Lucifer, Season 2 (2016-2017)

Best episode in a long time, and the other episodes have been good. This one knocked it out of the park. Everyone got the right balance of screen time, Trixie was back (I love the Trixie/Lucifer interaction), whatshername, the shrink got to play a role, etc. Plus the Mourning Party with Maze and the detective just rocked.

The only negative I have is that the actor playing the Assistant Dean was too far over the top as a whiney little wimp. I get that he’s supposed to be a precious snowflake, but even on THIS show, he over did it.

Just killer episode.

Also, Maze looks like her actress has gained a few pounds and it looks really good on her.

I always look forward to any Lucifer / Trixie interaction, and this episode really delivered.
I thought it was hilarious how he was trying to yank away from her grip as she was holding his hand at the school, and then she had to say something like “Are you trying to sell this, or not?” Great scene!

I think the actress who plays Maze was pregnant at the time.

Would have been hilarious to actually see her drive the corvette, after she lived up to her part of the bargain.

I would have loved to have seen that!

Did anyone recognize the guy playing the assistant dean? He played Elvin on The Cosby Show many years ago. He was the husband/boyfriend of one of the daughters.

Agree with others, excellent episode.

Going back to the Candy Morningstar episode, was it explained/implied what Lucifer bought from the godfather-type guy in Vegas? It was in a silver briefcase, I’m having Pulp Fiction flashbacks not knowing.

I think it was the ring he gave her. I seem to remember a line implying that.

Okay, I’m going to push this thread to the top :

Lucifer, Season 2, Episode 16 (May 15, 2017) – “God Johnson”

Can’t wait for tonight’s episode! Lucifer encounters – his dear ol’ Dad? Should be pretty interesting.

They nailed this episode with the music, thats all I am gonna say

An excellent episode! Loved Lucifer’s interactions with his “dad” and the other lunatics. He fit in well at the mental ward.

Yep, me too.

I have to admit I was a little worried when it seemed like Lucifer and “God” were reconciling so easily (and “God” and Mum, too). I should have had more…er…faith in the writers!

It was a bit worrisome! If they patched everything up with a hug, that would ruin the premise of the show.

I feel a bit bad for the first murder victim. Barely mentioned in the episode and even worse, we find “God Johnson” could of saved him. The writers could have just left him in a coma for the episode and have him wake up at the end.

Loved this episode. The bit where Mom went all Ark of the Covenant on the little douchy singer-wannabe was a nice touch and I’m glad Amideal(?) finally got a slap in the face for being the whiney little wimp he’s been (“Wahh. YOU’RE the favorite. You’re ALWAYS the favorite. I’m gonna go eat a bug and then I’ll die and no-one will even miss me!”) has been getting obnoxious and this should nip that in the bud.

Seriously–Lucifer just keeps getting better and better.

I really enjoyed seeing the Maze / Lucifer fight. Bloody hilarious!

When I first saw this show, I thought, “Oh, another police procedural, at least this one has an interesting twist.”

I was starting to get tired of it towards the end of the last season, TBH.

I am not sad that they are spending less time with the police stuff, and more on lucifer and his family.

I enjoy both aspects of the show, myself.

Amenadiel and agreed.

Yes, I hope that Amenadiel becomes the glorious badass angel that he was first season again. But better dressed.

He fell a long way, didn’t he? But his character remains interesting.
