Ooooh, looky, it's the second annual springy MMP!

I just got off the phone with sis. I’ve been tryin’ to call mom for the past two days sans success. Why no success you ask? Well, after church yesterday she and her best friend decided to go spend the afternoon at Callaway Gardens to look at flahrs and such and didn’t get back until late. CG is near where mom lives (and I grew up) and is just one of those things folks around there do. Today, she went with her senior citizens group to go shopping in Etlanner and to eat. Sis said mom got in around nine tonight. If my mother can stop flittin’ around long enough, mayhaps I can reach her tomorrow. What can I say, except Gooooo mom. She deserves it. Oh and week after next she will be on a six day cruise to Jamaica. I should have my mother’s social life.

I am on the edge of my seat awaiting weddin’ tales!

I’s sleepy. Nitey Nite Y’all!

ETA: First on Three! SCORE!

Getting ticked off… people are parking in my stall.

Seems to be three of them regularly, a Ford van, a Saturn sedan and a cab.

I’m going to start calling the parking authority because I want to be able to park in my stall when I buy a car! Which will be (hopefully) in about a month!

I took a pass on the Guitar Hero. I got distracted because Elektra was on tv. Yes, it’s a bad, bad, not even laughably bad movie. Apparently I am a sucker for Jennifer Garner walking around looking all pouty and confused in red leather. But every time I watch that movie, it makes me sad that I don’t have a copy of Elektra: Assassin.

Maybe I can squeeze in just a little Guitar Hero before bed…

I have a phone interview in 15 minutes. Stupid time zone difference. (I’m not too nervous though - I’ve worked for this school before. And they just want to make sure I’m not lying about my English skills, I think.)

pprgirl, I love Jennifer Garner in her Elektra costume. Hawt.

Wow, that was quick. The interviewer actually interviewed me before, like, two years ago. She actually remembered me, which was flattering.

I’m praying that I’ll be able to get an offer of $40/hr this time around. Last time I taught I was earning $30/hr, which was the highest salary possible for a newbie. The thought of actually earning a decent salary makes me all tingly inside.

Home. Nelly approves of the new car.

Nobody bought me lunch today.

Haze, One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor? Been ther, done that. You have more drama in your like in a weekend than I do in 3 months.

{{{{{Pie}}}}}

{{{kai}}}} and good ticket vibes.

LiLi, tell QD that the deadline is May 9, 6:45P.M. EST. Of course Gnat thinks he can walk, he’s a ninja.

Hi, Mork!

Keep it up, Herbs!

swampy, gotti, donkeybear, Room 304 isn’t booked till midnight.

Hi, Mooooooom!

rigs, you don’t need a box, I have space.(and Haze can join us if ThatGuy doesn’t work out. Heck, i can collect wives like LiLi collects husbands!

Oooh, can we be a harem? I’ve always wanted to be part of a harem.

It’s useless. swampy’s been ignoring my advances for years. gotti on the other hand…

Still doing laundry. Cleaned out my car and applied Febreeze liberally. Nothing to do but wait to go to bed. Too bad there’s not any tequila in the house.

Great pictures GT! I’ll have to slug out to the gardens and take pictures myself. There is a lot of things coming up and blooming that I have no idea what they are, but sure are purty!

I want to thank everyone for the well wishes for my mother. Turns out she had another bleeding ulcer, but not bad enough to need surgery, and won’t as long as she eats and takes her medicine, and lays off the Excedrin! She was discharged yesterday, and was well enough to go shopping for groceries with my sister. Now that she’s super iron fortified!

In other news, my sister has taken to a few home remedies to induce some contractions. She’s pretty miserable with the pregnancy, and she’s two weeks away. I fear the 3am call though…

My geothermal system was finally finished today! Hooray! And in four years it will have paid for itself! I’ll post results on how well the system operates in the future. Jim went next door to apologize to the Principal for the work crew driving through a small patch of yard, and he was cool with it. I just didn’t want to be known as the inconsiderate new neighbors. They chatted for a while, and he and his wife are getting much amusement at Nikki and Jimmy running the Jeep to the very back of the property.

In other news the across the street neighbors, (The house that has a lot of people living in it.) her son, (who is 18ish) was mowing tonight with his shirt off. A bit scrawny, but not bad to look at.

We were sitting there peacefully watching Jeopardy when the phone rings. It’s the guy from the moving company coming to pick up snowbunny’s moving cube, except the storage place office is closed and he can’t get in. So we hop in the car and drive up to let him in.

