blurf Got my last set of knee shots this morning. Now at irk. I have a bunch of A/P that needs doing. Who is Cookie?
Aha! But you only lose 36 pictures. Not hundreds!
Boss and Baby Engineer were whining about lack of money or some such. I suggested that boss could become a gigolo, which led to me explaining the difference between a gigolo and a Juggalo. Baby Engineer hadn’t heard of either. <headdesk>
A little later, I had to explain to Baby Engineer what the S-3 was - the Navy started decommissioning them in the early 2000s, and they’re all gone now. But I was there when they were brand new, assigned to the squadron that trained the first operators and maintainers. That was 1974, when I was young and able to climb on the top of an airplane to replace the ADF antenna… good times!
Replaced our old Char Broil BBQ with a new one yesterday. They were on sale at Freddie’s and plus it was 10% off for old pharts day, so a good deal. Except I didn’t have a truck, so had to take one still in the box. Took me 2.5 hours to put it together. There were 3 screws that could only be screwed in with my old 90 degree bent screwdriver, and one illustration in the instructions that I needed to go inside and get the magnifying glass to see. :dubious: Engineers!
Today is gonna be a ‘make sawdust’ day. after I go and deliver my grandson to school. It’s a late start day so I don’t have to pick him up until 9:45, which is why I’m hanging with youse guys for a few.
Happy Hump day!
Honestly, first I’m a bloke, then I’m a teenager; what will I be next, French?
Presentation pretty much went OK, but my body decided to react to new meds by not letting me sleep til almost 5am, so it probably could have gone better. Have to admit though, I was seriously not impressed by one of the others- one guy I’d always though to be quiet but relatively with it has apparently spent the last 6 months doing… nothing? He measured some plants, put them in some pots, then measured them again a few months later. I don’t think he knew why, and he certainly didn’t communicate any kind of a point; it was the presentation version of a cloud, maybe others could see a shape, but I don’t think there was anything there. A bright 6-year-old could have done a better job.
We were supposed to be asking questions, and I just couldn’t, because I didn’t think I’d be able to stop myself asking ‘What the hell was that supposed to be?’
I could see that.
On other news I got a haircut, trim and am doing laundry. Other than that just another day in paradise. It just cleans out your wallet when you develop and print!
It is raining again. A veritable frog strangler.
The shed was supposed to be moved around 3. Just before then, the sky opened!! But it’s now in the back and I guess the guy is setting the foundation.
I’m confused. How many sheds are there?
Have you been drinking Mulberry wine again?:dubious:
We have a garden shed, a paint shed, and the big building that is nearly ready to become a machine shop. The paint shed used to be out front and it’s now in the back yard. The compressor will live there.
Chef Guy
Irked, came home and am supping and chilling.
I am all set up for my very first colonoscopy. It is not until August though. Ugh.
not much going on here except the usual…Started a new Xbox game about pirates yesterday… but it’s problematic…
just lettin ya all know I’m alive basically and its warming up again … the supposed rain never even came close to reality…
Evening all. The dentist office called and asked me to come in an hour early, so I was done with that bit of unpleasantness before noon (and now have 6 months before I do it again). Watched soccer and then coached it, there is rain predicted for the next three days, I hope it goes elsewhere… Now home and internettin’. About 84F for the high today, I have resisted turning the AC on, but a few more days like today and I’ll start making the electric company happy again.
Butters, I hung Cookie on Chef Guy, like **red said, **since I didn’t know if he had a prior MMP name or not.
Cupcakes, your first colonoscopy will be an…experience (the actual test, no, but the preparation for it…:eek::eek:).
FCM, looks like your overloaded with sheds…
Nut, most college students in the States are between 18-22 years old, hence my confusion. And you are most certainly a lady, not a mademoiselle…
Bumba, I’m at the stage I hire someone to put things together, since I lack all mechanical skills.
All y’all take care now.
TMI spoiler. I have a freaking zit in my nose and that bitch is painful. Any one else experienced this and tell me what to do please.
Other than that I had a rough day. Not because of the zit but because of a shitty vendor interaction. I don’t take kindly to threats. And that’s all I’m gonna say about that.
Company is starting to stink too. Gotta make it to Sat morning when they leave and I just irk on Saturday due to Sat clerk telling me a few weeks ago. Firday is payroll day so I shall go to do that and skedaddle soon after. I have scheduled a staycation from the 15 May until 22 May.
Have you tried a hot, wet washcloth? Coupled with a topical antisthetic (however you spell it) like orajel should help until it pops and relieves the pressure. TMI, I get one of those on my nose or chin every few years, even at this age.
It began raining like hell when I got home. Thunderstorms off and on all day, but it let up while I drove home. That is quite surprising, since G-d hates me. She must have miscalculated. She will take it out on me tomorrow, I imagine, lots of stuff going on at work.
Another frog strangler going on now.
100+ pics was only part of my day shooting; can’t afford to do that with film.
Put your lips together & blow. No, wait, that’s to whistle.
::Looks in manual::
Ahh, here it is, put your fingers together & SPLORT
Ended up at Ruble’s favorite ammousement park today. Not Cedar’s Point, not Knoebels, nor even Diggerland!!! I was in Artillery Park! 18 of 'em in total in that one spot.
Cut down on the dandelion wine, Spiderbutt.
Seriously.
