Last week of April in the MMP

Morning all. Maid day so I need to get up and do stuff like strip the bed and get some laundry going. I need to go to irk at some point just to make an appearance. They paying me I should at least go there every once in a while.

Blurf

happy birthday **Dot **.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 59 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 81 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted for this afternoon and evenin’. This mornin’ I shall betake myself to  Wally Jr. to lay in some provisions whilst OYKW betakes himself to the Pubic Sto’ for other provisions we require. He’s gonna procure shrimpies cause there is a huge gnawin’ and cravin’ on both our parts for shrimpies 'n grits to sup upon. Actually we may N.O.L. upon 'em. We’re kinda willy-nilly on that right now. Other than that we shall hunker down as per usual.

Dot I am confused. Was yestiddy your bday or is it tomorrow? I must needs know in case I have been remiss in bday greetin’s.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, bother, and woe of woes, I suppose I must purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public attire. Life can be so difficult!

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Happy birthday Dot

Just back to the grind today. I am surely not going to miss this. Yesterday I tested the alarms at an apartment complex. The guy they sent to let me in the locked areas is 83 and works for the real estate company that owns the complex part time. The idea of continuing to work for another 20 years is depressing. 142 days and a wake up and I am retired.

Happy (belated?) Dot Day!!

Too bad you don’t live near me - my granddaughter *lurves *applesauce. And apples. And, frankly, pretty much any fruit. And most veggies. And anything she can dip food into.

The other day, she was dipping individual baked beans into BBQ sauce. Then there’s the broccoli dipped in ketchup. Daughter thinks she’s going to become the Next Big Thing in chef-ing. Sure, why not…

Terrible night last night - I fell asleep early, then woke, and that pattern continued until around 4. I figure at most I got 3 consecutive hours of sleep, but the rest was broken. Dammit.

We’re promised some sun today - maybe I can do some yard chores. I know Roxy would love some swingset time. We shall see.

Happy Wednesday!

Happy Dot Day!

It’s another grey, dreary wet day here. This morning we put the heating back on in case the cats were cold, and I have been less productive than I’d hoped to be. To be fair, I’ve been doing something that wasn’t my job and I hadn’t intended to do it, but now I am. It’s almost N.o.L time too, so I need to work out what food I want.

Swampy, I’ve had a postal vote in the UK for years, mainly because I am too idle to walk to the nearest polling station either before or after irk, and I don’t have to see the canvassers outside who still think I’m going to tell them who I’m voting for. Daft eejits. It’s a simple enough process and it means I can get it out of the way quickly enough.

I did laundry yesterday, today I washed my hair. We are venturing out for foodstuffs this afternoon, and blokie needs me to go via the nearest Hermes parcel drop-off place so he can return defective rubbish to The Jungle. On the plus side, it’s payday for me so I am solvent again, have paid the bills, and since I’m not going out anywhere and I cancelled the direct debit for my travel pass, I have some money to divert to my savings account.

The downside of being at home (and having some spare cash) is that I have a whole pile of CDs and t-shirts on order instead  When I am finally able to go out to gigs, I will be spoilt for choice when it comes to fancy band t-shirts.

You think you’re confused; she posted that it was Tuesday on Wednesday from my perspective… Days are blurring together enough without stuff like that goin’ on.

Had an online class. It was one of those where it just seemed to be me and the teacher speaking, everyone else was just sat there in silence; when that happens, I’m never sure if I’m being too talky or everyone else is just being too quiet. I did try and leave a decent pause before answering.

Anyway, on with the final assignment, and Happy belated? Birthday Dot!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Laundry day. And happy Giant Meteor Day! And since we’re all still here, that means 1998 OR2 practiced social distancing.

HAPPY [sub][sub]belated[/sub][/sub][FONT=“Impact”]BIRTHDAY Dot!!![/FONT]

Morning all. And Happy Birthday Dot, on whatever day it was…

Not a particularly active morning, it rained some last night and tunder-boomers are predicted for the afternoon, so if I’m going to do any shopping, it needs to be this am.

Found out I managed to de-register myself from Auto Pay for my Direct TV (was noticing the billing wasn’t showing up on my credit card as usual), so that has been resolved. Outside of that and solving a stubborn Sudoku, not much else to report this morning.

Getting several of those “I know all your secrets and will expose them to the world unless you send me bitcoin” messages, I just delete them since all my passwords have been changed and they are up the wrong tree barking, but I can understand why it upsets folks.

Everyone have a good hump day.

Roxy and I spent some time outside, in the sand box, on the swings, walking thru the woods, and blowing bubbles. We just had lunch, and in a little bit, she’ll go down for her nap. I hope the fresh air tired her out.

Last night, **FCD **wanted to get supper from the Chaptico Deli - I think we’ll do that tonight. They deliver, so yay!

Howdy everyone. Since TP and PT are still hard to get I caught them available on WalMart.com. **Swampy ** will be proud to know I will have the equivalent of 144 rolls when it arrives. Also 24 rolls of paper towels. That should hold us a while.

