(OLD) Hey! It's The May-Day MMP!

Hey again, y’all. I conked back out and got some decent sleep. Still broken & intermittent, but there were at least some periods of deep, restorative, REM sleep.

Want more. Will likely return to bed. Am considering a cuppa tea, and possibly some applesauce, while I’m up.

Monkey is having some more gooshy-food (cats can get health problems if they go too long without food … a fact I should take to my own heart :face_with_diagonal_mouth:) but that’s a lecture for another time.

Meanwhile, I’m not running any marathons but at least I feel slightly better. It’s Trash Night ™ so I’ll need to dump & refill Monkey’s poopin’ box and round up the various trash bags. I’ve been going through a lot of water bottles. (That’s what we have at work, and I always bring my half-empties home at night to finish 'em.) That, and roll the bin out. Well, and go to work, too. Obviously.

Need a shower, but I don’t know if I have the wherewithal to wash my hair, too.
It’s supposed to rain tomorrow; maybe I’ll just stand outside.

Very nice JtC I like those colors and you can’t go wrong with  :heart_decoration: :heavy_heart_exclamation:

Ours are looking pretty darn good as well; at least all the ones that the nasty black squirrel didn’t bite the buds off of.

Congrats Niner :congratulations:

This sounds delicious; where does one acquire said product?

Up early to shower and get ready for mass. Wore a dress since it’s finally warmed up enough that I don’t have to wear long underwear. Lectored then made blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs for Hubs and self.

Since it worked out well yesterday to post what I hoped to accomplish, I need to try to finish washing dishes, go Krogering, go to work and do paperwork on transactions from Friday and Saturday and go to the Fitness Center. Here’s hoping I’m able to accomplish all.

Blessings to all Mumpers for an enjoyable Sunday.

A sunny here in no. Illinois. Going to take advantage of the early morning sunshine if 11 AM is early morning, and go for a ride on Miss Ariel. Ursala Kitteh is much perkier since she got shot with Solensia so she will be going for a monthly shot. That will not make her happy.

My friend was smart and recorded the coronation yesterday. We had a nice lunch of cucumber tea sandwiches, and chicken salad on croissants. We also had bakery cookies and scones with clotted cream and raspberry jam. I think I’ve had enough carbs to last this week. I really enjoyed watching the coronation ceremony. It was very moving in parts, especially when Prince William kissed his father on the cheek. I’m a sucker for pageantry.

Scramble a jumbo egg with some heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Spray a 10-inch non-stick pan with Pam. Pour in the egg mixture, and cover the bottom of the pan thinly. Cover, and cook until set. Add a slice or two of cheese in the middle. Turn off the heat. Fold the edges of the egg over the cheese, cover, and let the cheese melt while you make two slices of toast. Butter the toast, and put the mini-omelette inside for a breakfast sandwich. I used two pans so we could eat at the same time. One egg each.

I used two slices of pepper-jack, and two slices of bacon torn in half (folded in the egg) for mine. Mrs. L.A. got American cheese and two slices of bacon. We used Sara Lee Delightful Whole Wheat bread, and Smart Balance Omega-3 margarine. I’ve been having these for weekday breakfast (without the bacon, different cheeses), but this is the first time the Spousal Unit had one. She liked it.

Had some applesauce and Cheerios (my go-to “gentle on tummy” foods, kinda modified BRAT since I don’t like bananas) and was suddenly far too sleepy for tea.
Put in earplugs, and … have been utterly unconscious between then & now.

Ye GODS I feel better! Again, that bar is set low - and boy, am I groggy, though that will pass - but I noticed my eyes are no longer bloodshot.

Two hours till irk. Imma finish off the applesauce - I said I had “some” earlier; I never said I ate the whole cup  - and supervise Monkey going outside for some sunshine.
This involves sitting on my butt derping away on my phone, and noticing if I stop hearing his jingle bell collar for a while.

All y’all have a good rest of your afternoon/evenings/mornings.

Hello all, and happy day of sun (at least it kinda is here in Nashville.) I spent the morning with MFN, driving around in my van while we waited for his truck tire to be fixed. Ive been to a lot of the parks and greenspaces in the southern part of the county, but hardly any in the upper part. So he took me around to some of them, walking, talking and just enjoying nature. It was a good morning, especially after my SB stop and trip to the grocery store on my way home.

