I looked and looked: A tentative MMP

Congrats on the job, STG! More money is always good news. And Happy Anniversary to both FCM and Taxi and their respective spouses. It’s good to see you again too, LiLi and glad to hear that Tom Kitten is doing better. He is so very cute, btw.

We had mushroom-beef-barley stew for dinner and it was so good; cooked in the crock pot, so the apartment also smelled delicious. In other news, I sure am glad that it’s now Firday and am also quite ready for the weekend. Next Wednesday is our holiday party - a luncheon - at work, and I’m going to bake some cookies for it over the weekend.

Enjoy all - and take it easy.

Hey, all. It’s been a while. Don’t know if I’ll stay this time, but I might. I’m done with college (though my GPA blows) and I have no job as yet, so I’ve got plenty of time for two different boards.

Hi CC!

LOL

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN I don’t need to go in ‘til around nine this mornin’, so I’m bein’ leisurely with caffienation. I do get to go on a couple of home visits and figure out some paper work stuff, so fun day ahead.

Howdy Cap’n! Do stick around a while.

For the first time in a while this is actually a Firday that means sump’n to me. As in the end of a work week, albeit a short one. OYKW sad puppy dawg eyed me and asked if we could have brekkies for dindin, so dindin shall be link sausages, scrambled aigs and pancakes. Sad puppy dawg eyes gets me every time.

Ok, time for more caffiene and to consider sump’n to feed rumbly tummy.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Up. caffeinated, off to irk.

Welcome back Cap’n!

Welcome back, Sgt. BunnyFarts

Blurf.

Mrs. Fred has been transferred to the[del] Warehouse for the Elderly and Chronically Ill[/del]Cottonfield County Nursing Home. She continues to worsen, but I won’t dare say that to Fred.

It’s morning. I have to pack for three days away. I am not looking forward to this vacation. Four small kids in a house with nothing they’re allowed to touch.

Trouts? I always knew there was something fishy about you.

Ahhhhh - OK - now I understand. Well, good luck and I hope the tradition doesn’t flounder.

(Someone just shoot me now - I’m in one of those moods)

Monday we’re getting together with some friends to watch that Holiday classic Santa Claus vs the Devil ------- I keep hoping some year that the Devil finally wins. We used to watch Santa Claus vs the Martians but Pia Zadora gets old even on film.

Apparently I never hit submit on my post.

Happy Firday!

I must have got distracted with **Swampy’s **mention of A Tuna Christmas. I went to Amazon and ordered both DVD’s, as well as *The Pacific *for Dad for Christmas.

I’ve never seen either one, but I heard they are a riot.

Trying to write up my yearly self-review. Why oh why do they make us do this crap? Arrgghh…

Happy belated anniversary wishes, FCM and FCD!

That sounds like torture… for the parents.

Not to second guess you bobbio (except that I suppose I am), but shouldn’t you maybe prepare Fred for the possibility that Mrs. Fred might not get better? Especially if she is actually worsening?

Messiah was good last night, but I didn’t realize how loooooooooooooong it is. While sitting in a cold cathedral on really hard pews way off to the left side so we had to crane our necks the whole time. But the music was beautiful.

My friend and I went to KT’s and my favorite restaurant - a Tibetan place - for dinner before the performance. The food is so good, but the service is really slow. We got our food after we’d been there for about 50 minutes. Ugh. We had to ask them to bring our check as soon as we got our food, gobble down a little bit, and then put the rest in boxes. At least that means I have a really yummy lunch for today! I’d never had okra before we started eating at this restaurant, and now it’s my favorite dish there. It’s a fried okra curry. So good.

Tonight’s my work holiday party. It’s at a hotel and convention center out in the exurbs that no one has heard of. But the food is supposed to be good. I don’t think I ever updated my dress search… I didn’t end up with either of the ones I linked to before. Instead I got Marilyn Monroe dress. My work friend convinced me that it looked awesome on and that I should wear it while I have the body for dresses like that. I’m a sucker for compliments like that. Now I’m starting to regret not buying a sweater dress since it’s going to be about 10 degrees outside. I have a red wrap, but even that’s not very warm. Ah, vanity.

Off to a meeting that may or may not resolve anything.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, I HATE that part. We didn’t have to do them until a couple years ago. Ugh.

Howdy Y’all. I came by da cave to grab a sammich and natch just had to post. What can I say?

taxi the MM look is always a classic. I’m sure you’ll wow 'em and all the menfolk will be extremely jealous of KeithT.

Rebo both Tunas are a riot! Those two guys playin’ all the character will make you believe each and every character they play. Amazin’!

ruble are you postin’ just for the halibut? :stuck_out_tongue:

swampy, you must have inspired a deviled egg thread!

Or at least a Hell of a roe!

Still thinking about grad school. On the one hand, I don’t have anywhere near enough money to pay for a master’s, I probably couldn’t get into any decent school with my GPA, and I’m not sure I have the stomach for a few more years of school yet. On the other hand, I want to study elections more, and ideally I’d like to do that for a living, and you can’t do that without graduate degrees. A lot of jobs that I’ve been looking at desire or require a master’s as well. For now, the reasons against will probably govern my behavior, plus the fact that I haven’t yet found a degree that really matches my inclinations.

It’s not a lot of fun for the kiddoes, either, not being allowed to touch anything. Plus we’re sort of fighting with those inlaws right now, and I’ve recently found out they don’t like me much. I am pretty tense.

I hate performance reviews. Mr. Lissar said that last year everyone on staff had to do performance reviews and personal goals for the next year. Including the janitor, who doesn’t really speak English, so explaining just the concept was really hard.

Someone tell me it’s okay not to clean the house before we go away.

LiLi I hereby absolve you of house cleaning before you go on your trip. There. So mote it be. Howzzat?

Sorry about the in-law problems. If they don’t like you then they are not nice people and so, on behalf of the whole MMP, I say we don’t like them. Take that in-laws! So There! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’s through work for the week. Now I get to make brekkie dindin for OYKW. Ok, for me too cause it does kinda sound good.

Deviled aig thread? Where!

Here.