Hubs had a dentist appt. Just he and the dentist in the building. They cancelled all the hygiene appointments. I am nearly desperate for a haircut and color. I shall be grey if’n I can’t go soon. Actually silver and I would run with it if it was all that color.

Maid came and went. House is nice and clean again even though I have been trying to keep it up. She got done a half hour earlier than usual.

That’s all the quarantine news I have.

Have a great day everyone.

Happy day, y’all.
For no reason. Just feel happy today. I walked all 4 dogs alone early this morning.

Since I’ve been sickly I have not got up and cooked breakfast for Mr.Wrekker. I started up again last week. He seems happy. He likes his eggs a certain way. Well, the little grand-sons have started getting up to have breakfast with Pop-pop. It’s not hard to cook some more sausage and eggs for them. And Mom can sleep in, alittle.
This morning DIL was here early with her girls. So 2 more grandkids needed to eat breakfast with Pop-pop. Jeez:smack:
I feel like I’ve opened 'beck’s diner’

Y’all have a good day.

Well! Slap me. I’m a new Mother…

Indeed!

Rain has come and gone but may get some more later. Looks like swampy either has or is or will be getting rained on too.

Did some ‘bits’n-pieces’ shopping, ended up in 3 stores to get what I want. More masks and Publix had the one-way signs FCM dislikes, but it wasn’t too bad. BLT’s are for supper, which may come early as I’m a bit hungry.

Butters, got about 65 rolls here, but I’m single so it should last me awhile. Kroger had more paper products (most kleenex and towels, but some TP) today than I’ve seen before, so maybe folks have settled down some.

Reading and possible nappage on the afternoon schedule. Also need to get the garbage out tonight, on days I wait until Thursday they come early, on days I put it out Wednesday night it’s 2pm…ya can’t win.

All y’all take care.

I have achieved ditch mowage. Go me!!

Time to place an order with the deli for supper. They deliver. I need to scare up some cash for a tip. Onward!

The hospital told my sister her husband is down to his last hours. He’s the one with dementia. He’s still testing positive for COVID, but they’re going to rig her up with PPE so she can go in to say goodbye. I’m praying she doesn’t get COVID from the visit. :frowning: So most of today has been spent on the phone with our extended but tight-knit family.

swampy, I know JUST what you mean about voting. I love to vote, as in eagerly-anticipate, get-a-thrill-from-it LOVE to vote. And I, too, wore my sticker proudly. Then I’d tape it onto the dashboard of my car. So when I moved to Washington, where the ballots are always mail-in/drop-off, and there are no stickers, it was a letdown. I walk to the ballot drop-off place and sing “This Land is Your Land” while I put in my ballot. I probably seem like an idiot, but I don’t care. And I still want a sticker!

Red, a flickering light would drive me bonkers, at which point I’d probably flood the place deliberately while yelling, “What do I have to do to get a little service around here?” Then I’d end up in a psych ward, in a room with a flickering light.

Moooooom, I get a kick out of Rockstar dipping each bean in BBQ sauce. Imagine how much bigger the beans seem to her than they do to us! And clearly, this girl’s in no hurry.

Dot, Happy All the Birthdays!

Howdy Y’all! We ventured out to lay in provisions this mornin’. We et shrimpies ‘n grits for N.O.L. with baby lima beans providin’ the vegetative matter. Thus, any need to feed this evenin’ will be via forage. There’s left over boxed (don’t judge!) lasagna if desired. I desire not.

MetalMouse the rain is crankin’ up as I post. Tonight looks to be a rainy one.

OK, still don’t know my answer as to bday, but, just in case…

**nellie **- Roxstar dips EVERYTHING!! Her lunch today was a chicken strip, some noodles, and cucumber salad. I gave her a puddle of BBQ sauce, and it all got dipped - yep, even the noodles! I’m glad she’s not a picky eater, but DANG, Girl!!!

Supper will be delivered at 5:30-ish. Fried chicken, slaw (really good stuff), beans (I guess they’re good - I’m not much for beans), and JoJos (seasoned fried potato wedges - YUM!!!), plus dinner rolls. I’ve got some leftover green beans from yesterday, and cuke salad. Good eatin’, delivered to the door. And I’ll break out the paper plates to minimize dishes.

Today is my cat Atilla’s fifteenth birthday. Or it may be tomorrow, he was born after I went to bed but before I got up. His mother was feral, me and the next door neighbors were feeding her and had nests prepared for her. She let us put the kittens in the nest. Two ended up being adopted, two disappearred. Atilla is still in really good health for his age, he’s seen all the others come and go. It will be hard when he passes.

It is 5:30pm and has been raining non stop for at least 12 hours. Nice weather if you are a duck. Ariel had her stitches removed today. The vet administered the IV sedative, and I went to the bathroom. By the time I was done, all the stitches were out. The vet said “I forgot how many I put in. It was a lot!” Yeah, 20. Came home, had lunch, then took a nap with Ursala Kitteh.
