Yup. Let me make the reccommended modifications.

Wahoo!
Nothing to do with the US, other than you wouldn’t exist without him and without a queen who was crazy enough to finance him? I have nooooo idea. OTOH, I agree that you guys need more real holidays. And four-day-weekends, those are good.
We’re having it tomorrow, of course, as it’s the real anniversary. And now excuse me, breakfast just arrived One of our coworkers celebrated her birthday on Sunday and has asked for help dealing with the leftover sachertorte and bizcocho… oh, the drudgery!
I’m up early sipping java out of the big mug on this nice, cool morning. I’ve got a short call today at work. I’ll probably spend more time pulling reports for it than I’ll actually spend on the phone. The good news is I’m off next Monday & Tuesday and I’m seriously considering taking next Wednesday off too.
The President is visiting my city of Three Rivers today. I’m really hoping I don’t get stuck in traffic on the way home. Apparently he really likes my fair city, but I almost miss the old days when TPTB totally ignored my town.
Happy Tuesday, everyone!

P.S. I once knew a very large, white cat named Squid. He was a great cat, probably because he thought he was a dog.
Blurf. Carry on.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 67 degrees Amurrkin out and rainy with a predicted high of 75 and scattered tstorms. It probably will be a deluge of Ark-like proportions about ten this mornin’ cause that’s when I get to drive down to large and in charge Pelham, Jawja to visit the senior center there and then make a couple house calls in the wilds of greater Mitchell County. When I say wilds I mean wilds. Folks tend to live on literal pig trails down there.
I got productive after my last post. I chunked up a small poke roast, cut bell peppers into strips and peeled and cut up sweet N.O.T. for tonight’s dindin of curried poke with sweet N.O.T. which I think is in the blog.
Hi Nashii! Come play some more.
Brick my folks had a cat who thought she was a dog. She literally followed my dad around like a dog. He even named her “Puppy Cat.”
shortdrum havin’ a good guffaw over irony is never a bad thing.
Now I go to seek more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Up, caffeinated, off to irk on a cool rainy day.
That’s not a cat, that’s a zoo.
LOL!!! That made me laugh!
Good morning, my darling Mumpers!!
After **FCD **left for work in the dark before dawn, I managed to doze back off for the better part of 2.5 hours, so I’m feeling pretty good. I just ingested the last of the 'nanner bread - thank goodness for the microwave, or it would have been inedibly dry.
After class, I have some pansies to plant in the flower boxes on the porch, plus these papers on the desk need to be sorted and dealt with. I know a couple of them are bills that are due. Beyond that, I just need to decide what to defrost for supper. It’s overcast and we’re promised rain tonight and tomorrow, and possibly into Thursday. Sorry for the soggy welcome, gt…
Taz has become dog-like. If **FCD **is having a snack while watching TV, both Taz and Scruffy sit and stare at him hungrily. Taz will go so far as to yell at him if he’s feeling ignored. It’s a hoot. And if I’m in the kitchen doing anything at a counter, both of them are at my feet, expecting tidbits to nosh upon. Did I ever mention that the guy we got Taz from had named him Dog because he acted like one?
Anyway, Happy Tooooooooozdi!
Blurf.
Seconded!
mr ems was up before 4 AM this morning and out the door before 5. I could not get back to sleep. Today will be a long day methinks.
PT was good yesterday and today I got myself up and dressed and drove to Starbucks and got a quad shot venti latte to try and combat the blurfies. It is sooooo nice to able to drive again. I might try going into the office tomorrow.
Brick good luck with the avoidance of traffic today
Mor… uhh… afternoon all!
Just 'cos I’m still in pyjamas doesn’t make it morning
I’m goin’ out this eve, decided I couldn’t be bothered to put on proper grown up clothes for a few hours, just to get changed later… Surely that’s half the point of being unemployed?
Had a great conversation last night at juggling club:
Guy there: Been up to much lately?
Me: Went up to see my parents last week, saw their new cat.
Him: Aww, is it a kitten or a full grown cat?
Me: It’s a leopard.
Him: blink
Me: A snow leopard.
Him: Wha??
Never mentioned that me mam and dad own a zoo before
I’m afraid I might have to break forum rules though; I forgot my camera, and don’t yet have photos of kitteh.
I’m s’posed to be finishing my CV (resume if you prefer) and applying for sucky jobs I don’t really want just 'cos I can’t do the sort of stuff I prefer until my back’s better. Does seem to be improving the last few days fingers, arms, knees, eyes and ears crossed so I’m hoping that’ll be carrying on.
Have a tuesday of awesome!
Pearl, a nit to pick. The proper Southernism is y’all, not ya’ll. Also, the proper pronunciation of the nut is PEE-can, not puh-CAHN.
Stick around here long enough, and Swampy and I will have you speaking Southern in no time.
Yes, I know, I fixed it. Forgive me, I speak the Appalachian Regional dialect
Finally managed to talk to errant solicitor woman today, signed my bits of paper and bunged them back in the post to her. Hopefully that will see everything sorted out and my cheque will be in the post. Or in the bank.
After that, and a enough cups of tea to make sure I was properly focused for the day, I went into town and bought a new mop. Y’see, 'im indoors managed to break the mophead on our other one but since we’ve had it a while and things have moved on, the manufacturers don’t make that type of mophead any more so we are left with a duff bit of cleaning equipment.
So I went off in search of a replacement, found one and bought it along with a couple of spare mopheads so it should keep me going for a while.
Oh, the excitement you get in your life when you’re unemployed…
Double blurf. I had computer training (for irk) last night from 5-9 which means I didn’t get home til almost 10 so not in bed til 11 and I was up at 5:30 this morning. I am a minimum 8 hours o’ sleep (spleeb) kinda gal so I is tahrd this morning. I expect to be rather crabby today. Maybe even king crabby legs. Which wouldn’t be bad with some melted butter.
Off to meet with the Fire Marshals…
Aw, man.
I just found out that my cousin has just been diagnosed Stage 4 liver cancer. Right when he was getting his life together. And his birthday is next week.
I’m sad. I think I’ll drive out there (San Angelo) and say goodbye.
