Briefly, the “Arab Winter” affected no country at anywhere near the scale as the Sunnis attacking Shia-aligned regimes in Iraq and Syria. You effectively equate the Sunni ISIS (almost created by Bush-Cheney incompetence) with a hypothetical Shi’ite uprising against a Sunni regime in Iraq. You are an idiot.

I live in a neighborhood which, while still good, is not the most expensive part of town anymore. People here don’t say it outright but the older ones are unhappy that “they” are moving in. But for us “they” involves Asian Silicon Valley execs making lots of money. And all damned legal. Racism is not attached to any semi-rational cause.

Um, undocumented people do pay taxes, though? Various ways? I mean, the stereotype of workers totally paid under the table doesn’t really apply to undocumented workers in the trades. They have tax numbers, one way or another; they get payroll taxes withheld. They just don’t have visas.

And Income Tax isn’t the only tax. Texas has no State Income Tax, but we have Sales Tax. Most of the public schools are funded by Property Tax; believe me, if you rent your landlord* does* pass that expense on to you.
In fact, our taxes are pretty regressive. And there is no question that the undocumented pay their share. Or more than their share, depending on their incomes.
Me, I find it useful to know how my words are being perceived, even by people I disagree with. I mean, I know you’re not concerned what the evil libs think about you, but it’s useful information.
On the other hand, you already know the sort of baggage that comes with, say, calling people “illegals,” and I imagine you not only accept it but enjoy it.
