Popping Your Cherry with the MMP

A dusting overnight but 6-10 predicted for Sunday into Monday. My only hope is the prediction is from the same staffers who were saying 3-4 feet for NYC last round.

Ahhhhh, how I miss just a half-dozen years back when Global Warming seemed real and I put over 5k on the Sportie between Thanksgiving and April 15.

You call it a tuque where you live, too? I thought it was only or mostly a Canadian term.
I had an Australian friend who called it a “beanie.”

Well I’ve seen Strange Brew about 500 times, so it stuck with me.

Emily, here in the midsouth, we generally call them stocking hats, but the thing that a chef wears on his/her head? That’s a tuque.

Now I’m picturing a chef wearing a winter hat.

Just back from getting Higgs’ nails trimmed. I swear, with the noises she was making you’d think the groomer was taking her toes off!! Idiot dog.

Nary a word from the company that was so hot to interview me on Weds. I’m kinda surprised I didn’t get a “Thanks but no thanks” email. So even if they do contact me now, I think I’m busy.

Howdy from da cave! Actually I’ve been here for a while. How long a while you ask? Long enough to make a batch of chawklit chip pee-kahn cookies, so about an hour and fifteen minutes from turnin’ on the oven until takin’ the last batch out of the oven. That batch is coolin’ as I post. The spoiled brat shall have a surprise.

Ima make fried chikin’ livers, smashed N.O.T., and peas ‘n carrots for dindin. I got a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for chikin livers. Also, just so y’all don’t think I’m slackin’ I’m also doin’ some irk related stuff. Go Me!

doggio that does sound good. I’d do beef however. Da bear is not a big fan of lamb, which is why I don’t like a lot of Greek foodstuffs.

ETA: MOOOOOOOOOOM that hair has got to get washed sometimes!

On the right side of the forum it shows who the last poster was & the time of their post. Seeing Swampy & a time of 2:18, I just knew it was going to say, “Howdy from da cave!”
What type of irk are you doing from home, powering down the tablet? Or does irk from home = Betty Crockering?
You can haz my chicken livers if I can haz your lamb?
Lamb merquez snausages for din-din tonite.

Sah-son didn’t want to go to the store with me so I didn’t go.
I told him fine, if he runs out of food he has to eat what I eat and he said okay.

I did move the truck though since it’s been parked in the yard. I don’t want it to get stuck and since I was out moving it I decided to go to Roy Rogers for a roast beast sandwich. I got Sah-son TacoHell
I parked out front for the first time since I’ve lived here. The back yard doesn’t get the sun, there’s still a lot of snow and the alley is icy.

One of the cats was out back sitting under my truck. As soon as I stepped outside (s)he ran under the shed. It’s a pretty little cat, fluffy white (sort of) with black ears and paws.
I wonder if it belongs to somebody or is a stray.

Anybody can have my share of any kind of liver.
I used to work in an office that was next to the cafeteria. Every time they made liver I was green, shaky and nauseous. enough for my co-irkers to notice how sick I looked.
I couldn’t handle the smell.

I’m irritated. I was going to get my car inspected, but the dingbat at Valvoline was acting like she was going to fail it because I got the check engine light reset earlier this week. She didn’t even look at my mileage or anything. So I told her if it was going to be so much trouble to inspect it, I’d relieve her of the responsiblity for it and left.

I don’t usually get all VBob/swampy like that, but that dingbat seriously had no idea how much driving I’ve done this week. That Valvoline used to be pretty good, but they’ve gone downhill in the last couple of years. I don’t care if it is across the street from my neighborhood, I’m not going back there again.

I did go further down the road and got me some Chick-fil-a after that, so all is well in the world.

Pizza has been ordered for supper. I need to scrounge up cash for the tip…

Spidey I am able to multi-task. while makin’ cookie dough and slappin’ cookies on bakin’ sheets, and slidin’ ‘em in the oven I was on a conference call. The mute button is our friend. Also, I scanned and emailed a bunch o’ paperirk stuffs after I finished cookie makeage. So There! :stuck_out_tongue:

Spaz in answer to your earlier query, cheese thangs are cheese crisps. Kinda like cheese straws but rolled into little balls and smashed down with a fork so they look like itty bitty cookies except they’re cheese thangs. I get to make those tomorrow. Good for you re Valvoline lady! I would suggest an email to Valvoline to include the name of Valvoline lady as a follow-up.

Dindin has been ingested. OYKW showed amazin’ restraint. He scarfed down only four cookies after he ate his dindin. That is not to say cookie scarfage will not continue, however.

Nah, it ain’t worth it. I shall simply take my money elsewhere.

I was working on a story, but then it went off the rails so I’ll have to let it rest for a while. Meanwhile I’ll be going over to swampy’s place to swipe his cheese straw cookie thangs.

If the person who answers the door says there are no cheese straw cookie thangs, that will be OYKW. Also, that might be a true statement if I don’t watch him every second after I make 'em.

spidey, I’m withyou on the lamb vs. chicken livers thing.

spaz, while you’re at swampy’s, you may want to ask if there are any choklit chip cookies left too.

I got month end closed out today and had my annual review with the boss. It was good and I’ll see a modest raise. I stopped at the international market for veggies, came home and stir fried up some sriacha chicken with bean sprouts, snow peas and shiitake mushrooms over brown rice.

If I didn’t have puke breath, I’d kiss you.

There are still a few places in New England/Vermont where they are called Liberty Caps if they are a little longer and taper to a point.

Good job on the raise, missred.

Coming up for air between bouts of homework. I’m kind of stuck on the Business Communications (due Tuesday) until I hear back from the instructor, the Financial Accounting (due tonight) shouldn’t be too bad (we’re still in material that’s basically review for people who took Intro to Accounting), and I don’t imagine the Intro Spreadsheets assignment (due Sunday) will be horrible.

It’s cold and windy out there! So glad we got rid of the crappy window/storm window combos a few years back. The multi-pane vinyl windows keep it a lot warmer in here!

I’ve crocheted the bodies for 5 larger bunnehs. One more to go, then I’ll sew and stuff them. Tomorrow. I’m done tonight.

I’m in my fuzzy robe and I took my meds. Next stop - bed.

MWAH!

Rather cold and windy, everybody spent half the tailgate in their cars. I hate all liver.

red, that sounds dang good.

Accounting homework done and submitted (still kicking myself for taking that long to figure out a mistake I was making). Excel assignment looks pretty easy, so I’m not worried about doing that after work tomorrow. Info forthcoming tomorrow on the Communication assignment so I should be able to get that done in time.
