Last day of class was a piece of cake. The final project was supposed to take 3-4 hours or so. I was done in 2, and that included time for screwing a few things up and having to do them again. I took a scenic route out of VA, then stopped to get my hair cut and buy a pair of shoes. **FCD **called and we met for lunch. He just finished mowing the lawn, and I’ve started the laundry. I’m going to do some sewing once I’m done reading the funnies and Dear Abby. Such is my Firday.
Daughter is on the way home with a bunch of end-of-school swag, including truffles that she intends to share with her dear Mom.
Yesterday was fine with the Victoza, and my sugar was in normal-to-almost-normal ranges all day. Yay!
Today is my day off, and I took my shot. Started feeling a little nauseous, but decided maybe breakfast would make me feel better. Two hours later, there went breakfast. Blech, I hate to barf.
I felt better after that, and ran some errands. I bought a frozen pot pie to make for lunch, thinking it would be mild and not upset my stomach. Wrong!!! I ate half of it and lost it.
I called the doctor and he wants me to switch to taking the shot before bedtime, to see if I can sleep through the nausea.
I have heard that bulimia works great as a weight loss program. :rolleyes:

Holy crap! I slept until 1:30 pm today. I was up until 3 or 4am but I never sleep that long even when I’m up that late. I figured the dog would wake me up to go outside or the cats would want food. I think it’s a combination of finally having cool air and the pets being fine with just hanging out inside.
Anyway, I guess I needed it but it kind of spoiled my plans for the day. I work some scheduled shifts but I fill out my weekly hours doing office work on my own schedule. Was going to get another 5 or 6 hours today. I think I’ll just go in and check on foster kittens, do about an hour putting supplies away and then run errands and just use some of my vacation time.
Finishing my coffee now, had a nice breakfast, just need to get cleaned up.

Got my car back with nice, clean oil. My car guy scared the crap out of me - the first bill he handed to me was for $677!!! For an oil change?!??!? Um, no, for somebody’s Jeep. Whew! Anyway, my car is good for another 5Kmiles, so yay for that.
It’s supposed to be nice and cool again tonight, so the windows will be opened. Till then, the a/c stays on.
Time to empty the dryer, since the laundry fairy didn’t show…
My nap was good. I’m making a pot of soup right now, even if it is eleventy billion degrees outside. My tummy says soup. And cornbread.
Wile E - speaking of kittens, my son’s cat gave birth recently. To just one kitten! He wasn’t home when she had him, and he said he didn’t see any mess. We’re thinking there might have been a stillbirth or two. Cats don’t just have one kitten, right? I’m a dog person - what do I know.
I saw on the news this morning that my son’s apartment complex waas on fire!! It was the clubhouse and office portion, and he’s a good ten minutes from there. But I called to wake him up and warn him, and the neighbor had already pounded on the door. No one (N.O.N.)was hurt, thank goodness.
I think it might be dangerous to go to the bar tonight, so I’ll be staying home and tentatively trying to have a cocktail. (I usually join my husband on Friday evenings.)

So, we went to the retirement doin’s with the idea it was cocktails and finger foods, stand around chitchat stuff. Instead, it’s a for real dindin! Ribs, chicken wings, baked beans, N.O.T. sallit, pasta sallit, corn on the cob, garlic bread, peach cobbler and brownies. WOW! It were good too! We’s stuffded. And tahred.
Ok, time for beddy bye cause I promised to show up tomorrow mornin’ to do yahd work at the church house.
Woot! Tomorrow we bring home Polar! Even better, we just may be bringing home that lab. We just discussed it. If he’s still there, we’re going to look into it. There are also two females who are already spayed, so they may be a possibility if the lab puppy isn’t doable. He still isn’t neutured. I just got done checking the website.
I went to the MAUL today and bought two new summer dresses and two jacket possibilities to do with the bustier top I have. I got a deal on the dresses. They were fifty percent off. I paid less for the two dresses than one of them would have gone for at it’s original price. I feel good about that.
Now it’s time to make dinner. Chicken in peanut sauce tonight. Along with some rice and vegetables of course.
The hardware that I was waiting for in order to make some really cool bracelets was supposedly delivered to my front door today but THEY’RE NOT THERE!!! :dubious:
No rain on Thursday, hooray! Market was quiet 'cause it was overcast, but I sold some shiny things, took an order for some custom stuff, got a little production done AND met a lady who says she’ll lend me some grid wall panels for my displays at the Highland Games end of July. W00t! Also, she has some stuff she thinks I might could sell for her there, so we’re gonna hook up and see about that. Sounds like things that would sell, which would just mean a nice commission for me with minimal effort. I like that!
Went to the dentist this morning and got a filling. Yay! One more filling sometime down the road and I’ll be good. Then I came home and took a wee nap because I was tie-RED.
Haircut tomorrow! Must remember camera and take photos.
