Good morning everyone. Happy belated anniversaries to the taxis and the Fairy Chats!
Well, yesterday was Not Good. Someone broke into our house. Fortunately, nothing was taken, but that’s only because my husband got off early and walked in on him while he was still here. The burglar escaped through the second floor laundry room and in his haste to escape left his tools and what we assume are some stolen items from somewhere else. My gate is now entirely busted too.
The bastard ransacked my entire bedroom and bathroom, along with my son’s room. I couldn’t even sleep in my room last night I was so disgusted and angry.
The important thing is no one is hurt, but I definitely feel violated and ill at ease.
A sheriff’s deputy came and took a report, along with the burglar’s stuff and my husband was able to provide a description of the burglar and his car. Unfortunately, no license plate, but when he saw both the burglar and the car, he didn’t realize who it was. I’ll go into that part of the story later.
I have to go take care of some stuff now.

So sorry about the break-in, Taters. That’s such an awful feeling.
I’m back from brunch - wonderful company, wonderful food, stolen presents (OK, we steal from each other, but still). Now I’m off into the garden since it’s warm out for now.

We have been running about all day. First to Annapolis for breakfast, then up by BWI to drop some stuff off at my sister’s house, back to Annapolis to get some fabric for a new sail cover, then home. We gathered some stuff together, then ran to the marina to winterize the boat. The sails are off, the antifreeze is dumped where needed, the dodger is down, and the bilge is open. No more boating till spring. Plus I paid the deposit on our slip for next year while we were there. So that part of our life is settled.
We’re not doing our anniv dinner tonight - **FCD **is really tired and I don’t feel like going out again. So maybe tomorrow, maybe next week. Dinner will be whatever. Crocheting will ensue. I shall chill. Life is good.

The Boys and I are eagerly awaiting the return of Snowpocalypse II. Once again, as with Snowpocalypse I, I do not have to be at work when it is at its worst. I do, however, have to be at work at the buttcrack of dawn the day before everything melts.
I severely dented Complicated Friend’s day yesterday and that fills me with unmitigated glee. I’m about to be very not-nice to him at the beginning of the year. I found out that he sent $8000 to his wife in Canada last year and yet the house is in danger of foreclosure. I do believe someone forgot that one of my BILs is a lawyer and my sisters and their husbands have very little reason to like the guy who did their baby sister wrong.
Did a vigorous garden clean-up, including putting a few plants in the ground, for about 2 1/2 hours. Also, brother got on the ladder and cleaned the gutters. Yay!
And now I’m tired and will be knitting for a while before falling asleep.

I’ve been busy today! We played musical cars with ReboSon’s car to get new tires put on it. But he had to be at a DWI class, so I picked him up and took him, while Mr Rebo took his car to Discount Tire. I’m actually very proud of ReboSon lately. He has a lot of stuff he has to pay for, and classes to attend, and community service. He’s taking care of all of it, and paying all his costs and everything. He’s being a stand-up grown-up. Which is why, when he needs help with large costs like new tires, it makes it easier to spend money on him.
After that, I took the pups to the park. Lucy is absolutely worn out! And I’m getting there.
I made fried chicken tenders and chicken legs for dinner, with mashed NOT and peas. Yum!
Worked, the went out for my friend DC’s birthday dinner. R, a friend of a friend has the same birthday as me, and one of the waiters plays hockey at the same rink as DC. Canes win, and Gordie is gnawing the Band-Aids off my fingers. Funny, I’m the second youngest person in my social circle.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. It rained last night big time. Now it’s supposed to get way cold, as in temp down to 18 Amurrkin on Tuesday! :eek: Oh well, if cold is all we get, then I’m good.
Last night was a lot of fun! We noshed, we drank, we giggled like seven year old girls at a slumber party all through Tuna Christmas. I even got da cave cleaned up along with washin’ up all the dishes etc after everyone left. Go Me!

Need more caffiene. Also rumbly tummy wants to be fed. So, I shall figure out some brekkies. I foresee cereal, milk and toast as I don’t want to cook anything. Plus purtification for deheathenization must commence some time soon.
Am up. Woke up at a silly hour (5:30?) or so, was awake for a couple of hours, then fell asleep again till 9:30. Have breakfasted and am considering what to do with the day. I need to get some work-work done and some laundry and maybe do a little bit of shopping. We’re supposed to get some more enthusiastic snow fall starting around 1:00 (it’s flurrying right now), so I guess I’ll get ready to de-heathenate and then think about what I can get done before I leave for that…
Getting ready to head out to the grocery store. We had a bit of a cool front come in last night, and it’s chilly and breezy and sunny. A perfect day to grill up some babyback ribs, eh?
Only 4 more days of work until vacation through January 3! w00t!
Weird weather - it was 52 when I took Scruffy out about 7 this morning. By noon it was 42. Now it’s raining and windy and ick. **FCD **and daughter are shopping. I’m doing laundry. I just finished wrapping my Secret Santa gift - it’ll get mailed tomorrow.
We gave daughter her Nook today so she could get it up and running and stuff before we head to FL. They’re out buying a cover for the Nook.
All deheathenated and had N.O.L.. It’s sunny, cool and windy here too Rebo. Matter of fact, like MOOOOOM it’s gone from a high of 57 Amurriin this mornin’ to 46 Amurrkin now. Good day to be inside. Matter of fact good time for a nappy poo imo. I shall also probably do some laundry and consider dindins for the week. I lurves my slow cookers for that reason. Plus there’s soup, chili and beast stew in the freezer. However, I think meatloaf may make an appearance tomorrow. I have ground beast thawin’. We shall see.
