I have been to the doc, seen the vampire (she’s actually really nice and likes corny jokes), have been to Walgreen’s and have been to :eek:Wally*World:eek:. That’s quite enough adventure for one day I say.
Spidey my visit to :eek:Wally*World:eek: today was brief, but I saw at least ten people crazier than me in the approximately twenty minutes I was there. Had I wandered into the clothin’ or sportin’ goods sections no doubt I could have doubled or tripled the amount of visible crazy.
I’ve spent my morning doing corrections on drawings from Feb and Mar. The engineers are backed up way more than I am! I’ve cleared a lot of crap off my desk, and after lunch, I hope to get the last of Tim’s corrections back into circulation. I can almost see desktop!
Spidey, you an Dogbutler are just the guys to help this poor, frightened and confused lovely young woman. You guys should come over and take her out to dinner, give her some support in her time of need.
On the home front, I’m wondering how many paintbrushes Nelson actually took from the kid bag and stashed under the bed. Any time he’s too quiet, I turn around and there are three or four kids’ paintbrushes on the floor, some of them chewed. I’m sanitizing them and putting them out of his reach, but who knew he had artistic aspirations?
I bought and cooked with some “Indian inspired” Tikka Masala" simmering sauce, whatever that is. Added some chicken and various vegetables. Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) liked it, and I didn’t dislike it.
We have the above mentioned Mrs. Plant’s car back, with the front and rear tires switched without charge. That is good, for I spent $2,000.00 getting the Ford Ranger I bought straightened out, and $1,000.00 on her messed up brakes. George the mechanic wouldn’t let us take it back until he ordered parts. He though one side of the brakes would seize on the freeway and be dangerous.
Had an unbelievably crippling bout of food poisoning last night. Dizziness, vomit, diarrhoea, the whole works. Even after sleeping well I’m still a bit woozy, especially as my stomach’s empty. Am now trying to rehydrate, but it might be a whole day before I’m firing on all cylinders.
Thought for a moment it was a spider bite, because I live in Australia and that’s a real hazard, but I can’t crawl up walls, in fact I couldn’t even walk straight without feeling like the world was spinning, so it clearly wasn’t the culprit. And then I remembered I had chicken for lunch, and knew that had to be it.
I must say it’s a bit frightening seeing the colour of half-digested chocolate biscuits and coke zero ejecting from your throat. Scared the bejesus out of me until I figured out what it was.
Now hear this! Now hear this! Swampy is to report to the couch immediately!!!
Further, instructions include him closing his eyes tightly, sticking his index fingers in his ears, & repeat this very important phrase, “La la la la la la la, I am not listening! La la la la la la la, I am not listening!”
Doggio is coming here later this summer & we’re going out for [del]a[/del] beer. I’m sure there will be some adventure that [del]night[/del] bender, too.
flytrap, until Nelson a) develops opposable thumbs, b) gets a bank card and/or c) gets a driver’s license, he’s stuck with my water colors or the tempra in the kid bag.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 77 Amurrkin out and clear (dark actually) with a predicted high of 93 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted for this afternoon. This mornin’ I shall accomplish mowage, thus ensurin’ a nice, bright, N.O.S. day. Steak and sallit are on the menu for sup.
Spidey cute dress but if’n you’re gonna do it, do it right, I say.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy is hungry. Then, mowage awaits. Rah.
Firday is starting out with much suckage. I’m not counting the rain, tho it didn’t help. But I decided I’d stop at WaWa for a breakfast sammich. Not only was the parking lot a mess because of a Pepsi truck blocking a large portion, but they didn’t have any breakfast sammiches out and only 1 register was open. So I left and decided to get a sausage biscuit at McD’s - where yet another truck was blocking part of the drive-thru, tho I was able to get around it. And after leaving there, I got stuck behind a garbage truck for a couple of miles. AAARRRRRRGH!!
