Will This Be The MMP?

Do you work the same place as me, **Spidey? **

I am hanging on to my sanity and civility by the weakest of threads.

There isn’t a large enough vocabulary to adquately express my disgust and hatred of my workplace right now. I’m stressed out, completely overworked (four people’s jobs anyone?) and there is still no relief or end in sight.

This weather is pissing me off. For the last week the weather channel has been insisting we’ll have thunderstorms. It has not rained at all. I WANT A THUNDERBOOMER DAMMIT!!!

Anyway, the hourly forecast says the temps for the rest of the day will be: 92, 86, 88, 90, 87, 73. Seriously? We’re gonna have a 20° temperature drop in the next 5-6 hours? No friggen wonder my whole body is aching. One of these days I’ll convince my body that I don’t need it to be a damn barometer.

We are so pathetically slow at the clinic right now. I actually came home at lunch time (to stay) because I couldn’t stand the thought of sitting there for an additional 5 hours with nothing to do. Our last patient of the morning left at 11:30. We didn’t have another until 2:00 and then the next was at 4:30. We have two appointments scheduled for tomorrow. Glad I don’t work tomorrow.

I had fun visiting with my sister’s family yesterday! My niece is so scary smart and she’s freakin’ adorable. My sister’s boyfriend is hilarious and Sweetie really likes him too. Apparently Tripp does video stuff for his church and weddings and stuff so he and Sweetie had a long conversation about cameras and editing and stuff like that.
They and my mom and step-dad left early this AM to go to Plattsburgh to see my grandfather. Sister M still doesn’t want to see anyone so they’re just going to see gpa and my aunt and then come back here. So 10-12 hours in the car for 1-2 hours of visiting.

We found out the hard way (last night) that all the outlets on the exterior walls of both our bedrooms are on the same circuit (also the basement lights and the furnace). Now, the furnace doesn’t run in the summer and the basement lights were off. But, we had our bedroom AC going and the portable was going in the spare bedroom. Of course we ended up tripping a breaker. We finally figured out that if we put them both on energy saver, they can run at the same time. But, we had to move Sweetie’s CPAP to the interior wall outlet just in case. We really need to do some rewiring in this place. The circuits are all stupid.

Beware?
It worked with Virginia creeper.
YMMV.

Yeah. You could take so much that you’ll be scratching in your sleep.

The point is benadryl will give you some relief, but not as much or for as long as it would against an irritant other than urushiol.

I am not going to do what I did yesterday and decide to skip lunch and then at 2:00 figure out if I didn’t eat I was going to be sick, then get sick anyway and have to leave work half an hour early.

I’m going to go have lunch soon. I just want to read one more thread…

Lol, I’m at that point now, sorta. Woke up with a headache, neckache. I tend to eat later at night, but yesterday I actually ate breakfast and stopped eating around 8 at night. No big deal, normally I don’t eat until 2 in the afternoon. But it finally hit me that maybe I need some damn FOOD.

Everything’s going well moving-wise, utility changes were a breeze, we’ll be moved in before the 1st and have plenty of time to clean thoroughly before the landlady comes on the 31st for the walk-through, we’ll have the boys one last weekend before they go to Montana so they can see the new place. We have the keys already and can move things in as we wish, which is a gigantic, huge help.

But my head hurts and I’m cranky and now I’m having coffee since my cat stuck her nose in my cheez-whiz. (Gives up on the cracker-cheezwhiz breakfast)
She really, REALLY likes cheez whiz.

Between cortizone on me & Allegra in me, it doesn’t itch. However, it is ugly looking & still contagous, so I’m afraid of it spreading to other areas of my body. I now have two small bubbles on my forearm & one on the finger on my other hand.
The booze on the other hand is because I just found out I’m married!

I thought her scumbag, incompetent lawyer finally filed the final paperwork a year ago; but, noooo, that never happened! :smack:

Man, that sucks.

Aww Spidey, that SUCKS!!

