Ignored chores in the MMP

Have you considered portable ones? That is, cushion inserts for your shoes?

Rotten kid didn’t even sleep an hour. I know he does this on purpose to torment me. Well, he’s just going to have to wait on his lunch till I have mine. That’ll show him!

That’s a bold choice Mooomm. I still remember the fits my kids my kids threw when they got hangry. :scream:

I did give him some of his baby snacks, then he snarfed down his lunch. Just got him out of the tub where he played a bit. So he’s nice and clean. Still 3 hours till we fetch his sister.

Eeep. Just got a notice from Kaiser I had a new test result. Turns out there’s apparently a problem with my EKG. I’m not a medical professional, but am fairly well informed for a civilian. I’m pretty sure the following lines are not good (C&P from Kaiser website):

“Inferior infarct , age undetermined
Anterolateral infarct , age undetermined
Abnormal ECG”
“EKG Severity:T Abnormal”

Does anyone know enough about this to be able to tell me whether I’m worrying unreasonably? @BippityBoppityBoo?

Heading to irk in half an hour. Just cooked up a nice lunch (leftovers will be waiting for me, when I drag my sorry carcass back home) but honestly, it’s hard to eat.

Because it’s hot, and imma sweatin’ like a whore in church!

… and was just thinking, I need to find a Replacement Gentleman Caller. :smiling_imp:

I swap out my shoes at my mid-shift break. That helps.

They didn’t give any details?

I’m sure someone with suitable training would understand the details in that report, but I don’t have that education.

I’m sure you’ll find an upgrade Replacement Gentleman Caller.

Workin’ on it. There aren’t that many cute guys in my (admittedly wide) age range, within my (admittedly narrow) geographic range, that don’t also look like sad potatoes.

On a side note, who turned up the sun? I am a non-fan of this heat, and brightness, and general :sun_with_face::sunny: nonsense.

Afternoon all. Kinda did things backwards today, took a nap early, then went to the gym, then had some lunch around 2pm. Soccer starts in a couple hours so that will help work off the calories I just added. Garbage has been picked up, still waiting on the recycle truck.

Seanette, sorry I can’t help on the medical stuff, googled some of the terms and best that I (a complete amateur) can tell, your heart has had better days…but a doctor should be able to tell you more and how potentially serious it might be. Nothing but good thoughts from here.

OK, need to do a couple things here and then dress for some soccer coaching/refereeing.

I slept pretty well again last night, and have felt more-or-less-normal today! And the proposal I’m helping with got an extension, so I will have less guilt about tomorrow’s planned day off. Not that there was much guilt, mind you…but just a little.

Tomorrow morning I take Bailey to her first rehab consult: time to find out exactly what’s going on with her hips, and whether there’s anything I can/should be doing to help with either her mobility or her pain. Right now she’s at doggy daycare, so she can have a nail trim and a brush-out. Gotta look good for the new docs tomorrow!

After the consult, I’m going to a big gem and jewelry expo with my BFF. She makes jewelry and sells it on Etsy, so she always likes to go and look for new beads/materials. I’ve never been to one of the expos before, but I think it will be fun. Plus, her birthday is on Monday so I’ll buy her something tomorrow…easiest birthday present evar.

Tomorrow afternoon will likely be a mixture of errands and hanging around the house, then tomorrow night is my first guest vocalist gig. I have a fancy new top to wear, and I’m looking forward to the show. Should be a really fun night.

That’s exactly what I would do inside, with drywall, but this is a metal front door and I’m trying to use the existing Command hook.

I love how test results get shared even if they make no sense (and can sound kinda scary) to lay people! Hopefully your follow-up with the doc is soon and you can get some translation…

I do have an appointment with PCP on Wednesday.

Howdy Y’all! It’s been an off and on rainy day today, so much inside sloth was accomplished along with nappage and general overall uselessness. Any need to feed has been via forage. Couldn’t even be bothered to order majik intartoobz pizza. I think this may be a new level of laziness on our part.

nettie maybe it’s not as bad as it sounds. Seems to me that if it were super serious the doc would want to see you pronto.

Short answer: infarcts suggest that at some point in the past a part of heart muscle was denied sufficient enough flow of oxygenated blood and therefore suffered damage. Goal is to change lifestyle and health so further infants (with accompanying damage) do not occur.

I would hope your doc would refer you to a cardiac rehab program to inform you about and support you in making healthy heart changes. Ask they don’t suggest it, ask them to write you a referral for cardiac rehab, then go and do your dangest to follow through.

The infarcts have happened. No going back, so don’t worry about them. Put your effort in preventing any more, so don’t worry: act and follow through.

