I’m glad that you enjoyed the comics. I PM with more. Sorry for the delay in responding. Eight inches of Snow Christmas night and the power went out about 11 pm. I’m running a small 1500W Coleman generator. Cords strung out all over the house. The cord for the computer will be disconnected soon so that we have power in the bedroom. (Note to self: buy two more 25 ft cords). Can’t run everything at once. But it would help not to move the same cord several times a day.

They say it will be Tuesday to restore. One week without power.

I want to thank Aceplace57 for the absolutely amazing Christmas present. I am a great fan of Ernie Bushmiller, and the rare comics page from 1941 is awesome. While I possess several collections of Bushmiller’s work, I previously owned no original newspaper copy. Fortunately, I have a good friend who manages a framing business, and I will be having her handle the art so it will be protected on its single full page sheet. You sir, made my Christmas day.

The hat also is greatly appreciated. I had never heard of the Felsenthal Wildlife Refuge, but a quick search this evening yielded many beautiful pictures. Aceplace57, I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. Thank you ever so much. Above and beyond!

I opened my gift tonight. The delay was all on me; the gift arrived on time but I was away, and then busy. So, Christmas is today for me!

I got a lovely wildlife photography book and an exotic tasting chocolate bar with a curious combination of white and dark chocolate with coffee bits sprinkled within. Definitely tasty. Perfect gifts!

Thank you, Filbert! I love the gifts and I want to thank you especially for the extra effort in sending it from across the pond in the UK and getting it to California on time.

I’m glad you like the gift, Reepicheep! It was fun searching for it and then visiting that quaint shop for the first time (for anyone local to San Jose, CA, it’s Three Sisters, in Willow Glen). I was happy to support a local business.
