Several pages of clarification and bullshit later, the Overwrought complain the J’s have changed their position by clarifying it.
The original poster apologizes for taking things out of context and out of proportion.
The beatings switch to “Yeah, we were wrong, but Joe’s intemperate language was awful and Un-Christian!”
Joe sees the rightness and just cause of such beatings, and his morale improves.
Ok, maybe not that last one.
The J’s end up looking honest, smart and irascible. Everyone else ends up looking like hypocritical and hypersensitive defenders of their social clique.
Hopefully, they’ll make this a sticky and we can all save time.

Just last week I was trying to talk my parents into putting enough money in their will so that I could buy a ranch when they pass on. Being from Kansas, I’m pretty sure it’s easy to get ahold of various farm animals - cows and goats and cats and such. If I wanted to grow some crops, it’ll also help that I live in Indiana.

It was a very regrettable comment, but I still believe that JD was at least trying a little bit to understand the situation, whereas all JC did was come in guns blazing and upset everyone.
