Damn looks like my post got eaten. Lets try this again.
The original plan was a good one. No hiatus. A first half story arc with a finale. Then Origins. Then the second half. The network, producers and Nielson agreed with you, the hiatus sucked and lost some of the audience. Their only other choice would have been to delay the beginning of the season like Lost is doing. It was a good plan shot to hell by the strike. I just wasn’t sure how many episodes are in the can and if there is a new plan in effect.
Sorry, I have to hijack–
It is spelled villain, not villian…
Carry on.
Who’s Tim Sale? Why should I believe him? (Not being a smart ass - I really don’t know)
Why would that be significant enough to be in a numbered series of 8 paintings? It doesn’t seem important enough compared to the other ones.
Ok, so the two paintings left are Mohinder holding a smoking gun, and Noah shot through the eye.
How come people assume that those two paintings go together? Isn’t it possible that Mohinder shoots someone else? Like Bob, or some other person? And then sometime later someone completely different shoots Noah?
Me.
Seriously, Tim Sale is the guy who really does the paintings.
Agreed. I suspect it’s Niki in quarantine.
I have no idea to the number of episodes are in the can I just hope it is enough to make it to the first half’s finale and the hiatus. It would really suck if they have everything done except the last episode of the first hal’s finale.
Also I really like the idea of the painting being Niki in quarintine.
All the paintings don’t have to depict significant events, in the series about Claires death one was simply Hiro and Ando standing around.
Hehe, “Ipod shuffle”.
But that was one of dozens from Isaac - not one of a numbered series of 8 that were vital enough for Ivan to hide and Noah to kill for.
You know, most of Isaac’s paintings are useless for actually predicting the future. Like any good oracle, you can only determine what they’re supposed to show after the fact.
How the fuck should I know? All I’m saying is, if you look at the scene a the point in the episode I described, it exactly matches the scene in the painting. There’s a yellowish backlight as Niki smacks the door, and some kind of wall with a corrugated surface visible behind her.
No reason at all to think it’s anything else.
Last week’s thread had a link to the new item that, due to declining ratings (they’ve been plummeting all season, apparently, although I don’t know about last night), or possibly fears of the strike, Origins, which was still in the planning stages, has more or less been shitcanned.
That article said specifically that the hold was put on because of the potential strike, not because of ratings.
Whoa - easy there. Just curious.
Other than speculation that the writers are being coy with the significance of the paintings, like when they showed the “other” cheerleader killed by Sylar rather than Claire.
Ain’t no thang, just couldn’t decide on an appropriate smiley, so I unwisely left one off.
Hmm, point taken, but I think they’ll save that move for the painting of dead Noah. Like maybe it’s a mannequin of him or something.
Sure, the first paragraph did.
i’m beginning to think she has some kind of mental power. there’s the “REMEMBER” thing she did in the future. now by itself this could be nothing. maybe she used a power to make her son remember her, maybe she didn’t.
but there was also the time that she kicked Matt out of her head when he tried to read it to figure what was going on after Hiro’s dad took a fall. when/if she revels her power, i don’t think she’s going to turn green and hulk out.