I’d offer you Guiness, but apparantly it CAN go flat, even the kind that self-inflates after you open it. Ugh.

I have some chocolate vodka still, if that would help!

Hey, maybe chocolate vodka IN the flat Guiness…Damn, if I could stand beer I’d so try this.

I beg your pardon?

Of course I’m for gay marriage. Why shouldn’t they be as miserable as the rest of us?

BearHug Chocolate-Infused Vodka. Quite good! I can’t find a pic online, but I found it at…crud, I’m in California, so I can’t just say ‘liquor store’ cause everyone carries booze here. I know I got it around Christmas, 'cause that’s when everyone does the boxed versions with glasses. This came with two neat rocks glasses that have a round bottom, yet they don’t spill. Pretty cool.

Found pic! http://www.spirituosen-superbillig.com/pic/367734p.jpg

They do other infusions too, such as cranberry. I really can’t drink booze straight, and unfortunately this is no exception, but I keep trying. I do manage a few sips but my bod just really, really hates alcohol. It’s very smooth, though, and quite tasty.

My dad’s nigh-twenty-year-old cat Mayhem got outside during the heat wave and got lost. Then there was a thunderstorm. My dad found Mayhem a couple of days later and brought him home where he promptly refused to eat. He finally ate some food from a spoon. I told dad to switch him to wet food because it’s stinkier than dry. Mayhem is old and skinny and deaf and did I mention he’s almost twenty?

I wonder if my sisters will go in with me on a Basset Hound puppy when Mayhem goes? My dad needs a pet even if he wants to pretend he doesn’t.

OK, let me make one thing absolutely clear, **BBBobbio **- we ain’t leaving! Apart from the fact that we’ve spent much of the last 8 years making this place the way we want it and the fact that we deliberately planned to live here once we were able to leave Florida, there is no way I’d want to live in freekin’ Johnstown, PA. In fact, I can’t think of any place in PA where I’d want to live. Southern Merrylande is where I want to be. Period. So chill, dude… :stuck_out_tongue: And anyway, when was the last time our paths crossed? For all I know, you could have moved to outer Mongolia! :stuck_out_tongue:

**Tugig **- if we don’t want to do anything besides exist, he could retire now. But our aspirations are a bit higher than mere existence, and he intends to stay full time for about 2 more years, then maybe part time as needed after that.

Howdy, TPR!! Long time no see, literally. Welcome to our little playground!

Now I need to figure out what I want for supper. The only leftovers in the fridge are several pieces of pizza that **FCD **ordered. I don’t like all the crap he puts on his, so that’s not an option. And I really don’t feel like cooking. I’ll have to stare in the pantry for inspiration, I guess. Oh, wait - I think I have some burgers in the freezer - that’s a quick and easy solution.

I’m cleaning out the pantry. Can’t believe how much crap we have in there that is past-date. I don’t normally give a care about that, but some of this stuff, wow. AND finally got down to the bottom shelf, waaaaaaaaaaaay in the back, and threw out the water that was there when we moved in. lord knows how many renters ago it was put there, but the expiration date was 2001.

The cupboards here are annoying as hell, and I’m looking SO forward to a kitchen with useful space! Everything here is either really low, really high, or goes around corners to where you can’t even see, or REACH, whatever the hell is back there. Can’t wait to get to THOSE cupboards; probably gremlins in there.

waitaminute - water has an expiration date???

Howdy Y’all! I came home from irk, made and ate dindin, beastloaf, mac & cheese, green beans and corn bread. Cleaned up the kitchen then we went over to OYKW’s place and mowed his yahd in anticipation of rain which has yet to show up. Now I’s home, all showered and tahrd!

I read but did not retain much so, yays, boos, hugs, noogies, trouts, chitlins, woohoos, how you doin’s as needed all around.

Laterz!

I think it’s less the water than the plastic bottle. Unless you have no problem with chemicals leaching into your water (I don’t personally).

I have no problem being nicknamed Westley but it might be useful to know that I am a girl:D:p:D

Alright, Buttercup
