Will This Be The MMP?

that works too

We’re currently having the epic battle of whether or not they ‘still’ need the hearing aids since they’re broke. Meanwhile I can hear their TV which is downstairs and at the far end of the house completely opposite of where I am. I enjoy this so much.:rolleyes:

Irked, came home.

YES! YES!

ahem.

I believe that would be an appropriate nickname, Ladies and Gentlemen.

I am proud to accept this award. I wanna thank my mom…and my agent…oh wait, I don’t have one of those. BEER FOR ALL!!!

Irked, came home, and watered for over 2 hours. I have watered plants today that I would never have expected to need water. Ever. There is a theoretical chance of rain tomorrow night, but given that the last 3 chances of rain netted us about 10 drops, I chose to water. Thoroughly.

Welcome, Buttercup! How are things? Are you still in the same house FCM and I visited last year?

Am crawling off to bed now…

Hugs.

GT

You forgot to thank the Little People!

Worked, fought traffic, got the mail, activated our new bank cards, updated accounts that use those auto payments, and made dinner.

I really feel for you folks dealing with this ridiculous heat. They say it’s the worst drought since the 30s and it’s really affected the corn crop. This will translate to higher food prices since 70% of our food contains corn or corn products.

I really do hope you all get some good rain soon. Out this way, it was mostly cloudy, but in the mid to upper 70s. It was a little muggy too.

I plan on doing a little relaxing tonight and that’s about it. I’ve given myself permission to skip chores tonight. I just don’t feel like doing them.

No, my dad my sisters and I all moved. We were only renting the house. I live with my my hunni, EFoP lives with her boyfriend, and mr. norinew and mudgirl live with his girlfriend

It was bad enough at Sweetie’s parents’ house when his father refused to admit he needed a new hearing aid. Then Sweetie’s grandfather died and his grandmother moved in with his parents. Now they have battling TVs - his father’s in the living room and his grandmother’s in her bedroom. Neither of them will get a damn hearing aid even though they can both afford it. His dad keeps fiddling with the one he has, insisting there’s nothing wrong with it and his grandmother wears those hearing-impaired headphone thingies so she can hear her TV (which is about 5’ away and turned up all the way) but there’s nothing wrong with her ears.
Sweetie has reminded his mother that when she retires in December, she’s more than welcome to spend some time with us if she ever finds herself feeling homicidal being home with them both all day.

OH! I have good Sister M news! She did not visit with the rest of the family today but she did send us a nice message on FB. Basically she apologized for not visiting. Then she said the glorious words I’ve been waiting to hear. “I am not okay and need to see a doctor. But I will be okay. Just need help.” :D:D:D:D

I just hope she follows through now.

Nah, water in glass bottles must have a “best by” or “expiration” on the bottle too. The politicians who came up with regs for “expiration dates on food and drinks” weren’t very keen on exceptions, other than for those items backed by lobbies which did not want expiration dates (in Spain, wine is about the only foodstuff which doesn’t have one).
Where’s Inigo Montoya when you need him? I want a pic with him and Buttercup!
Spidey, my condolences and I hope the marriage can be ended soon.

As regarding the water: We have earthquakes here, so I’m assuming it was part of some earthquake preparedness plan, but the bottles were all squinched in, like the water itself lost the ‘o’ part of h2o. Or like they leaked. Or…like they were really too old to be of any use. Considering the total lack of humidity in these parts, they probably managed to dry up!

+1 for the Buttercup nomenclature, I love it

Swampy, I’ll take the trout! I love me some fresh fish.

p.s. home-smoked trout is better than commercial-smoked salmon, even. Yum!

I resemble that remark…

:rolleyes::smack::mad:

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

Another day of heat advisories - I’m planning to spend most of it in my studio. I’d forgotten that I promised to make dishes for my sister’s dogs, and the owner of the little store wants more pottery from me, so busy busy busy I guess. Plus it’s cooler in the basement.

Am I the only one who remembers that we have an occasional Mumper named Buttercup Smith? Prepare for potential nickname confusion. Honestly, people, if you can’t keep up, take notes! :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s all I’ve got. I woke up too early, I couldn’t fall back to sleep, and now I’m hungry, so I’ll have to make something breakfast-like. It’s so hard to be me sometimes. Woe and alas!!! <insert dramatic pose here>

Happy Wednesday, if you can manage. * <deep, heartfelt sigh>*

Good Morning Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 72 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 91 and rain. It did rain some last night but not a whole lot. We shall see, yet again.

MOOOOOOM AIR Buttercup Smith is Butters. So TPR can be Buttercup. See, big difference!

Spidey hope the marriage thing is resolved soonest.

Tao it’s a frozen trout used for slappin’. Sure you still wanna eat it?

Welcome Buttercup! Thanks for the beer.

JDD’s parents are deaf as posts. The teevee volume in their house is unbearable. The have hearin’ aids but don’t use 'em cause they don’t like 'em. Go figure.

Ok, now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy says “feed me!” Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Mooooom, get a grip. Should the streams cross and BS shows up at the same time as TPR, Buttercup reverts to Princess. Duh. Read the book or watch the movie, fer Og sake. You’re retahred, so you sit around all day anyhoo. :stuck_out_tongue:

Blurf. Some days are not worth chewing through the restraints.

too hot too humid
New movie series?
I am cranky and full of inflammation and ow.

:goose:

You come over here and say that, bubba!!! :stuck_out_tongue: Smartass…

Breakfast was PB&J with some of the peach jam I made yesterday - very yum!! And I’ve got the sprinkler going before it gets too hot - some of my new grass is dying and I spent too much to let the yard go to dirt again. Stoopit heat.

I should do some laundry today - it’ll dry in no time. Of course, that would require me to walk *allllllllll *the way to the bedroom to get the dirties, then *allllllllll *the way down to the basement to throw them in the washer. Will it ever end??? Shouldn’t someone be responsible for doing this crap for me? Seriously…
