Can anyone join the “watch” thread?
Strategic question: would it have been better if IRConfused had made a stronger push to lynch Mahaloth on Day 2, or would the risk of outing himself as the Cop have been too great? For experienced players: if you’re the Cop, and you catch scum on Night 1, how do you play it?
Yes, UNLESS you are actively playing the Game that is being watched. Nonparticipants and dead players area both allowed.
That’s the real trick, isn’t it? Like avoiding Imperial entanglements.
Let’s look at it this way. A cop is worth at a minimum 1 townie, because they’re town. Because they’re unique among the town(in most games), they have a bigger value. I’d argue they’re more valuable than a single wolf. I think their value goes up the larger the game gets. In large games they have two functions, 1 - find wolves, 2 - create a known good townie bloc. In large games the second function is arguably more important.
In a six-seven player game I’d trade a cop for a wolf pretty much 1-1. In a 15-20 player game it’s tougher, depends on if we have masons or not. Without masons, probably 1 wolf and 2 townies(3 if you count the cop themselves). That’s what happened here although it wasn’t a wolf the town didn’t know about yet. A confirmed bloc is very powerful and puts a lot of pressure on the remaining wolves to work together to direct a mislynch, and that makes them easier to find. Without masons I’d probably try to have a wolf and three confirmed townies(4 if you count the cop). So IRConfused did it pretty much like I would, although I would probably have waited one more night and would have claimed earlier in the day so we could have the time to put the non-confirmed townies under the third degree treatment for the rest of the day instead of getting a sloppy last-minute lynch.

Awesome. Very glad about the scum kill and exactly what I would have advised if alive.
There was no way they could leave me alive. I don’t think anyone thought that I had made a false claim. I did consider waiting one more day to get another investigation in, but I think it would have been harder to convince people that I was for real.
So, anyone want to discuss the merits of an active Cop vs. a lurking Cop?
At last! Someone agrees with me. Hooker must be the alpha wolf. If they lynch non-alpha Suburban toDay, leaving the alpha alive, the cop results are pretty much thrown out the window. That’s a big advantage for the remaining alpha wolf, and worth the bus imo.
I had Hooker actually typed into my PM for my 3rd investigation but changed it at the last second.
I’ve found that it’s actually a fairly common event. Players spend their Night re-reading and analyzing, so its a natural follow-up to go ahead a prepare a detailed post for Daybreak. Of course if the target of your post dies during the night you’re back to square one, but that’s the risk you take.
So the question has been raised about what went wrong on the last lynch. I have to say that it was **Biotop **that enabled it. He is complaining that Suburban Plankton did not get lynched but he could have made sure of it by not going off and voting Octarine. That gave Suburban Plankton the out he needed to get the rest of us onboard against someone else.
My guess is the last two wolves are **Biotop ** and Suburban Plankton.
If anyone would like to be spoiled or even ask if their guesses are correct, please feel free to pm me and I’ll answer your questions. I know who scum are, obviously. Anything else, I’m in the dark on.

One of Hooker and Biotop (I say Biotop) is scum. I’m certain of that. I still like Dante as the second scum, but I’ll admit I haven’t been following the game very closely since my demise. I would not be surprised to see SP flip scum.
So… no one suspects DeadCat?
On the fence about DC , Subub and bio ping me more. I lean a little more town on Dante although that’s based on my theory of who killed me.
I am looking for the voting record analysis to see who represents the votes most disingenuously. By this point the voting record should give some ideas , be interesting to see who comes up with what .

I’d think **Biotop **would vote Hooker, if only to get some kind of reaction. Many of the Days votes seem to have stayed on an early candidate, stagnating discussion. Very few votes have gone contrary to popular opinion. I don’t think it’s a good sign for everyone to agree so much as they have this game.