Hubby had a wonderful surprise for me when I got home: he’d cleaned the kitchen. I don’t know about anyone else, but my guy cleaning any part of the house for me is hawt. Now we’re getting ready to play some board games and/or nap. Not sure which is coming first.

Niner, your pictures came out great! Congratulations!

metal mouse, BtY did. CtE stayed in the car. Usually we find tons of stuff. I don’t think any of us were in the right headspace for it.

I love this. Hubby is a lapsed Catholic. I’m agnostic. Frankly, I don’t care where my friends gather to remember me, as long as Hubby and the kids are helped through their grief.

shoe, I’m glad resting helped. You can kick this thing!

red, we hadn’t been either for years. I’m sad that they’re closing but glad they had such a long life!

Sensei , only one fight between adolescents? That is a full on miracle there!

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated Bishop style and then had first Sunday brunch. Good crowd and much nummy foodstuffs. Nappage has been achieved and now we chill. Nice and warm out, so I foresee day drinkin’ out by the ceemint pond in a bit.

Shoe glad you’re feelin’ better.

If that was a real George Nelson slat coffee table it could’ve gone for thousands! Oh well it was used and used well.

We have a few of his designs, pedestal table, roll top desk, office chair. Used to have a contact at the the Herman Miller employee store.

Riding has been accomplished. I haz showered and am eating leftover chicken salad and bingeing L & O.

Happy Sunday!

This week went really fast.

Nice morning at the park, it was in the low 50s.
After the park we went to get groceries.
After we got home, I ate breakfast and I have been napping off and on since then.
I should not be this tired, and I have an awful lot to do around here.

Monkey has a clean poopin’ box, I have empty trash bins with fresh liners, and the bin has been rolled to the curb. Also, I am wearing, uh, semi-clean pants.

Go, me!

Speaking of Monkey, his food woes may be over. No, the shipment didn’t arrive early, but about five minutes after the daffodils started blooming, it appears we have careened directly into Fly Season.

There’s a big, fat one buzzing around right now, which will at least keep Monks entertained in my absence.

Am bringing a packet of instant soup and some Earl Grey tea bags to work to keep me buttressed.

(Heh. “Butt.”)

I went to Blowe’s and got four more cable clamps. They’re installed and the extra cable has been snipped. The greenhouse is officially finished – unless I get three dozen pavers to make a floor. (SWMBO nixed that idea before I even unboxed it. But you never know…)

Heh, just an idea:

Can you get a pizza maker friend at work to make you some plain pizza dough ‘breadsticks’? A special order so to speak. I’d skip any cheese or garlic butter for the time being.

Just think of ‘breadsticks’ as being the B in the BRAT diet, customized for you (B for bread instead of banana)

A small pIzza sized ball of dough. Patted out about an inch thick, cut into strips, throw it in the oven for a few minutes. Dunk into your instant soup broth if yah want. Tell them your concierge personal home health nurse consultant told them to do it for you. If it works for your tummy, just before you go home have them make another set, underbaked a bit so you can pop them in the oven at home.

FCD is in the engine room finishing the wiring. We’ll head home soon. Mostly I have been handling him tools and supplies but I is worned out!!

I’m kinda hoping for rain because he wants to wax tomorrow. Is that too lazy of me? Maybe I just need a good sleep.

As is Spot’s. He thanked me by headbutting me, and trying to yank out my goatee hair.

Here’s the video of Roxy and Tobias dancing.

LOL That was fun!

Tobias got the music in him!

VanGo, pull start lawn mowers and rototillers were the bane of my existence when I took care of a garden and lawn. Good luck on fixing it.

Mooooooom, your grandkids were delightful to watch dance.

Got the kids’ cards done and began a wedding card for my niece, who made it legal Friday with her longtime beau.

I made a pot of Tom Kha soup for Sunday dinner (twas good) and did something dumb when cleaning up. I found out that you cant put lemongrass trimmings through the garbage disposal without backing things up. Everything’s clear now, but in the future, they’ll go in the kitchen trash.

He does love to dance - he’ll run across the room to do Elmo’s Happy Happy Dance Dance! The kid cracks me up!

HOME!! Higgs has been fed, FCD has showered, and I’m taking a chill break. We had a late lunch, so I doubt we’ll have supper. His mom didn’t load anything into the truck, so we didn’t have to bring anything home with us. Which is good - we’re both beat.

Weds, she starts moving in to her new place. I bet she’s all in there by next weekend.
