To the OP: would you care if a woman you had been on a date with that evening did not get home safely afterwards? What would your reaction be if that were to occur? Would you even give her a second thought? Would you feel in any way responsible that, due to your lack of courtesy and decent manners, she met an untimely end?
I believe that most normal, psychologically healthy people would be devastated if such a thing were to happen.
That you feel differently suggests that perhaps your thoughts, feelings and reactions are not what one might consider normal.

I arrived home and logged on to the dating site and saw she viewed my profile 7 times
so I was like ok she looks interested. So I sent a text saying…“Just saying I had a nice time and hope u made it home safely and good luck on your presentation”
She responded 2 days later with “I arrived home safely, It was a pleasure meeting you and my presentation went very well”
Maybe her cable was down, so she couldn’t log in at home, social sites are blocked at work, and she doesn’t have a Smartphone.

Meaning SHE wanted to be polite, and answer you, but at the same time indicate either (1) a lack of interest or (2) a desire to move the relationship forward fairly slowly. Probably #1.

Oh yes. He’s been here less than two weeks and started five threads. Two of those are hatin’ on cops, this one is hatin’ on women who don’t think he’s the Emperor of the World, one is whining about his job not being guaranteed for life, and one is a relatively mild, if somewhat narcisstic thread about his screen name.
And yes, I realize I’ve just fed him a really big meal, but it’s the last one.

I have a feeling the OP is not going to get laid if he reveals that it is he that feels threatened and at risk in the big bad world, and he needs his female date to protect and defend him. Are you implying that it is outdated sexism for a man to feel that he has some responsibility for the protection of a woman in his company?
