My very first MMP!

I posted my ejection seat on Craigslist (Seattle area). [asterisk]fingers crossed[asterisk]

Soup was good - then again, my soups are usually good.
Then we went to DQ for dessert. Now we’re home. Chillage shall ensue. Busy weekend ahead, but FCD will be futzing around the house - he’s caught up on his work projects, so yay!

And his dad called today. I could tell from across the room that he sounded good. Definitely a relief!

Howdy Y’all! We et sup and chilled. Much like everyday here. Tomorrow I shall mow. Definitely. I will. I have used one of those stand up mowers. It was fun, but if I were goin’ to plop mega bucks down on a mower I’d buy a zero turn rider. Those things are way fun, like mowin’ and NASCAR combined!

Hippie woohoo! You need this tshirt.

Welcome to the retirees club, hippy!! Pull up a chair, plenty of room for you. And 41 years…I thought 34 was doing pretty good.

Boo, sounds like your kittens got into your coffee and the caffeine…

Soccer has been practiced and I have games at 8:30am and 1:45pm, so bedtime will be early tonight. Still need to make up lineups for the teams so that everybody plays the same amount of time.

All y’all take care.

Johnny, I used to sell those kind of ads, along with the ones on the coffee mugs, menus, school sports posters and golf score cards.

Congratulations on your retirement hippy!

Yay for FCG doing better Moooooooom!

I knocked off irk around 1 today and considered stopping at Janarty’s for ice cream, but had forgotten that it was a company sponsored treat day and the ice cream truck was right outside the door. I had a Mississippi Mud ice cream sandwich. Not as good as Janarty’s butter pecan, but tasty nonetheless.

Grocery shopped, came home, took a brief nap, then took Nelson to the dog park. As it was nice without much humidity, there were a lot of dogs out. Bya (rottie pup) came over for a while to say hi and the low rider gang was all there, including a new one (a dorkie), Junior the beagle pup and Chevy, a small poodle. They played puppy tag for a couple of hours and Nelson was asleep in his car seat before we got to the stop light a half mile down the road. That’s a sign of a good time at the park.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Mexican food and margaritas. And margaritas. Yum.

I think they sent out for triple expressos that were delivered when I wasn’t looking.

And it be a Happy International Talk Like A Pirate Day, mateys!

Haven’t finished the thread. But this popped out. Do you have experience making theses? I love everything poppy seed.

Happy loot sorting! I hope the Anvil Gnomes take it easy on you today.

Today is Ruble’s and my 22nd wedding anniversary. I’m trying to decide if I want to drive 2 hours each way to go to an informal coaster club event at a small park in Ohio to hang out with friends, or hide from the world. Normally we would have been at Penn’s Colony this weekend (which is where we got married) but, like everything else, it got cancelled.

I’m so sorry, sweetheart. Thinking gently of you from afar today.

{{{MissOwl}}} - no advice about what to do, other than maybe take a little time to wallow in the happiest memories of your years together! :two_hearts: :two_hearts:

FCD is going to Lowe’s to get the stuff we need to fix the floor. The guy I called never called back and we need it done, so between the two of us, we’ll get it done. It’s not a difficult job, and most of it can be done from lying on the dining room floor, which FCD can manage. I can handle the stuff from below. We just need to cut out the rotten wood and sister in new pieces. Then caulk the crap out of it so it doesn’t happen again. And by getting it done this weekend, Chris and Eric can finish the dining room on Moanday. So that’s the plan.

And this afternoon, we’re going to look at furniture. So while he’s out and about, I’ve started laundry. Got a lotta dirties, and thanks to the overcast, I’ll need to use the dryer. Oh well…

Thus beginneth the day. Happy Saturday!!

Be with friends, surround yourself with them and share happy memories of your years together. Think of him as you drive those hours, listen to music he liked on the radio, perhaps even talk to him as you drive. We’ll all be here, tell us some stories too. Holding you in my hands today. {{{ }}}

Pretty exciting! you’re brave to be cutting out pieces of floor but it’ll turn out great like all your plethora of projects (well except maybe your less than daring taste in curtains…).

Mornin’ all. I’d say that like a pirate but I’ve been a landlubber all my years. Rest assured I’m in the lighthouse lighting the lamps to steer you off the rocks. :anchor::anchor::anchor:

Just now eating my bowl of Bob’s Red Mill Extra Thick Oatmeal (with brown sugar). 3 kitties are waiting in close proximity to lick the bowl. Then off to the shower to get ready to head over to grandgirl Hattie’s to spend the day trying to keep pace with a 3 year old. It’s my SIL’s birthday so grilling large hunks o’ meat outside will hopefully be involved.

Back later. Cat # 2 just whacked. Beer brother, Cat #3 on the head to keep the whole oatmeal bowl to herself. The meezer ran her off-they are in drastically different weight classes but feline attitude beats brawn every time.

Boo ahoy !! :pirate_flag::pirate_flag::pirate_flag: and all that :pirate_flag::pirate_flag::pirate_flag:

{{{OW}}} If you need to do a little wallowing, do it. If you feel the need to go to the park to remember, do it. Grief hits us all in different ways.

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted and a load of towels in the wash. After KP, I’m going to hit the road on the bike. The temps and humidity have made it a good day for a ride up in the hills.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Avast me hearties! The yaaarrrrrrd has been pillaged of tall grass and a feast has been consumed! OK, corndogs. Soon I shall head to me bunk for nappage. ARRRRRRRRR!

{{{Miss Owl}}} do whatever it is you need to do for you.

Lovely day in Sacramento, so windows are open to get some fresher air into the mini-cave (except in the bedroom, since DH is still asleep), and the Princess has an open patio door so she can come and go as she likes.

Sloth day today, except for dealing with a Walmart order, since both DH and I are feeling a bit unwell.

Sorry I can’t write in Pirate, standard English is requiring a little more thought than normal today.

Late morning all. Morning soccer has been played (we lost 0-3) and pictures taken, so resting up before the afternoon game. It’s about 10 miles up the road, so I’ll leave early to make sure I’m there on time. Temperature is going to 73F today, so fall may be falling early (back in the 80’s by next Saturday).

Don’t do pirate that well, so Arrrgghh and all that…

OW, it’ll always be a bittersweet day; do what feels right for you.

FCM hope the floor project goes as planned.

swampy, glad the yard stopped being squishy.

red, the “low rider gang” sounds like a lot of fun.

OK, need to come up with a lineup for 12 girls to each play 3/4 of the game and field an always competitive team. All y’all take care now.
