But yes, I do think it’s a little out dated. I think most women out there are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves with out a male protector.
Now, I’ve been asked on more than one occasion to walk them to their car, and I’m happy to do that. Otherwise, I’d feel like I was patronizing her if I automatically assume she needs my protection.
All this is pretty much moot anyway because like I said, there is usually a call or text after the date anyway just to say “had fun” or something of the like.
