Another sleepless MMP

I just got instructions on how to do that. Click the little mag glass in the search box and change the default browser back to Google.

Had a good party/beer:thirty. Of the 28 of almost 150 of us who had Thanksgiving Dinner together 28 of us are left and 25 made the last shout-out for our buddy – which goes to show what a great guy he is. This is the first time someone has left with more than 5 or 6 close friends to see him/her off (people have left on such a regular basis). I’m wondering who will be left by June 5 when I leave. He is getting his dream job back near where he grew up so we’re all really happy but we’re going to miss the little imp as well. He just had a knack for making a tough day that much easier.

Happy Saturday!

It’s a cloudy 66 degrees but it’s supposed to get sunny and 74.

I got my google back!

I think today will be a day from hell. I woke up too early, I thought it was 7 and it was 5am. The sleepies will hit me soon I think, but I’ll try to get a few things done before then. I have dishes to wash, clothes to wash, dog to bathe and his toenails need a clipping. They are always too long because clipping his nails is a job from hell, he acts like we are killing him. I need to inventory the freezer and pantry, time for grocery shopping and the kid wants to go to the armpit tomorrow or Moonday. I guess we should, I try to go every other week, but I get stressed out just thinking about it.
Some guy at her church is flirting with her, maybe she’ll get another bf soon and be bearable to be around.

Up too early once again. What ya gonna do??

Today will include mulching, and maybe some mowing. I need to run the push mower in the ditch - ugh. But with his bad knee, **FCD **is NOT going to do it. Anyway, whatever happens, happens.

That’s all I’ve got for now. Brain still fuzzy. Happy Saturday.

I’m up on time. I’m off to irk in a bit. Feeling better today, so hopefully things will go more smoothly than yesterday.

Up and caffeinated. Laundry in a bit, then hockey binge watching.

Hope it’s a better day for you, Cat

I seem to be intact this morning, although I am not a Morning Person, and no not eat quiche.
:dubious:

spaz (we can call you that until we come up with a new nick, right?), I’m glad you’re feeling better.

doggio, although neither of us are rabid hockey fans (we’re more into baseball), Baby Sis and I have a friendly wager for the playoffs (she lives in the Chicago 'burbs): if the Blackhawks win, I have to make Chicago dogs for her and her family at our next meeting. If the Preds win, she has to make Nashville style hott chicken for all of us. Go Preds!

It’s beautiful outside, so I think I’ll take a shower and get out on the bike.

I’d say you can call me whatever you want, but then I remembered that **flytrap **is around and I don’t want to open that door.

It’s been a productive morning. After breakfast, we went to Lowe’s so **FCD **could get a plug end for his welder and I got some plants. There’s coleus for the planters on the front porch, portulaca to go around the rose garden, and impatiens for the beds in front of the shed. We’ll see what other gardening chores I accomplish before I crash and burn.

It’s a gorgeous day and I’m in shorts for the first time this year. Sure hope the sun reflecting off my legs won’t blind the neighbors!

The sky is turning…blue. Is it the Apocalypse?

:dubious:

Nah, he’s too busy kicking puppies and cheating orphans.

I’ve been productive already today. Changed out the shutoff valve for the icemaker, after the last one decided to leak and ruin some valuable hardwood flooring under the fridge.

Mowage of the yahd will ensue shortly.

I knew I’d fall back asleep and I did.
I feel better now.

I have some chicken in the oven for lunch. I don’t know what I’ll have with it, maybe nothing because I’m not very hungry.
Then I need to get to irk around here.

It’s a beautiful spring day, and I should go outside and do things, but I am tired, and achy, and I have a major case of the donwannas.

Spaz Cat.

Hurt myself doing the first, and no lunch money on weekends, dammit.
:dubious:

Break time from my planting spree! I put a dozen red impatiens in the 2 beds by the shed, then transplanted 3 hostas into some bare spots in those beds. Next, I ringed my 4 rose bushes with 18 portulacas, fed the roses, and set up the sprinkler to soak it all in. For the moment, I’m having a sprite and cooling down before attacking the 4 planters on the front porch. The soil will be enriched with composted manure, then I’ll plant the coleus. I should have gotten some caladiums, dammit! Maybe tomorrow…

Once I’m done with the planters, we’ll see if I have any mulching energy left. That chore might have to wait for Monday, since it’s supposed to rain tomorrow. If the rain holds off early, I’ll mow the ditch then, unless I feel motivated enough to do it today.

What I wish I had is a hammock strung under the trees - that would be very pleasant.

I have no idea what I am going to do gardening wise this year.
Maybe nothing, the front yard s already nice and both sides match. Not that I really care if both sides match but that seems to be the norm on this street.

The back yard has a huge tree in it and as much as I love trees I’d like to get rid of this one, but I think it would cost thousands to get it cut down.
The back yard does need work but I think it won’t happen anytime soon.

Oy!

I took a lovely ride this morning in the foothills of the Cumberland Plateau. When I got home, I decided to go through the box of pictures Dad sent home with me. That went well, but I decided to pull what I thought was one box that I had stashed under the bed.

Have you ever begun a task and gotten sidelined by a much, much larger one? I hadn’t thoroughly cleaned under the bed since getting a new one four or five years ago. :smack: I found three boxes of pictures and among other things, 17 books, four magazines, seven socks, four pair of house slippers and a pair of underwear that wasn’t mine.

Now I’m fixin’ to takeanother shower before heading to Target to purchase under the bed storage that doesn’t require me being on my belly reaching things with a broom.

The Thing Under The Bed wears underwear?
