I wouldn’t say that she is a totally false persona, per se. Like you, I see some authenticity in her. But I think she does more than just embellish. I think some of the things that have allegedly happened to her are stretched way, way, way beyond credible.
Isn’t there some kind of personality disorder that includes pathological lying?

Yep, the Cluster B disorders. Some of our “best” posters fall into this continuum.
I’m glad I don’t have to feel bad for ignoring her now. I bought the mobster dad. I thought she was an idiot re: the chlamydic boyfriend, but I made extra super carefully sure not to call her an idiot (even though I was thinking it loudly).
I never read about the teaching or donation-soliciting until now, and that’s enough for me to call it a day. No more, CitizenPained. You’re either the most helpless, unlucky, tragic character in the history of the world, or a figment of your own imagination. Either way, it’s not my problem anymore.

I think she’s made the mistake that a lot of people make when they start coming here. Posting TMI about yourself. There are some people who post TMI and there are some people who lap up TMI. The two feed each other. Sometimes its unhealthy, but sometimes it helps those who are lonely. And I think CitizenPained is very lonely.
I think she’s real. I don’t think she has lied. I think she’s awfully young for her age, which means she may post without getting the facts right. And sometimes she doesn’t argue very well and tries to save face instead of admitting she’s wrong. But those are signs of immaturity rather than real maliciousness. And yeah, I find the “voice” she gives her students to be a little precious, but I think they are real.
Sometimes she’s righteous and sometimes she’s not. Just like most posters, except in a more dramatic way. If she were more consistent that would actually make me more suspicious. People who are playing a role tend to stick to it.

They prove that the gays are reprobates. I think. I got a little confused, what with trying to figure out other kinds of chaps. Like old chaps, and dear chaps, but not deer chaps. That’s cruel.
All chaps are assless. Chaps are a leg covering. If she had said a bunch of guys parading around in public with their asses hanging out makes them look stupid, then she might have had a point.

More or less. As far as I can tell there should be no gay pride events because it upsets the homophobes and then they’ll never allow same-sex marriage.

Also, gay pride parades are insufficiently child friendly.
I remember getting beads and walking down the gay pride parade as a 7 year old chanting, “We’re here, we’re queer, get used to it!” Very family friendly IMO.
I recall attending gay pride parades in San Diego Hillcrest every year with my little daughter, and alot of children were there along the parade route with their parents. It was so much fun, and we all joined up at the park afterward for food and music. I agree that it was family friendly.
