Dindin was forage for yourself. I made myself a kinda chef sallit as in it did have meat and cheese and lettuce. I boiled some aigs as we like 'em for snackage and I wanted boiled aig for my sallit. OYKW had a toasted bagel with a schmeer and a bowl of cereal with milk and a nanner. I feel like I could go to bed right now but need to hold off for a while or else I’ll be wide awake at some unogly hour such as four a.m.
doggio, did your power come on before the beer got warm?
rockin’, I think I would be tempted to sleep on the sofa if I were in your shoe.
I stripped the bed linens and washed them, bought groceries and fixed supper (southwest black eyed peas, turnip greens and corn muffins) today. It was the first time that I’ve used the oven since it was repaired. It heats up fine and is right on the money with the oven thermometer.
The power at home came back as I was pulling in to work. The power at work is still out. But I have cold beer and 2 extra multi packs of TP, so who really cares.
Spidey ,cool jersey. And cooler beer. ;D
And since I have power, dinner is blue torlilla crusted chicken with ancho rice and corn with jalapenos and lime.
The block wore off and I am HURTING! I just took another Percocet, so I should be feeling better shortly.
Airman made an awesome dinner of Italian sausage with shells and sauce, coated with Parmesan cheese with a side of garlic bread. Tomorrow’s breakfast will be double chocolate Eggo waffles, because he’s going to Pittsburgh and I’m going to camp out on my friend Sandy’s sofa tomorrow. Sandy is also awesome. When you’re on dope, the whole world is awesome.
Got sideswiped/rear ended today. I signaled well in advance that I was turning, but I guess this asshole either didn’t notice or I wasn’t turning fast enough. I was too flustered to jot down his licence number, not that I had anything to wrote with on hand. I thought of chasing him down but this fucker was clearly aggro
I’m fine, thanks for asking; just got a scuffed-up bumper as a memento. Which does feel like I’m making a mountain of a molehill as I write it. But it did feel intense, not to mention the way he laid on the horn like I did someone wrong make my piss boil just thinking about it.
Assorted yays, boos and hopes that everyone’s avoiding weather disasters (such as beer that is not supposed to be warm being warm: we only drink ale warm, we ain’t stoopit).
New job is going OK, it’s a hell of a lot less formal than previous place, everything’s manual, and some people get discounts due to being regulars, and I have to memorise all the prices, rather than having an eejit proof till with everything written on. Everyone seems nice though, and the food’s actual food, not warmed up premade packeged stuff.
Yeah right, you don’t even know what side of the road to drive on!
Up, sheveled, sitting in a parking lot waiting on a woman; she’s late. Looks like I need to drive now.
Still raining, and I woke to a pile of puppeh turds in the dining room. It can only get better, right?
The rain is supposed to stop this afternoon. We shall see. My big plan for the day is to box/bag up all the stuff to go to the thrift store and load it into my trunk. I’ll drop it off on my way home from work on Moanday. We’ll also load the dump-bound stuff in the truck and **FCD **will take it tomorrow.
The only thing left to sort will be the box of photo albums. We haven’t opened it in 12 years or more. One side of me says to just toss it all, another said says to sort, scan, then toss. I’m thinking I’ll give our daughter all her childhood pics after I scan a few, and I’ll probably toss the rest.
There’s a bag of photos I took in Paris in the summer of '83. Chances are, I didn’t label them and I doubt that I’ll remember what any of them are, apart from the obvious tourist photos. Anyway, bottom line will likely be scan, then toss. Heck, I almost never look at the photos stored on my computer unless I’m looking for a specific pic. And after I’m dead, no one will care. Altho I should back up the ones I have, just in case this machine dies.
Too much excitement for one morning. Happy Sunday!
I’m not having a funeral. My mortal remains will be in some med school, ready to educate another generation. Beyond that, whatever anyone wants to do is up to them. I’ll be dead - I won’t care.
It is friggin’ cold, 53 degrees, and windy outside. The night time temps are creeping down close to freezing temps.
I’m not thrilled that we have to go out today.
I hope it warms up or is less windy by then.
It’s 54° and I just closed the windows and turned on the pellet stove to take the chill and damp out of the air. Of course, sitting her drinking a diet coke over ice isn’t helping.
But it’s still pouring and the damp creeps into the bones.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 59 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 87 and sunny for the day. We will have a cool down next week, with lows in the 50’s and highs in the upper 70’s to lower 80’s and dry. No rain predicted at all. We need rain!
Today we shall deheathenate. After deheathenization I have a meetin’ to attend concernin’ next Sattidy’s Oktoberfest at the church house. It’s the kickoff to our stewardship campaign so we shall be discussin’ foodstuffs and such. I shall be grillmeister and grill brats (the sausage kind) and chikin laigs. That’s a lot o’ grillin’ and will involve much time durin’ the afternoon, so my next Sattidy is already planned. We shall do a lot of the prep work on Firday evenin’ as it’s just easier to spend a couple hours then and worry about the major cookage the next day. N.O.L. shall also happen. That will be either sammiches here at da cave or grabbin’ a burger somewhere. It’s all willy-nilly up in the air as of now.
OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.
