American Horror Story --- WTF???

Constance would disguise her voice. It perfectly fits her character, and she didn’t want Ben to know Tate was her (dead) son.

Do you really want to know?
The 4th kid was another little girl with DS. This is confirmed by her appearance on the AHS website where she’s seen holding Addie’s hand. In the graphic she looks eight or so, and Addie was the age we saw her as present-day.

Rumor has it that #3, the boy Beau from this week’s episode, was acused of killing a sister. Since it wasn’t Addie…
I assumed that the kid was chained in the attic of Constance’s house next door. Are you sure it was the Murder House?

Well, he did appear as a ghost (scared the hell out of Violet, then Tate told him to go away), so yeah, apparently it was the Murder House.

Good point… now I’m really confused about who lived where and when.

It can’t be vice versa, can it? If Larry lived their first, he would have already been burned by the time he smothered Beau in the house.

That’s what I couldn’t figure out. Was Larry living in the house when his wife and children died? It looked like the dining room of the house. But it’s strange that Beau would still be there.

I don’t think Larry was living there, i think he was living next door where Constance is now. His burned family hasn’t been seen as ghosts in the house, if they were there he wouldn’t be as interested in it as he is.

Good point. Still, that’s a hard to follow timeline.

Since we’ve learned he hasn’t been in prison, I’m wondering if perhaps he really does have a fortune tucked away that could buy the house if he wanted. True he was going after Ben for a thousand dollars but 1) he’s crazy 2) he already lied to Ben about lots of other things [including living in the house] 3) he lives very modestly and probably doesn’t even need a thousand dollars (especially for modeling shots- he’s deranged, not stupid). If so, I wonder how his fortune will come into play.

I think in December, once NaNoWriMo is done and not taking up a couple hours of my time every day, I’m going to sit down and rewatch all the episodes, because I’m finding this show surprisingly difficult to follow. I mean, I was pretty sure that the Halloween episodes didn’t just encompass October 31st, for example, but some insist that Tate and Ben’s coffee date definitely took place on the 31…who knew this would be the sort of show you’d practically have to take notes to keep everything straight?

Aha! I think I’ve figured out the timeline a bit.

Tate’s killing spree and death were in '94 . Constance had Larry kill Beau, also in '94. BUT the flashback of Larry and his wife wasn’t necessarily at the same time, was it? That could have been long before, sometime in the 80’s, perhaps.

So Constance moved next door after killing Moira in the 80’s. Larry and his family moved in. Larry fell in love with Constance, kicked his family out. Larry’s wife burned herself and their kids to death instead of leaving. Constance moves in, bringing her kids with her. Then in '94, both Tate and Beau have their death scenes, which I suppose could be in either order.

In other words, pretty much as Squooshed described. But the key is that the Larry/Constance/Beau flashback was dated at '94, but I don’t think the Larry/wife/girls/fire flashback was dated. Was it?

Larry didn’t have a burned face when he killed Beau. Are you suggesting that he got burned later, not in the fire that killed his wife and children?

Yup. Forgot to mention that part, but yes, that’s what I’m suggesting.

I’m still waiting to find out the “doctor to the stars” and his wife did more than just illegal abortions, because the whole idea of them deserving hellish karmic payback because of that is ridiculous. We know doc was a weirdo and liked to huff his own gas, but beyond that what did he do wrong? I’m the type who thinks a doctor helping girls like that is a good thing rather than bad. That is, as long as the abortions were all he did. Again, that’s a detail I hope they touch on.

How about turning his dismembered child into frankenbaby using the heart of one of his patients?

They never said it, but I got the impression he did more, like maybe kill and rob some of them, or blackmail them if they had any money or fame. His wife said something about “what we did to those poor girls”. I agree that a run-of-the-mill abortionist, even an illegal one [though one who actually knew what he was doing]), wouldn’t have that much to worry about karmically.

I must have missed them saying that. If he did kill one of his patients for a heart, that would definitely be bad. And making a frankenbaby, well, that goes without saying, lol.

Something else that bothers me about this show is the details they made sure to include in the pilot (Vivian’s obsession with organic, natural things, her playing the cello) have never been addressed again. Maybe I’m spoiled from watching shows like Breaking Bad, but when effort is made to emphasize something on a show, I expect to see a reason for it. AH just leaves shit hanging, and that annoys me.

And if Constance had one or even two babies with serious problems, why on earth would she keep having them? That’s just sick.

So, did I miss it or did they never really address the one doctor falling unconscious after looking at Vivian’s sonogram?

They did, Vivian even went to see her.

Okay, thanks. I must have been distracted by something and missed that scene.
