Kinda By Request: The New MMP!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Doing a load of laundry before work.

Blurf gotta get a move on.

Glad to be of service

Two loads of laundry washed, dried and put away. Go Me! Also, got the chikin prepped for dindin. Take that June Cleaver!

But did you do your chores in pearls and heels like June did??

Oh, yeah, LUNCH TIME!!!

grockeries have been procured and stored. Nap time

Is that a word like NOL or irk? Did I miss a staff meeting?

She’s contemplating the meaning of thyme.:stuck_out_tongue:

Well, this has been a weird day.

Woke up at 0230 and instead of trying to get back to sleep, I got up and put the garbage out front and completed the book I have been reading. Raisin bread for breakfast, then about 0830 I laid down and slept until noon. So not a productive day so far, but in screwing up my metabolism, it has been great.

Nava, are “soap operas” popular in Spain? If not, your family could probably star in one in Mexico or India.

swampy, sounds like a nice visit and you got back just in time for the hurricane…

Drae, take a walk around the building if you can before you answer that e-mail; then wait 5 minutes after you type in and read it again. Save you a lot of future hassles (voice of experience). Of course, if it was something you were dealing with person-to-person, well, hope it went well.

Nuts, a 20-year old in a supervisory position is not going too be comfortable, either for her or the employees. Hope your new job has fewer stresses.

Nuts congrats on your excellent timing in making your move.

Nava sorry to hear about the family drama. Families can be, er, interesting. Are you based in Barcelona again? I usually get out there every year for the Mobile Conference, but it looks like this year I will not. I will let you know if it happens.

Drae Any reason you can’t update your information on LinkedIn? It might not take too much effort and you might start getting some nibbles.

Today I have paid bills and played with my new coffee maker. I love it dearly and my DH has noticed that our coffee is too old. :smack:

I’ll probably start laundry in a bit. Or something. Definitely something.

well, yes, but, really it’s just my family’s silly way of pronouncing groceries.

The e-mail wasn’t actually to me, I was just copied on it, so I didn’t really need to do anything. I just grumbled to myself and let it go.

That would require me to actually use LinkedIn, I suppose. But I’ll start looking around after the wedding. I saw a great posting last night, but I probably am not qualified because I don’t have any medical office experience. Might apply anyway.

Butters it looks like the storm is hitting North and East of you. How’s the weather?

I stopped for ground beef on the way home. A meatloaf is in the oven and another is in the freezer for a future meal. Not sure what I’ll make for sides, but I’ve got time to figure that out.

Meatloaf - yum!

Oops - double post.

Um, so, what’s shakin’??

**nava[/B, yours sounds like the family ties that bind and gag. :stuck_out_tongue:

I took the day off for a doctor’s appointment. He’s sending me in for an MRI later in the month as my back and knee are still giving me issues. I swung through the craft store for some supplies, then came home. Called Dad to wish him a happy birthday and talked to him for an hour while sitting on the patio.

I think I’ll kick back and play in teh studio this evening.

Meatloaf was OK, but not quite done, dammit. I thought an hour would be enough. Oh well.

Blueberry turnovers later.

I’ve packed the last 5 pieces for the store, which my sweetie will deliver tomorrow.

Dindin has been ingested. I did good both taste wise and leftover wise. Just enough leftovers for OYKW to have a good N.O.L. tomorrow. Go Me! Oh and I made some brownies.

MetalMouse the hurricane has no effect on me on this side of the state. Ye Olde Home Towne is also on the west side of the state where I am so it won’t have any problems either. Well, some winds cause that’s the case always but not big winds. We need rain but not hurricane amounts of rain. I’m more worried about Butters, Peaches, and doggio cause they are all way closer to the Atlantic than I am. Not sure if MOOOOOOM and rosie will have any effects of Matthew or not.

Dog Butler?
How sad.
How much does it cost to rent an airplane to seed clouds?

Today’s conclusion: if my husband had been in charge of logistics for the D-day invasion, Eisenhower’s skeleton and a million rusty tanks and planes would still be sitting on the southeast coast of England! We wasted a whole damned day putting a tarp on the camper, in the most complicated way possible.

So now the leading edge of the storm is almost halfway up the Georgia coast, and I still have hours of work I need to accomplish tonight. Grr.
