Mafia: Evil Dead - DAY/NIGHT NINE

Huh.

So I guess if you had protected Hockey Monkey, you would have lost your virginal status without any attack.

And that means Freddie didn’t attack me night 1, since if he had, you would have lost it night 1. So all his talk of a ‘toolbox’ wasn’t all lies.

Random joke, I claimed bacon in the last game I was in during Night fluff, reaction was positive, so I’m trademarking it.

Tag, you’re it, Special Ed.

I really don’t know. Part of the reason I kept asking to spend the Nighs with you was that it seemed a “safe” choice for me to make.

Wait, no. That means all his talk of a ‘toolbox’ was a lie. Think about it–we had 3 kills night 1, and one ever since. If Freddie didn’t target me at all night one (correctly assuming I had a protector), then he could have targeted Thing Fish. He said he was interfered with Nights 2 and 3, and he got lynched before he could do anything night 4.

If he’d had a kill, he would have scored some points though, right?

Assuming we’re wrong about brewha and the game goes into Night then the scum have two options I can see:

Killing pede or HM, leaving our pool of unconfirmed just as big or killing TL, making sure they can’t be discovered due to her blocking them.

My suggestion is for TL to block an unconfirmed player of her choosing (and not to say who it is) and for me to protect her toNight. It’ll probably only work once as they’re almost certain to kill me toNight.

Either way though we gain an advantage. If they kill me then TL can confirm the player she blocked is town (assuming only one scum left). If there’s no kill well then we’ve almost certainly caught scum and we lynch them. If they kill pede or HM it’s unfortunate but it’ll still mean TL confirmed a town and we can try again the next Night if the game’s still ongoing.

Did that make sense?

Yes, that makes a lot of sense in fact. And goes to show why I’ve said roleblockers are stronger than doctors in the end game.

And why exactly are we discussing Blam? Does it really make any difference at all to the game as it is now whether or not he was lying about Night 1?

No, it doesn’t…I just noticed that, so I thought I’d mention it.

The reason mine says re:PMs is because story was replying to me after I got my PMs working
**Rapier **is up

Nope.

This goes back to roadmaps again - if the scum thinks we’re certainly going to lynch whoever TL blocks if there’s no kill, then they won’t kill.

I don’t think TL is important enough to us to lose you, AH. It’s your role to play, but I’d rather see you play chicken with the scum, and maybe force him/her to tag a mason or unconfirmed rather than risk knocking heads with you.

Sorry guys, got called to a meeting.

Mafia: Evil Dead - Role PM

Welcome to the game; you are a Beta Redshirt

ALIGNMENT: Town
GENERIC: Vanilla
WIN CONDITION: All Deadites have been vanquished.

BACKGROUND:

Every horror movie needs a collection of characters whose only purpose is to die, sometimes horribly, as they help the hero toward his/her goal of standing alone atop a pile of dead demons. Ever since the dying started, you’ve had a sneaking suspicion that you might just be one of those characters… a suspicion that is not at all ameliorated by the fact that, by blind coincidence, you happen to be wearing a nice, cheery red shirt. Your life expectancy is limited, and you have no special powers, abilities, or knowledge relevant to the situation at hand. Still, only the darkest of horror movies end with all the tertiary characters dead: you’ll just have to hope this is Scream and not Alien.

One important note. There are two kinds of redshirts in this world: the Alphas and the Betas. The Alphas are the jocks, the student council presidents, the drunken frat boys, the head cheerleaders, the hard-ass authority figures, and so on. The Betas are the others: the smart kids, the computer geeks, the stoners, the well-meaning but ineffectual parental figures, the creepy loners, and so on.

You are a Beta. You have no idea if this is a distinction with a difference, but it’s something to keep in mind all the same.

POWERS:

  1. You have no special powers or abilities, other than your intellect and persuasive ability. Good luck, and try not to die out there.

This may be a silly question like when I asked why Almost Human’s Role PM had a post count on it.

But Why does Total Losts’s 2 quoted PMs stat with "orignally posted by storyteller0910?

Is there some way of quoting a PM that I’m missing?

You use [ quote=Whomever]stuff
to get that.

to get that.
thanks. I knew it would end up being a silly question

I’ll give HM a few more minutes.

Oh, ya’ll are waiting on me? I’m the Sorority Vice President. I don’t have any powers except knowing who my fellow masons are and being exceptionally hot and not picky about my lovers. (Which may or may not be relevant to the game according to my PM.)

Ok, so it has become painfully apparent that you guys think I’m scum. And, like I said, lynch away - you won’t hurt my feelings much. That is, as long as you manage to get the last scum and the win, since I too will win - even in death.

But, I offer you a one time offer*. For a low low price, I will vanquish 5 - Yes 5! of the 1/5th deadites for us. Why five and not 6? Well, I assume it’s because five- one fifth undead deadites = one undead deatite. And five one fifths of Maker’s Mark make for a great weekend! - Wait… Where was I? Oh yeah, the sales pitch. I will destroy 5 undead deadites for a low low price. That price you ask? Well, my life of course!

But here’s the best part. You don’t have to believe me. You don’t have to unvote me. You need only sit there and wait! That’s right all of this great bargain for zero work!

*Offer not valid in Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Canada. Subject to tariffs if shipped to Kazakhstan. The wording “one time” actually means “two times”, but I’ll get to that later.
So what does all this mean? I’m a holy man. That’s all I’m willing to admit right now. For the price of the day’s lynch, I can vanquish 5/5 undead deadites. So, basically I can trade the life of a townie for the undead existence of scum. I was never sure enough that the person in line for the gallows was not indeed scum - at least not until now.

  1. So, here’s our choices right now. I can let you guys lynch me. You can finish searching out the final deadite(s) and figure out what the undead deadites mean when the last regular deadite is strung up. If we are to believe Cookies, they count as deadites for the purpose of their wincon.

  2. Everyone can unvote me and we can lynch someone else. I can use this power twice, and I’m will to listen to reasons I shouldn’t use it today.

  3. Leave your votes on me and I take out the undead deadites…
3a. Lynch me tomorrow - which will prove who I am but leave us open to another 5/5 undead deadite if we accumulate 4 more.
3b. Lynch scum tomorrow and we will likely win.

I was going to just trade my lynch for the vanquishing of undead deadites, but I thought it’d be fair to listen to others’ opinions.

Can you provide some more information? Specifcally, is this a Day or Night action? If Day, and you choose to use it and the person is a Deadite what happens? You seem to be implying that even if we lynch you, (assume your town) you will use your power to take them out. This implies Day action, that works even if you die in the course of it. Is this correct?

I’m not sure I buy it. On the other hand, there sure has been a lot of only mostly dead people hanging around and if that fact is at all relevent, I can’t see there not being a counter to it. I’ll make up my mind when you provide some more info.
