Because the lady asked, A MMP

w00t!

Sheesh. I’ll be going to the hospital with my sweetie for the 3rd time so he can get a shot in his back - it takes longer than that and he’ll probably go back to work afterwards. And she seemed so normal when I met her…

Hey! I’m on there! I didn’t think I had been around long enough. I feel so special!

On break during Spanish class. We just had a 10 minute sidetrack. We were reading a passage about stray animals and my professor ended up telling us all about bull fighting in Spain.

Only 5 of us are here tonight. That’s only half the class. I wonder if the other half think we got 2 days off for Columbus Day.

I am so queasy. I really appreciate my mom and step dad bringing my butt to school every Tuesday but I hate the way he drives and they keep it too warm in the car. I get nauseus every time I ride in their car and it takes hours to pass. Blech.

Wow, look at that! Our very own sticky! Thanks for taking the time to do that, Pearl.

I’m very sorry about your cousin, rebo.

Nice work, as always**, FCM.**

I’m still pretty much dead in the water at work. Ugh, so frustrating. The work is piling up and there isn’t a damn thing I can do about it.

We’re having leftover pot roast for dinner tonight. There’s a method to my madness. I made enough to ensure there were leftovers.

Hospital? If you weren’t so far off, I’d suggest getting in with my neurosurgeon’s office. They do epidurals in-office, without all the falderal and bureaucratic slowness of a hospital. In and out in about half an hour.

I now personally know someone who’s been on Jeopardy! The guy in the screaming red shirt tonight normally wears green. Unfortunately, that Joon is freakishly fast on the buzzer.

You’re a good cousin to do that. It’s not easy to deal with that kind of news-- my mom went into complete denial about her recovery chances until the very end. {{{Rebo}}}

The New Guy has a name: Chumley. It’s the name off the list he responded to best, and my least favorite name out of all of them. However, he’s cute and answers to “Chum-Chums”, so it’s okay. He’s currently sleeping on his back in the “good dog” bed.

This is a lady bits complaint:

I am monsooning, and it really sucks. What’s worse is I’ve gotta go in to the lady doctor and get more testing done because an initial test they did back in May apparently had more results than they thought it did. Why wait until yesterday to tell me? Next week I will go for a spelunking, and hope it’ll be nothing major.

Sorry about your cousin, Rebo. That’s so sad. :frowning:

Yay for the sticky! Thanks for putting it together, Pearl.

I’ve bought everything I need, I think and am finishing laundry.

Need to finish off some plans, but I think I’m pretty close to being ready to pack.

I’m so ready to be on vacation!

Hugs all.

Shiny new FAQ is shiny! w00t!

Feel better soonest, Nashii. Welcome back!
Thanks, everybody. I’m leaving early Thursday morning. I found a bunch of pictures of him in my stash, along with pics of him and my sister. They were taken in 1971. They were very close way back when - I was the “little sister.” (My sister passed on over 20 years ago.) I think he’ll enjoy seeing them.

Hugs for all of y’all. Now go hug someone you love as soon as you can.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk. Hockey tonight.

Good job, Pearl!

**gotti **- I wish it could be done in the office, but none of his 3 different surgeons did that. Oh well. And I personally know someone who was on Jeopardy also - my mom… back in the Art Fleming days when the show was on around noon. She was ahead till Final Jeopardy and blew it then. Her take was $600 and a set of encyclopedias (which she donated to a school since we had a set of Brittanicas) - $600 was a lot of money in the early 70s.

Yay for the sticky, Pearl!!

It’s drizzly here. I’m not sure what I’m going to do today. The kitchen floor could probably stand to be washed - that might kill 15 minutes. I dunno - I’ll find something to fill my time.

Thanks, everyone for the nice pottery comments. Hey, maybe I’ll play in clay for a while today!

Happy Wednesday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 75. It’s still rainyish, as in drizzly out, but it’s supposed to go away by daybreak and mayhaps return for a bit tomorrow. Hopefully that will be the case as I have to go forth into the wilds of Baker County, Jawja this mornin’. There is literally nuttin’ in Baker County but pig trails. This afternoon I get to sit through an hour and a half webinar (I hate that word!) on changes to Medicare for 2012 or some such nonsense. Rah.

Nice sticky Pearl!

Now I shall seek more caffiene and feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Le Sigh.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Have a safe trip, Rebo. Neat that you found those pictures.

Hope you’re feeling better this morning, Nashii.

Up and ready to finish packing. Flight leaves at 11:00 or so. So ready to be on vacation!

Hugs.

I got up at 7, which is sleeping in, and I’s still blurfy.

Have to be at the horsepistol at 1000 for VWife’s noon showtime. Yee and haw.

Good morning!

I just realized I haven’t picked the meat off the roast chicken I bought - so chicken and dumplings is on the menu tonight.

I’m so silly - I’m worried that the guys won’t eat well while I’m gone, even though they are both very capable of feeding themselves. I was going on and on to my husband about what we have in the house to eat. He finally patted my hand and said he’s got it covered. I’m such a mother hen!

Have a good day, Mumpers!

I use roasted butternut squashes in all the recipes that claim to want pumpkin… I think it’s an amazing improvement. Especially for Pie!

Wood IMNSHO the only thing that is worse than pumpkin would be [del]fart blossoms[/del] brussels sprouts. Double ICK!!!

This post brought to you from irk.

Just for you, Swampy. Recipe. And here.

oddly enough, I think Brussels Snouts (our family are Pig Fans) are amazingly OM NOM NOM…
Swampy, I’ll gladly save you from them! and roast them with salt and balsamic vinegar.

Horrible horrible horrible day. We had to put my devoted, wonderful, amazing, feisty, loving wonderhorse Echo to sleep this morning and I couldn’t be there and I am heartbroken. My sister has taken care of him since I have been in the US and she and my Dad were with him (he is back in the UK) as was our amazing vet who has known him for 20 years.

He was 29 and I was there when he was born. He had a wonderful life, we had some amazing adventures and he got to live out his retirement as a happy, spoled, coddled, pampered pet. I am a mess today.

:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:frowning:

Good luck for surgeries and needles and procedures.
