ems, nice house and nice dresses. Um, I can’t believe they let you inspect the house with all that stuff lying around. Hmmm…
Also, I guess it’s too late now, but I wouldn’t have closed without negotiating the required repairs with the former owners. I learned this lesson the hard way with the first house I bought.
nashi, nice house! Before you know it, four years will have gone by and you still won’t have all the needed artwork up. Just like some people I know, namely me. I’m still looking for the “perfect” pictures. I am overly picky, I think.
TPlay, I’m sorry to hear of the latest. Still keeping you and the wife in my thoughts.
Li-li, I was glad to read that you’re feeling slightly better. I hate puking.
I had a bad headache yesterday, but dragged myself into work. Then I came home and vegged. I couldn’t even concentrate on watching TV. I feel much better today though. My tummy is still on fire, though.
On the office drama thing: You know what? I’m just pissed now. If that particular person wants to be that way, fine. Two more weeks and I’m outta there anyway. Fuck it. I’m still pleasant, polite, and warm. If she can’t buck up and be an adult, that’s her problem, not mine. I’m not going to let it bother me anymore. If she doesn’t like my new attitude, she can go fuck a duck.
This weekend’s plans call for boating and wakeboarding on Saturday. Sunday, we’re going to a neighbor’s house. I’m hoping to get some relaxation in there somewhere. Also, I’m sure we’ll be throwing something on the grill. We grill A LOT. I may try and find some copper river salmon too. It’s been here about a week or so now, so the prices should be down a little.
I also hope to get in some yardwork, my backyard is still in severe need of serious work. I’m sorry write of my favorite tree’s demise. It was the most expensive tree we bought when we moved in here. It was a coral bark maple, and I just loved that tree. It had striking bright red bark in the winter and spring. Additionally, when the leaves first opened in spring they were a bright, almost flourescent lime green. The stark contrast between the two colors was really cool. Now, I’ll have to dig the tree out.
Swampy, I hope your perfect job comes up soon. Sounds like today’s interview went well.
My poor dog wasn’t feeling well today. This morning, we woke up to three big piles of dog puke by the sliding glass door. When I came home this evening, there was a huge puddle of bile and water by the slider. Poor thing, he tries to make it outside. Too bad he can’t open the door. He seems better now, but I’ll keep an eye on him.
My daughter took two AP exams today. One for Psychology and the other for English. Poor kid. The first exam started at 7:00 a.m. She didn’t get out until 4:00 pm. She looked positively worn out at the dinner table. I’ll have to remember to call her silly school. They called with a recorded message around 5:30 pm to tell us that she had been absent. Uh, no doofuses…she was taking the AP exams! She had to register and pay for it and everything. So, she should have been on the list. What morons. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that school is one of the top high schools in the state and nation.
SCL, I hope you and the hubby find some employment soon. That’s got to be a huge worry.
I guess I’ve blathered on long enough. Catch you later.
