No lunch today. I’m on a new diet and it calls for a “purge” day once a week. No food, just an herbal drink four times a day. Today is the day.
“Country Italian” salad from Trader Joe’s.
Instant refried beans, hot sauce, and bread. Not too exciting, but a welcome break from Chinese food.
A package of ramen noodles, cooked, of course, mixed into a ready-cut package of cole slaw. Added to it mayo, rice vinegar, milk and the oriental flavoring in the ramen package.
What are instant refried beans?
I had a green chile and cheese tamale, with yogurt and an orange on the side. Mmm, I love green chiles so damn much.
Left over Indian food, including naan, dal and something I’m not sure of.
Strong coffee and Eggs Florentine in a local restaurant
Two bananas, two jelly cups and a soda that I bought during my lunch hour. I need to start remembering to bring a lunch.
Salad – pre-packaged “Mediterranean salad” greens (and purples and whites) from the market, feta cheese, black olives, fresh tomatoes, slices of rotisserie chicken (heated separately), balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Banana. Yogurt (orange creme popsicle flavor!). My hungry cow-orkers are giving me the stinkeye.
I’m headed out in a little over an hour to pick up my grown daughters and their SO’s from Morgantown, an hour and a half away. So lunch will fit strangely into my day.
I’m picking them up at a Sheetz (gas station/convenience store/full lunch menu) so will probably get an order of loaded nachos to nom while I wait.
I’ve been on a nachos kick lately, for some reason. . .
But, since I can’t start Christmas Eve dinner until we get home, it’s important that I eat something in the middle of the day!
Nothing. Fasting. I’m a few pounds up.
