Popping Your Cherry with the MMP

I may be getting better at this tax thing. I did our Fed taxes by hand, then let a tax app at 'em and both agreed exactly. With all of our non- and partial-residency state tax confusion, I didn’t even attempt to sort out the percentages and ratios.

I’m just glad the Carolinas are recognizing same sex marriages, or I’d be muddling through seven returns for the two of us.

Why yes, I am up stupid early on Saturday, thanks.

But there’s leftover pizza for breakfast, which is some consolation.

Today is clean-the-fridge day and stuff-the-bigger-bunnehs day. I think that says it all.

Happy Saturday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 36 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 59 and sunny for the day. Not that I’ll be out and about as today is a day of domestic stuff. I need to iron a bunch of shirts, and at some point make a batch of cheese thangs. I have completed the first step to makin’ cheese thangs. I took the butter and cheese out to soften.

red yay for the good performance review and the raise!

gotti yay for gettin’ the fed taxes done! I foresee taxes as my chore next weekend.

Ok, that’s all I got for now. Rumbly tummy wants to be fed and I need more caffeine. Then, who knows. I might go back to bed or begin domesticity. I’m all willy-nilly like that.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

We’re awaiting one more 1099 - in theory it will arrive in the coming week, then I can do our taxes. It’s so much less of a chore since I use software and file on line. Last year, our state refund appeared in our account in 2 days! The feds took a WHOLE WEEK!! We shall see what happens this year.

blurf

I’m going to get my taxes done Monday. I was going to do it Thursday, but I decided to put it off which turned out to be a good thing since I came home to find a form I needed from my health insurance in the mail.

I has a blurf.

Howdy, all!

I’m waiting on some kind of form from the Healthcare Marketplace that I didn’t even know that I needed until I started doing my taxes. Hopefully the damage won’t be too great from that since for the first time in forever I’ll actually be getting a refund.

I’m up this morning and trying to figure out which of the 5 million things that I need to do that I should start with. The whole poo waterfall thing has really put my progress behind in just actually getting settled in since we moved. So far in the kitchen I managed to clean the stove, refrigerator, counter tops, and the silverware drawer. There’s a lot more left, oh, forgot the pantry is mostly done.

The good news is that now that I cut out and removed the wet part of the carpet and padding that the lovely aroma is starting to disappear. I was worried that we were going to have to replace the floor boards, but I keep spraying them with Odo Ban and as they dry the smell has been fading.

Then there’s the actual work work that I brought home. Then there’s the … Yeesh! This is overwhelming. Well, anyways, RT is on his way and will be home in a couple of hours. We’re both hoping when I go out that there will be a parking space available next to the good Mexican restaurant, not only because it’s the closest place to home, but also because YUM!

Ok, I’d better go do something.

Almost forgot to say, sari, can you get a muzzle for sahdog that you use only for when you take him somewhere to get his nails cut?

Up and caffeinated. Doing laundry before work.

doggio, I get the feeling we’d be good teammates on Iron Chef America. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m waiting on the statement from the short term disability folks to do my taxes.

Tonight, I’m heading into the city with my bestie to see Daddy’s Dyin’, Who’s Got the Will. It was a good movie years ago and should translate well to stage.

ETA: ruble, are you talking about the. “…Papa in his cap” hats?

Just finished taking pics of the Harley that **FCD **is going to sell. I’ll list it in the Marketplace forum - who knows??

Well, it’s been an eventful few days. I went to see my local university’s production of Mozart’s opera “The Marriage of Figaro.” It was amazing! Great music, great performance, and very amusing.

What was also amusing was the party I went to last night. Glitter got everywhere. That is all you need to know, really. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have made cheese thangs and ironed some of the shirts. Go Me! OYKW went to his orifice for a little while to get some stuff in order for his audit next week, poor thing. He’ll be back in a little while. I have some cheese thangs in reserve for him as a surprise. Scramble Dawgs for N.O.L. when OYKW gets back. YUM!

MIdget the fact that there was glitter gel everywhere borders on TMI.

StickyBuns ICK! Hope you get it all cleaned up and back to normal soonest.

The pot calls the kettle black. :dubious:

Midget, you reminded me of this, so it’s your fault.

My 2nd :Dfavorite!

Cool!
Thanks, Rosie!

A question for computer-savvy people, even tho I think I know the answer. Is there a way to copy everything from one computer to another, including programs, and have it all work without going thru the hassle of installing every single program?

No, Microsoft would not make enough money if that were the case.
:dubious:

a firewire cable. Insert the cable into the appropriate slot on both machines. Boot up the machine that you want to put stuff on (B). Once it’s fully booted, boot up the machine that holds the files you want to transfer (A). You should be able to see A’s hard drive on B’s window, or at least in the explore section that tells you which files are in which folders.
Create a new folder on B, highligh everything in A and drag it to the new folder.

Alternately, see if there is migration software that’ll do the hardwork for you. I know Apple has migration software for transferring files and data. I don’t know if Windows does.

& is pointed out by the pan.
