American Idol 4/3 - 4/4

Aww poor rockle, as soon as Ryan announced Tony was sick and Buble was subbing, I pictured you recoiling in horror.

And awwwwwww poor Gina, I’m so bummed. :frowning:

Man, that’s just wrong.

Who else was in the bottom 3?

Bottom Three: Haley, Gina, Phil. Phil safe (again!!). Sent home: Gina.

Haley and Phil, with Phil getting to whoo! back to the couches

Believe me, I wish I hadn’t watched. Why, God, why did you let ABC move “Lost” to 10pm? I could be bitching about that right now instead! At least on “Lost” there aren’t sing-outs that make me cry. This show is such bullshit.

:frowning: I need a hug.

I have no problem with Gina going. She and Phil are the two I like the least at this point. Haley is at least good eye candy.

Man, I’ve started about four posts but I’m simply at a loss for what to say. Stupid Sanjaya. Stupid Haley. Stupid America. And yeah, what rockle said. :frowning:

Grrrrrrrrrrrr. The best has been booted. Now we are left with Aretha wanna-bes, lounge lizards, and a clown.

Not just on the stage, either, but at the Judges’ table, as well. (Not sure where Seacrest fits in, but it’s somewhere.)

Why is everyone acting like somebody good got booted? Gina is no more talented than Haley or Phil or Sanjaya and she wasn’t making up for her mediocre talent with looks or personality. What would be the point of keeping her around? All she is is a 90 second dead spot during the performances is every week.

IMO. as long as Haley is going to keep wearing those short skirts, she can stay as long as she wants.

That means DialIdol is WAAAAAAAAAY off in their predictions.

They had Phil, Gina and Haley at nos. 2, 7, and 9, respectively.

Granted, they hedged their bets by saying Phil was not safe at #2, but I think a good methodology would do a better job than put the real #7 at #2.

I didn’t see the show tonight, so I’m reading this thread to catch up… I’m in the same place as you, yellowval. If the producers hadn’t picked such godawful themes, those two would have been long gone. So, what’s going to happen when they finally do Rock & Roll night, eh? Anything from the Eagles to the Stones to Metallica? Anything with a hint of an edge and a backbone? Damn, this is a bad season.

With Gina gone, we’ll probably get a selection of Genesis, the Beatles, Sting, and the Turtles. Haley will do Abba. Future Soccer-mom stays another week!

Aw man… Gina and Jordin are the only ones I liked!

Obviously, a few of us disagree. I actually think Gina was the 4th most talented person in the entire Final Twelve (after Melinda, LaKisha, and Brandon). Plus, I think she is very pretty – just in a non-pageant sort of way – and she had plenty of personality, which shouldn’t matter anyway since this is supposed to be a talent competition.

Because she was good, maybe? Granted, it’s all subjective, but I can’t pop Haley’s long legs into my CD player on a road trip, good luck with that.

I’m going to pretend that means “Selling England by the Pound”, “Happiness is a Warm Gun”, “We’ll Be Together”, and “Grim Reaper of Love” (yep, that’s an actual title) so I can stay in my happy place. For Diogenes, Haley can do “Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight)”. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to listen to some Megadeth to cheer me up…

That’s what I meant. I can really see him doing that. He seems like a pretty friendly guy and he can sing moderately well.

Sanjaya and Haley should have gone before Gina did.

Crap.

The sing-off was really aprapos this week.