Short answer re T wave is more complicated but basically it most likely is real-time representing that ischemic (oxygen deprived) infarct damage showing up in those two places identified. It is happening now and will continue to happen, so here is where to worry. Follow through with your doctor appts and testing to see if compensation can be made through interventions like medications or physical conditioning to bring that EKG into a more normal configuration, changing the T wave. Tinkering with meds may need to happen. Be scrupulous about following through with meds, etc and keep all appts. Depending on your doc they may refer you to a cardiologist for this ‘tinkering’ and then take you back after things are on an even keel. Goal: keep appts, take the meds, follow through with all rehab and further appts.

Guess these weren’t such short answers. Keep appts, follow suggestions, do the rehab. We’ll be here for you all the way, promise :purple_heart::blue_heart::green_heart::anatomical_heart:.

Personally, I’d be asking about and looking for a local support group to be part of, I find that makes changes easier. A cardiology office or the local chapter of the American Heart Association should be able to point you towards a support. Your husband may enjoy belonging to a caregivers group to help support you in needed changes.

Here’s some good info:

And some specific info re T waves-technical and geared to medical professionals do don’t hurt your head!

Should be fine to wait til that appt next week. Just be mindful if you are having symptoms and should be hieing your cute butt off to the ER. If something needed to happen RIGHT NOW! you would have been chased down and brought in.

Remember that in women, cardiac symptoms can be more subtle and not necessarily the classic ones we think of. That first website has good info about what to watch for and when to take action.

doggio I like your compatriots with the brown shirts much more that the other guys. Fedex has successfully failed to deliver a package to me for 3 days. Flat out lies on the “track your package” site. Like saying a delivery attempt was made, but no-one was there, when I was there and looking out the damn window waiting for them. Time stamps wrong. F’n BS.

I’m rather put out.

I have that problem with FedEcchs in this area. I’ve resorted to their Facebook page to get some response.

I know this is a serious subject, but this auto-correct made me laugh out loud.

Nettie, I wish you all the best. Boo’s advice sounds very good to me. The past is over. Do whatever your docs tell you to do to keep your future as healthy as possible.

if it’s Elkhart IN I’ve been there a few times … the train might be the most exciting thing to happen today lol

Thank god that today was better than yesterday… aunt and her gentleman caller got in a snit and aunt was on a warpath and I was ready to scalp a squaw …

shady, yep, Elkhart, Indiana, it’s a fairly busy spot with a railyard a couple miles away and the cameras at the AMtrak station.

BBBoo, interesting information, much thanks.

Oopsie, sounds like a mixed bag for the next couple of days. Hope you knock’em dead at your gig.

OK, Chee-burger has been consumed, so stomach has been satisfied for now. Everyone take care.

Drive by from Indiana , but about 45 minutes from Elkhart!

Read all, remembered some.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Less FUBAR sort than the last few. Today’s interesting fallout was Government notebooks. So if Taters was expecting some green 7530-00-222-3521 notebooks, they will be delayed.

May be a bit, I gotta see what vacation slot I get next year. Dunno if Gordie would come, he’s 16, and not in the best of shape. Pity, he loves cats. Sometimes in an inappropriate manner.

{{{{nettie}}}} And listen to Nurse Boo.

: waves :

I’m a bad Mumper.

Read every day, sent silent hugs and good vibes to those who need them, had a cute-gasm over adorable kitty pics!

I’d have liked to have gotten a pic of the “kitty” around my place: A huge cougar who occasionally stalks through my trees or down the driveway. It’s obvious I’m on his circuit. No more midnight strolls down the pasture by moonlight for awhile.

Nettie, I hope you get some good news soon. Scary stuff you’re facing, but swampbear makes a good point that your doc would have got you in tout de suite if circumstances warranted such concern. Keep hold of that thought! BooFae gives excellent advice.

Sunny, I’m glad you’re getting your procedure repeated to patch the leak, even if you had wanted to put it off. Best wishes with that and I so hope it “takes” this time.

Nice work on the office painting, FCM! It’s really pretty. I hope your days are filled with more chillage and fewer chores.

Ok, now I’ll go hide out in doggio’s handbasket and clean whatever that gunk is out of the corners. Without looking too close, I think. Maybe scare up a wee glass of scotch while I’m at it.

More over the weekend if I can. Friends are hosting an ice cream social on Sunday, forecast for 90F-ish. I’ll enjoy sitting there I’m sure, melting into my ice cream (which will also be melted, no doubt) and swatting away the flying stinging things. Ugh.

At least I ignored chores as instructed.
