This year has more excellent songs than the previous two or three years. I picked seven: Beds are Burning, New Sensation, I Don’t Want to Go On with You Like That, Fast Car, Monkey, It Would Take a Strong Strong Man, Look Away.

I wasn’t a fan of George Michael in his heyday but in retrospect, he had a few good songs. I’ve really liked Kissing A Fool from the start, however.

And I didn’t know what to make of Pump Up The Volume in 1988 but I’m quite fond of it now along with a couple of other “dance” songs with a similar vibe from that time.
