Sometimes I think the judges have instructions to make things interesting by pushing bubble contestants and crapping on the front runners. It seems that it was their instructions this week. I wonder if they’ll crap on Adam no matter what he does because that’s what the index cards say? I mean, you can always say it was “a mess” if t was daring or “old fashioned” if it wasn’t or “indulgent” either way.
If you’d forgotten about his “challenge” you wouldn’t bring it up every week. Just shut up about it. He knows he’s blind. Seriously, did you say that to Stevie Wonder last week? That you’re proud of him because he overcame his challenge?
Matt was OK.
Timbermatt wasn’t that bad.
I actually liked Matt for the first time this week.
I’m baffled by the judges feedback this week. Why is what Matt did any different from what Danny and Scott did? He took a song, and he more or less sang it the way it sounds.
Yeah, I thought the judges were a little rough on Matt.
Lil is awful. Celine was a heinous choice.
One of Lil’s better performances. I like the wig.
Bolsters my index card theory. Which means they’ll love Lil – she’s on the bubble, too. And they’ll hate Adam. He’s too much of a front runner.
Lil reminded me of a James Bond theme song.
Rounds sounds fine, I guess. I don’t know. I always think she sings ok, but it’s never anything I would listen to by choice.
Send them all home and start over.
Did I hear Ryan say that Adam is going to do Wild Cherry? Could he possibly be doing “Play That Funky Music, White Boy?” That has the potential to be the most awesome thing ever seen on this show.
This is cracking me up.
I was liking until the chorus. I think it sounded rushed and the melody was a little too altered.
Good save at the end, though. I still think he’s the best, by far, and loved hearing someone do that song on AI. He’s the only one that brings anything approaching excitement every week.
OK, bad song choice. It’s a novelty song, and novelty song’s don’t cover well. On the other hand, he’s so clearly the front runner right now. Every week I think he stands out as somebody who doesn’t even know he’s a contestant. He acts like a pop star.
Eh. I like Adam but I thought it was one of his weaker performances.
Oh, giving props to the band. He’s a pro.
