American Idol 4/17

Thank Og!

I must say, I’m rather enjoying this performance, being his last and all.

Wait, did he just change the lyrics? What a dipshit.

At last, our long national nightmare is over.

I thought it was clever. “Let’s give them something to talk about, other than hair.”

And God forbid he desecrate such an amazing song.

Yeah, that was pretty fucking dorky. Even though I called Lakisha getting the boot. The stardust has faded, and she’s not going to get folks outside of her current fanbase to vote for her. I think she’s a dead woman walking.

Nice to see the national Phil hate fading. He’s just… pretty good and he doesn’t deserve to go. Yet.

Talent-wise, I think Chris is the weakest. I’m calling the final three: Melinda, Jordin, and Blake.

Wow…America gets it right for the second straight week!

Sorry, xnylder. Now you have nothing to look forward to with my posts anymore.

Shit,I was hoping laquisha would go.

I thought it was cute. The kid knew what was being said about him and he didn’t let it get to him, he rolled with it and had fun with it. I thought he was going to be a fragile kid when it started but he proved me wrong and I am rather impressed by him. Although there were moments of possible attitude from him I don’t think he ever really too himself too seriously. He’s an actual performer, even if not the best singer. I wish him well.

Dial Idol got it right.

Woo hoo! I have Sanjaya going home this week in the Prediction Contest thread!

Well, to split hairs, they had Blake as second to last, and LaLaI’mNotListening as third to last. But yeah, they had the right bottom three, and the last place going to Sanjaya.

he is gone. yay!

I don’t think I said anything at all about the quality of the song and its original lyrics.

Wile E, I can see it from your perspective, too, and I can’t say I never enjoyed anything he did. I still think it’s a little ridiculous and… I dunno. Undignified? I think he could have left it alone and maybe left on a better note. Oh well.

Same here. He had his serious moment of glory, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him around some more. If he were my kid, I’d be on the lookout for psychological troubles though, he’s been through a lot of unreal stuff and a lot of negative shit too.

Unless this is a whoosh and I’m missing the joke, it’s LaKisha not Laquisha.

I haven’t voted since the first week, when I voted a gazillion times for Rudy. I liked his voice and his energy. He was the first to go, of course.

I’m worried about Blake. How can Chris and Phil get more votes than Blake?

I like Lakisha’s voice but she seems a bit – dare I say it? – duller than the others. Her personality has no lustre, no spark. Maybe she’s just tired, and missing her daughter.

Plus it looks like his sister’s naked pics have hit the web. Say it ain’t so!

I’m betting that a lot of people strategically voted for Phil and Chris last night, since they seemed the most likely to get bumped off by Sanjaya. Otherwise, there’s no way to explain Blake in the bottom 3.

And yes DanBlather, Martina McBride = Cameron + dark blue eyes.

Yeah,i know…thanks tho.

(I only mentioned it because every time you wrote it I read it in my head as “la-squisha” for some reason and it was starting to make me twitch)

Because Blake’s a mediocre talent, too? I assume Chris barely beat out Blake for that spot, and Phil actually did well.
