Favorite pop tart flavor and/or method of eating it

Agree. They were better than they sound like they would be.

Hands down it’s brown sugar cinnamon. Chocolate varieties tie for a distant second. Those faux froot varieties are an abomination that ought to be banned by the FDA. Makes me gag just thinking about them.

Iced, blueberry, not heated.

Thanks to advice from Periwinkle, Wesley Clark, and Beckdawreck, I am now the proud owner of a 6-pack of Cherry Toaster Strudels, direct from the freezer case.

Due to culinary excesses related to Thanksgiving, I didn’t try one until this evening. Boy, are they tasty! They really put Pop Tarts to shame, and I like Pop Tarts.

You are on a slippery slope, my friend. Do you have someone you can call 24/7 if you are tempted to consume the entire 6-pack in one sitting? With ice cream?

Captains of industry. world leaders, famous artists and writers, military commanders–all brought down by the insidious, charismatic, magical toaster strudel. Yes, it promises bliss… but what does it deliver? Well… um… bliss! That’s the problem. Establish boundaries now or you may find yourself on Strudel Row, strudeled out with the other toaster junkies, living–if you can call it that–from one strudel to the next.

Sadly strudel addiction has even spread to the nation’s young. My 2 year old granddaughter answers “toaster strudel” any time she is asked what she wants to eat. Day, night, evening, noon, it doesn’t matter. The strudel monkey is firmly on her tiny back. Where are the parents, you ask? Furtively consuming their own strudels in the corner.

For a slightly different take, move over a freezer door or two and grab the Egg, Cheese and Bacon strudel. A quick trip through the toaster oven, and nirvana awaits!

Next time I’m at Target, I’ll look for them, based on the link you posted.

The best non-Pop Tarts I ever had were a gluten-free brand I got at a natural food store, and that was before the GF craze struck. (This is not intended as a jab at people who really do need to eat that way.)

I’ve seen grape Pop-Tarts at my local grocery store recently. Didn’t buy them, though. Maybe I should?

I don’t like any of the frosted flavors.

I like Brown Sugar Cinnamon and Strawberry.

Pop tarts are one of the few food items that I will not buy the generic brand. They are awful.

They brought the Chocolate Vanilla-Creme back again because I just bought a box! It’s also marked limited edition, maybe I better check the expiration date! They’re my favorite… you’re right, the Cookies and Creme are not the same. I don’t toast mine, straight from the package is best.

Several years ago one of my co-workers brought in a box of Bacon Pop-Tarts. I loved them, everyone else thought they were disgusting. Anyone here try them?

Brown Sugar Cinnamon, toasted. Then I eat the fillingless border all around the outside so I can just revel in the awesomeness of the frosted, filled middle. Sort of like eating veggies before dessert.

Cherry frosted. I used to be bribed by students with boxes of these.

I prefer toasted, but I’ll eat them untoasted quite happily.