He’s this enormous young man (who was big enough he looked like he could pick up the whole cube by himself) with the coolest three-wheeled giant forklift I’ve ever seen. We opened the gate for him and he zipped in, picked up the cube, and backed straight out the gate so fast we couldn’t believe it. Talk about someone who’s good at his job! So snowbunny’s belongings will be winging their way towards Idaho come tomorrow.

Hi, Mork! No job, or pair or jobs, should be enough to keep you from hanging out with us! Make time, young man! Oh, and bummer on the iPhone. :frowning:

Fingers crossed for a good job offer, Haze. You deserve the highest pay they can offer!

I think I’m turning in early (for me) tonight. No matter how much work I have to do! Nighty-night, all! Don’t make so much noise in Room 304 that you keep me awake!

Good to hear your mom’s going okay, LLess!

Olive gets to go get her rabies shot tomorrow. Lucky her.

What did I tell you?!! Totally lost it. Oh well, they say it’s all downhill when you get to be his age.
Hi Mork! Bummer about the phone.

Good luck on the job, Haze.

I’m loafing.

I’m doing it deliberately. Defiantly, even. I should be blogging – it’s not like I don’t have things that need to be written – but I’m not. Instead, I’m loafing, and dammit, I’m going to enjoy every slice of it. It’s half my blog, and by Og’s great reverberating gonads, if I wanna take the remainder of an evening off to engage in some yeasty lounging, I will!

I think I stretched that metaphor too far.

Mahna[sup]2[/sup] - That’s not a half bad idea. The only possible issue is that the blog is fairly technical (iPhone and iPod Touch) and familiarity with the platform and its many facets both official and unofficial is virtually a requirement for a well-written article, especially when references to prior pieces, knowledge of software packages, and followups to earlier articles are necessary for a well-rounded article. In other words, you kinda have to be part of the scene in order to know whereof you write. Not that it isn’t possible there are some such who may want to intern. I guess I should take a gander and scope out the possibilities.

Hank - Hi! Thanks … and yeah. Some people are just pricks with ears. But whaddya gonna do? I’m trying to be pragmatic about it. It’s done, we got screwed, all we can do is see if we can try and recover some money (probably not) and move on.

Swampus - Hi! Yes, too long. Keeping up here seems like it’s no longer an option, so I’ve resigned myself to popping in here when I’m able and sayin’ howdy and chattin’ a bit, then getting back to the grind. Grinds. Both of them.

Yeasty lounging - now my new favorite euphemism for masturbation. You see, it rises, you punch it back down.

Yowch! You punch it?! :dubious:

No pain, no stain I always say.

Welcome back, Mindy! Did you miss us?

Good luck with tickets, Kak - I’m not an EJ fan myself but it’s always fun to get tix for something you really want to see.

I had an idle day yesterday, unless you count some cleaning, making spagbol, cooking rhubarb and catching up on “stuff”. It was a public holiday here so no worky for me, always a bonus.

Today I’m back in the office, bored already. Is it time to go home yet?

Cute cartoon, DB.

In the midst of all my drama I keep forgetting to mention best wishes to herbs… TVMan was on Chantix to quit smoking and when we went on our trip I was asking him if he had his pills to take with him. To my surprise, he said that he had finished them a couple of days before. I’m so proud of him. And, herbs, I know (from watching him) how difficult it can be at first, but hang in there!!!

I tried to sleep in this morning because both of my employees will be at work, but it just didn’t happen.

Morning all. Day Two. Welcome back, FCM – we’re on pins and needles awaiting your tale! And thank ye, CutiePie, for the encouraging words; they reminded me to take my zyban this morning.

Thanks to all who’ve encouraged me; so far so good … one day at a time. Hope everyone has a good Tuesday.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. Gotta go purtify for work soon. Ick. I can’t get all waked up. Plus I’m all allergied (it is too a word!) this mornin’.

donkeybear it’s not that I’ve been ignorin’ the advances, I wanted you to concentrate on school. Now that you’re done with school… How YOU doin’? Heh. Given the biiiiiiiiig age difference that makes me a dirty old man.

Oh and the thought of meetin’ donkeybear and gotti in room 304 makes me swoon. Especially if it involves leather jock straps.

Ok, I’ve tmied up the place so it’s time for more caffiene and brekkies and work purtification.

Later Y’all!

ETA: Hang in there Herbs! Yay for mom TagFree!
