Will they continue to have a 4th Judge next season?

Megan’s brother heckles Kara

I have mixed feelings about Megan’s departure. She’s really awful, but there’s going to be a whole mess of bland next week without her.

I’m still stewing on the judges comments about Allison’s outfit yesterday. I’m feeling really bad for her. She apparently has an amazing amount of self-confidence - especially for a 16 year old - but week after week the judges have told Megan and Lil how beautiful they look without saying anything about Allison’s appearance. Obviously, no, she’s not a beauty queen, but it’s just uncool to berate an adolescent girl so publically on her looks. And now I’ll get off my soapbox.

And I love me some David Cook, but that’s probably my least favorite song on the album. Blah. And he totally needs another haircut.

Well I only watched to see David Cook, so I’m pleased. If anyone here is interested in the music video for the song he & his band did it’s here http://music.att.net/s/s.dll?spage=fl/swfs/standalonePlayer.html&xmlstr=MU_Artist_DavidCook&aid=6484458
God, he’s beautiful.
“Bar ba sol” is the better song; wish he could have played that one too.

Anyway - Yay, Megan’s gone. Wish people would get behind Allison.

Yep, Cook is wonderful. has it been a year already?
I think Alliosn is prettier than Lil and Megan so go figure.
You kindof have to have a tough skin to be a famous singer!

Megan is about 3 weeks overdue. She certainly had a distinct sound, and she’s a lovely young lady despite that unfortunate mess on her right arm. But the was out of her league.

I’ll miss Megan for the eye candy factor only. I don’t understand why Allison keeps ending up in the bottom three.

That seems to be the kiss of death this season. Alexis, Sarver and now Megan – all of 'em with little kids at home, all of 'em gone. Wonder if Lil is sweating.

I have to wonder if people worried about Allison actually vote for her? It seems like there are contestants who appeal to an older audience who watch the show but rarely vote. That’s inevitable, I guess, but when we wonder why someone isn’t doing better, that’s the answer. You can’t expect other people to vote your opinions for you.

God, I hope so. Kara is so unable to take any kind of criticism that it’s almost sad to watch sometimes. She’s made herself look incredibly stupid several times, beginning with the very first episode with bikini girl. She’s constantly lowering herself to the level of the immature hecklers.

Labrador Deceiver - My thoughts exactly regarding Kara.

Didn’t Megan screw up the lyrics on her sing-out? She kinda looked at the band at one point, then got back on track.

Not that it matters. She was there longer than she should have been.

I’m disappointed that Lil hasn’t done better. I have her picked as the winner, but I’m changing my mind to Adam - or maybe that little cutie-pie Kris. Hubba-hubba!

Oh - and the group sing wasn’t horrible, for once.

The morning news on my local Fox affiliate is trying to pump some air into the Megan - Simon interchange, where it was revealed that neither one cares about the other. Horrors.

It certainly was not smart politically to tell a judge, who in theory has the power to reprieve your execution, that you don’t care what he thinks. But anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together (which includes Megan) knew that there was no way in hell the judges would have used their save on Megan. It was reserved for Allison this week.

For someone with any self-awareness maybe, but not for Megan. For her to say “It’s OK, it’s OK” as if to comfort a crowd that *wasn’t very upset to begin with *was just silly. And the bird thing, c’mon.

Actually, I thought Megan’s sing-out was pretty good. Miles better than the night before. If she had performed that well before being voted out, she might still be there.

She didn’t forget a lyric, she started in on a verse that had been cut, while the band started playing the chorus, I think.

I think you’re being a little hard on her. There was a rather vocal group of people in the audience that she was addressing with her “It’s okay” comments. Yes, the bird thing was silly, but I got the impression she was going out of her way to show the US that going home didn’t bother her, and she went a little overboard. You were essentially seeing a 22-year-old mother let go of a lot of pent up emotion at that point. Judging by the reaction of the rest of the group, the inane bird squawking was an inside joke amongst them after Rockin’ Robin.

ETA: well he’s back, I’m glad I’m not alone there.

I’m glad somebody mentioned the Journey song. I don’t even like the song, but thought it was strangely compelling. And I thought for two of the three in the bottom 3, they would have killed is they’d done THAT instead of what they did do.

The song was good, but the lip-synching was awful again. Someone needs to tell them that they need to actually sing into the dead mic to make it look real.
