Kinda By Request: The New MMP!

I have completed mowage, makeage of burgers, and had N.O.L. Fairly productive mornin’ I do believe. ‘Tis cloudy and a little windy out. We’ve even had a few light showers some of which happened durin’ mowage. Felt kinda good and refreshin’ actually. Anywho, I am now all cleanded up and fed. I’m thinkin’ nappage shortly just cause I can.

MOOOOOOM glad FCDaughter is OK.

Good luck Rockin’!

I might let Mr. M live. He just brought coffee and hot doughnuts.

PEACHES Killded the mmp.

At work for a little while longer then three day weekend… yay!!

Home - trying to decide what to do for supper. Order in or go out? Decisions, decisions…

I’m out of surgery and in the postoperative area waiting to go home. I have a big cast like bandage on my foot and lower leg. I’m feeling OK, all things considering.

Apologies. Didn’t mean to!

Still caught between obsessively checking social media for friends’ updates, watching the local news, and remembering “just one more thing” I need to do outside. Also running “just one more” load of laundry, so we have plenty of clean skivvies for the next few days. Will fold stuff tonight after dark.

And I just dropped the truck’s bench seat on my toes while trying to re-install it. Do not recommend.

Dinner will be sandwiches or cereal or “scrounge it yourself.” East Jawja weather report: gloomy, rainy, and windy, with a 92.1% chance of “oh shit” after sundown. Tropical storm watch, flash flood watch, coastal areas are already inundated at low tide (almost.) High tide at about 1 am. Whee!

And on preview, hooray Rockin’! Wishing you a swift recovery!

Rockin’ glad surgery went ok.

Peaches glad hubby brought appropriate reparations.

Today around 10 I laid down for just a bit and opened my eyes at 1.

Partial good news on the disability front. They are going to pay long term disability for now, while they continue to review. Better than a stick in the eye, as a friend used to say, but no final determination yet.

I am very happy that it’s Friday. Steak dinner at home I think, or movie and popcorn. Decisions, decisions.

Yay for successful surgicals! Yay for partial good disability news!

We’ve decided on delivery from Pizza Hotline - yay for supper!

Howdy Y’all! Dindin has been ingested. Burgers with all the fixin’s and hash brown casserole. 'Twas easy to put together and quite tasty if’n I do say so myself. 'Tis gloomy and windy out which is as much as we’ll get from Matthew. Stay safe Peaches and others Matthew will have an effect on.

Rockin’ yay for successful surgery. Here’s to a speedy recovery.

Sunny yay for partial good news!

yay for Rockin’ and Sunny

Today is the day of minor irritants.

I get an email requesting that Sah-son fill out his FAFSA for the 2017-2018 school year. WTF? How can we fill that out when I have no idea how much I will make and no idea what school he is going to go to? The whole notice is filled with that there is only so much money so fill it out quickly before the money runs out. I’ve never had a FAFSA notice say the money would run out, they always just gave a deadline…
I’m wondering if it is legit.

The MD Exchange informed me that my coverage is going up $500+/month for next year so I have to choose a new plan again. Of course so far I have received two emails and one snail mail telling me this. In keeping with tradition I should be getting something from them every other day warning me over and over that I have to pick my new plan by the end of the year. The link to the new plans is screwed up and won’t let me change the year to 2017. Why would I want to look at 2016 coverage? Although maybe they have the year wrong, or maybe not. The MD Exchange sucks, always has, always will.

Then I get a letter in the mail today from Security Connections. Big white envelope thick with papers. I think it is probably junk mail but I open it anyway. I try to pull the papers out and I can’t. WTF? Some idiot stapled through the envelope. So I carefully tear the envelope so I don’t tear the papers and find out it is the payoff notice from when I refinanced my mortgage and the packet includes the deed. It is a messy stack of papers, all stapled together at the bottom, some stapled together at top left hand corner, some stapled together in the middle at the top, torn places where papers had been stapled and were taken apart and stapled back together, and I keep stabbing my fingers.
If you are going to send customers important papers you should have a return address they recognize.

So my little bitches for the day.
I’ll save the big ones for later

I can’t speak for the rest of it, but the FAFSA thing is legitimate. I don’t remember the details, but I do remember the announcement earlier this year that applications could be submitted as early as October.

I’m home now, comfortably resting in my bed. I tolerated crackers and ginger ale at the horsepistol before I left, so we stopped at Panera for chickie-doodle soup and grilled cheese. I devoured the baguette chunk before we left the parking lot because I’se hongry, dangit!

I had to crawl up the front steps on hands and knees because there’s nothing but crutches and house to grab on to, and the steps are kind of steep. I’m thinking it’ll be much easier to come in from the back, where there’s one not-so-steep step up, then another into the house.

Negotiating the upstairs is going to be fairly easy, I think. The hallway is narrow enough that I can grab a wall with one hand, while using one crutch with the other. Getting up and down the stairs is something else entirely. I have to scoot up and down the stairs on my butt, which is a lot of effort, and when I had to crawl up the front steps and into the house, I felt seriously queasy and feverish. I rested at the top of the steps, crawled my happy ass to the bathroom, then hopped back to my room by holding on to the walls. I’m now in bed, and my happy ass is going to stay here until at least tomorrow. I have my phone, my computer, my drugs, and Reed has taken the first shift of nursing duty. I’m not in much pain (yet), but I’ve got my stuff right here if I need it.

Is holding onto the walls due to drugs? Did they not tell you how to negotiate stairs on crutches? :dubious:

doggio, your supper sounds good.

Glad surgery went well, rockin’

I had a pleasant surprise when I went to pick up takeout for supper this evening. I went to a small Thai/Lao place in the next town over. I had stopped there last weekend and the dumplings and pho were to die for. Tonight, I got dumplings and a kissing cousin to Tom Kha soup(delicious). I also met the owner. I worked with him years ago in Nashville. His cousin used to work for me at another place here in town (I didn’t realize that they were family) and would bring in Somphong’s spring rolls for potlucks. I also worked with the cousin’s son (he was my favorite IT guy to call) at my present workplace. I has Thai/Lao food connections!

I went out and looked it up, and yep legit. Isn’t it sad though that there are so many scammers out there that you have to question everything?

I don’t know why they want to use my 2015 income instead of 2016 income but if that is what they want. My 2015 income is a lot less than this year, so in the short run it works to my benefit - in the long run I know it will catch up to me and I’ll be paying for it somewhere down the line.

I finally got into the 2017 health insurance stuff - not pretty for me. Looks like my premiums are going to go up at least $110/month if I want to keep BC/BS.
Decisions to be made, no matter what I’ll be paying more anyway.

I save money in one area only to have it go up in another.

As do I.

“Shit happens.”

Link, please? (PM is fine if you don’t want to get too public about your area.)

Miniature emperor catered tonight. My throat and sinuses hate me, my team is being moved to another part of the call floor first thing Monday morning, and bigwigs from the client company we’re contractors for will be around the first few days of next week. Considering the kiddie antics are ramping up again, I’m not thrilled. I think my best answer is to show up looking all professional and do my best work so I at least look reasonably good.

So the truck was late. Again. And 90% Christmas crap. But Canes won.

Yay for healing, Rockin’!

Yay for LDD, Sunny!

Sleepy. Be safe anyone still dealing with the storm. One interesting tidbit. Matthew has yet to make landfall in the US. Technically.
