I don’t watch the show but this Sanjaya fellow certainly seems to be making a name for himself. I can hardly turn a corner at work without hearing people talking about him. I don’t stay tuned into the conversations long enough to hear what’s being said but, what is that saying about there being no such thing as bad publicity?
Besides, the show isn’t over yet and he’s already gotten his own spin-off thread! Sounds like success to me.
This season is making the regular news and news commentary programs now. The apparent efforts to keep Sanjaya in the competition is seen as destroying the show. Many calls are coming in from overseas to keep Sanjaya not so much as to screw the system but to do it “for his people.”
Regardless of who wins, it is still up to the record company that signs with the winner whether they would ever release their first album. And since that falls to Simon, who has already expressed his displeasure with Sanjaya, one could surmise that if Sanjaya “wins” the competition, his album either will not get released by the record company or will get released with minimal to no promotion from the company.
It’s not personal. It’s business. 
Someone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this impossible? The AI toll-free numbers aren’t accessable even from Canada, let alone overseas.
As for tonight, meh. Sligh has been losing it…it almost felt like he intentionally blew it. Of course, I’d have much rather seen Haley get booted, but there’s always next week for that.
