Good morning - I’ve been busy so far. We went to Bob’s for breakfast and had one of the best servers EVAR!!! She was great. I think I’m going to write a note to their website to commend her. Then we ran to Lowe’s for some stuff **FCD **needed, then to TruValue for the hardware that he needed, then home. I helped him cut up the plywood, then checked my pottery (all still wet in the cabinet - tomorrow, I’ll take out a few pieces so they can dry a bit) then tidied the kitchen, since I was a slug last night and left the sink full of dirty dishes. I’ve got a pile of stuff ready to go to my mom’s and I’m waiting for daughter and Cozmo to get here so we can head out.
It’s drizzly - I hope some real rain falls today. Mom’s party was supposed to include swimming, but I’m not taking my suit - I just don’t want to deal with it. Besides, she’s north of here and it’s usually cooler there - and it’s 68° here right now - not swimming temps to my mind. So I’ll just visit and nosh and hang out.
I’m getting aggravated with my interrupted nights. Last night I woke at 3 to pee and didn’t fall back to sleep till after 4. From then it was wake and sleep till after 6. I just want 7 uninterrupted hours - is that too much to ask??
I kept waking up all night too,** FCM.** That is standard for me, though.
My husband is whining that I made the coffee too strong. It tastes most excellent to me. I even cut him slack I made it on regular, not strong brew. I don’t even buy dark roast beans, which are my favorite. I buy a medium roast. It’s most frustrating. I don’t even know how he can tell since he foo-foos his coffee up with cream and sugar. I drink mine black, nothing in it at all.
We’re going to some friends’ this evening for dinner and to hang out and watch movies. It should be a nice time. They want us to bring our dogs so all of the dogs can play together. During the day, we’ll try and knock out a little yardwork. Seeing as how my yard waste bin is pretty full, I don’t foresee much weeding being done, and that’s what we really need to get done.
Tomorrow, my daughter and her sweetie are coming down to smoke meat. They leave their smoker down here because they are not allowed to have one at the condo.
At the moment, it’s gray and dreary out. Hopefully, it clears up like they said it would. Yesterday’s weather was nothing write home about. Big, big, big thunderboomers and lightning yesterday morning, along with rain. While the rest of you are pretty much sweltering under the summer heat, we are wondering where are summer is hiding. We’ve had very few days of summer like weather.
Swampy, I have some garage cleaning to do today if you feel up to swinging by and getting it done?
Looks like our last non-blast furnace day. Tomorrow upper 90’s again. Me? I love the heat but I need to get inside into the more or less reasonable temps to sleep and such.
Plus if it’s going to be hot & sunny, I don’t wanna work, I wanna be out there playing!!!

Da cave is defilthyfied. I have showered and defilthyfied. N.O.L. has been consumed. It’s gray and dreary out which I take as a sign I should have me a nappy poo. So I shall.

Last night the P<iece of>T<rash> Cruiser died at the drive-in. Battery just ran completely dead. Which solved the engine light problem. Yay! New battery today, and later this week I’ll check in at Autozone and test the alternator, just in case.
Breakfast at Nana and Tata’s; Tata makes the best potatoes, and he gave the boys the recipe so they can make their own once in Montana. I cook a lot, and love fried potatoes, but I can’t duplicate his, even though his ‘recipe’ is just garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Four shitzu puppies all playing with each other is terribly cute; today I learned how to pluck the hair out of each of their ears, as I guess I’ll be doing that every day with Mouse once we get him home in a week or two. I’d have thought it would hurt, but I guess not; none of them flinch the slightest bit. Never owned a dog on my own, so I expect I’ll be learning a lot of new things.
Borrowed truck and handtruck from Tata and we’ll move some more stuff over today. Next week I’ll be super-busy getting as much over there on my own as I can.
Afternoon. I am home form yet another exhausting work trip. I got back this morning and and I was looking forward to a bit of downtime by myself as mr ems is out of town picking up his daughter. I get home and my plants are dead as he h turned off the sprinklers for some unknown reason and the house is a mess I spent an hour picking up his trail of crap he leaves everywhere. The kitchen is filthy he hadn’t even folded the clean towels I had asked to him to when I left on Tuesday. His dirty work clothes were on the bedroom floor. Urgh. I am so mad at him right now i cant even talk to him and now I have to spend my Saturday cleaning up after him. :mad:

I woke up with a migraine. Blech. So I went for a quick ride on Bob teh Wonder Pony, bought some fuds and am spending the rest of the day on the couch, reading. I did get two DVDs from the liberry so might work up the enthusiasm to watch one of them. Dinner is a cheezeburger patty with grilled mushrooms and onions, sallit with avocado and bacon bits, and maybe a baked N.O.T.
Butters it is. Call me anything, just don’t call me late for Meals- all three.
My work bldg is under renovation for the last month and I wrenched my back so have been in agony but dragging in anyway. I will not move heavy shit anymore though.
I saw the Doc yesterday for two cortisone shots in the muscles on either side of my spine mid back. The bed I purchased last July was too soft so yesterday I got a new very nice Sterns and Foster Firm bed delivered and I am in heaven. Back is a little better.
