I’ve added all of the chicken pot pie recipes to the blog. swampy’s was already out there. Twice, I think. I’ve made one that uses a Bisquick topping - very similar to taxi and swampy’s. For some reason, I feel like making chicken pot pie. For the moment, I’m having Cheerios with blueberries, instead.
I was afraid that might be the reason you were talking about the weekend on Tuesday, gotti. Boo.
Glad the job is going well, Shadow. We knew you could do it!
Sorry things are going so crappy, Taters. Hope tomorrow is better.
One of our vendors had a major outage this afternoon, so I lost 3 hours or so doing crisis management. I had so many plans for those 3 hours, too.
Glad the surgery went well, Nava. Kidlet can make me a pizza at any time.
Interesting concept, taxi (the taco/stuffed cabbage combo). It might actually work.
I need to try that quick and dirty chicken pot pie–it sounds right at my energy level.
Hope all are well. Congrats on getting all determined, Dotster–one calorie at a time.
I am home from a busy, busy day at the library. I really do love it there. I wish I could go back tomorrow–it’s like I finally get through the stuff and start some momentum and it’s time to go home, only to do it all again Friday. I am making progress, but it’s slow.
And let us not forget I have to be a nurse tomorrow.
Gah–I hear you, GT, on the lost hours. I can get so busy putting out brush fires, and yet there is still the farm to run (or something like that).
Thanks for the sympathy, y’all. Today was a little harder than yesterday because I kept looking for Peter in all his usual places. I can’t have anything dark crumpled up on the bed right now because it looks like him curled up.
Boyfriend and The Guy Who Introduced Us officially rock for helping me bury Peter yesterday. We found a nice place in a wooded area behind the apartment between two trees. There are three smallish boulders over the grave to keep anyone/thing from digging him up. This is bear/bobcat/raccoon/dog/crazy person territory. I’ll get another cat eventually, but not now.
Bobbye Froggye is doing fine. It’s great to have a low-maintenance pet.
Gah. I barely made it through class and came home and went straight to bed. Slept about five hours and now I feel better. I’m waiting for it to be time for the floor meeting then I dunno. I should work on homework but I’m not feeling it.
Thanks for the pot pie recipes, folks…I was thinking along the right lines, and I will be trying them out at some point, when I’ve amassed enough Fat Club naughty points to allow for pastry! The unstuffed cabbage sounds good too, I might have a stab at that tonight as I have some cabbage lurking in the fridge that needs to be used up.
Last night was fun, we went to the pub with friends but it was a late night and I am tired today. I am hoping for a very quiet day, I have nothing in particular to do tonight so that means I can go home and veg.
morning all! Up and caffeinating. I see the opthamologist tomorrow (Firday) at 10 AM to discuss and set up the cataract surgery. It seems I’ll have a great deal of vision improvement, so all sounds good. Thanks for the support and good words, all; they are -greatly- appreciated!
SpecialOne. great pics of the Purim Carnival; you look good, buddy. And yum on all the recipes floating around - it’s so good we have that mumpers recipes site and thanks especially to GT for keeping up with everything. I definitely need to try the chicken pot pie ones out - that’s a favorite of mine.
Just one more day after today, woo hoo! And the winter storm is going to hit further to the north; we appear to have been spared. Winter weather, that is - it looks like we may get gusty winds.
I really feel like giving you the cite you’re asking for – which would require quite a bit of brain bleach later – but I’m going to stop short of uploading pictures of people not including me to Flickr… so, sorry!
noonie, I hope you don’t mind but you are more of teh kee-ute type tennis player than assassin. Course maybe that’s what you want us to think…
taters, congrats on the daughter doing so well!
rosie, I am sorry that you are getting hit with the evil white stuff yet again.
S&S, how about “honeybun” then???
Daughter picked out a Pembroke Corgi puppy last night. She’s being vetted today. I’m going to try to videotape her later. If it works out, I’ll post a link.
Soooooooo, if we layer our cabbage and meat mixture, isn’t that Cabanza???
