I’m glad that the prezzies arrived intact, even if the USPS tried to damage them!!!
What I really wanted to get you was some yarn, but I didn’t find a yarn shop until too late. I think I’m still going to check out that shop, though–I used to crochet a -long- time ago and maybe I’ll try it again.

Okay, I’m looking at the very obvious rocking chair symbol on the card and the book bead tags. I should have figured that out. ![]()
But what do the other letters written on the tags mean?
[/QUOTE]
the other odd letters signal hardback or paperback sizes, if there is a stone of gem quality, ie jade or bloodstone.
i hope you enjoy the book. i would love to work at the office depicted. i would not go running into the day or night.
I got my gift package today!!!
Ms. Whatsit and family sent homemade soap made with the oils of coconut, palm, olive and jasmine…Mmmmm…lovely scent!
They also sent a cute Snowman mug, and a lovely penguin face mug with Santa hat and tough but flexible straw; and a bag of chocolate covered espresso beans.
Thanks to all the Whatsits!

There was as long stretch that I did not crochet. I find it very relaxing. Kind of like reading a good book. It something that I can do alone that is just for me while I am doing it but is also a gift I can give to others when it is done.
Yay, my gift arrived today - just in time! My roommate was very envious. Especially when I opened it: I received a Crossbow Attack!! Including a skeleton horse! This will make my desk the coolest at work, and in 4 years or so cement my status as the bestest aunt ever (at the moment, the nephew is 2 and would probably eat the crossbow) ![]()
Also, a novel (e), which came in handy rightaway as I had to wait at the dentist’s today (yay, toothache on Christmas). Loads of fun!
Thank you very much, **Jodi **(upon your return), for this excellent Secret Santa gift!!

YAY! My Santa has arrived from somewhere hot 'n sandy!
I had a “sorry we missed you” slip on my door from DHL yesterday, so I signed it and put it back on the door before going out shopping at 6:00. When I got home at 7:30, it had been delivered! (Yay for leaving the husband and child at home!)
It was from dottygumdrop, and was immediately opened with great glee. (Since we’re flying out at 8:00 AM on Christmas day, there was no point in waiting.) The first thing I pulled out was the most hilarious looking stuffed camel I have ever seen. Her name is Sandy, and she’s got big pink lips, pink fluffy feet, a pink fluffy pom pom on her hait and a pink, yellow, and purple blanket on her back. I found a picture online here. Cracked me right up! The next thing out of the bag was a very cool set of nesting dolls, representing a family - dad, mom, daughter, son, and baby. And the last thing was a pair of very cool silver-tone dangly earrings with sparkly rhinestones. They’re kind of hard to describe, but I’ll try: The post has a rhinestone on it and one length of silver chain dangling from it with another rhinestone on the bottom. The back has three lengths of chain hanging down (longer than the one in the front), each with a rhinestone at the bottom. Very chic!
Thank you so much dottygumdrop! It totally made my day!

I am sooooo pleased it arrived before Christmas and I hope it was the sort of stuff you wanted! After I had already packed it up and shipped it, I found you the coolest pair of sock-slippers, so I bought them and after the holidays I will send them to you (snail-mail) as a baby gift to keep your tootsies warm in the horse-pistol!
BTW Anaamika, my gift still hasn’t arrived, but then we have had a whole string of public holidays since the 14th, so maybe Monday when the Bahraini public sector goes back to work, my gift will be delivered!
Still not gifted.
We’re right in the middle of a white out snowstorm, so I may check the mail later. Maybe Christmas Eve will see it’s arrival.
Still no gift here, and after today I am on leave until the 30th, so fingers crossed it will be waiting at the office for me when I return after Christmas!

Well, thanks! I plan on spending lots of labor time in the tub, but I’m sure I’ll need them for the two-day post delivery stay.
So, I got a package from Finland today- the note inside said it was from my Finnish Secret Santa, but failed to provide a name.
Also, she apologized for sending it late, although it did arrive on time!
Anyway, as to what I got- I got what appears to be Raspberry chocolate (I say appears because the packaging is in Swedish) and a beautiful necklace that’s kind of hard to describe- the charm is a little silver circle with a blue wood bead inside. It’s very pretty and just my style.
Thanks!

Yay! It made it on time! I was worried that it wouldn’t be there because they said 5-7 days. Hurray for the Finnish Post.
It’s raspberry-cranberry chocolate, a new flavor that came out this fall and which I’ve discovered I quite like. I decided to spread the love. I’m glad you like the necklace. ![]()
I have a question… I sent my package off last Thursday, but saw that my recipient had already recieved her Santa gifts. From the description, they weren’t the items that I sent - not even close. Did someone get sent to twice? I haven’t recieved anything so far - must have been delayed.

I wanted to say that I haven’t received a package yet, and that I’m at my parent’s in Arizona from this morning until the 30th. But my building in Chicago has a staffed package room so anything Santa sends me will be safe until my return. (can i tell you how much i love having a package room? way better than a chimney). And any Christmas goodies will most certainly be enjoyed during the latter of the twelve days!
Consider me gifted! I got a rather large envelope today from my secret santa. There was no username, but I’m going to go out on a small limb and say it was tdn . Inside the envelope was 100% cotton paper, a pack of paint brushes, a palette, and some paint. It was so above and beyond what I thought it would be. I’m ready to clear off the table and get to work!
Thank you so very very much…truly. Oh and if those cards you sent me were ones you painted, I hate you! Hate you because I’m jealous. I can only hope to paint so well.

I’m glad you got it, and I’m glad it came before midnight (it’s quarter of Christmas right now).
Those colors were no accident, by the way. They are my most used. In fact, in my parents’ home (where I am now), there is an original painting of a winter scene that was done using just those two colors. It’s disgustingly brilliant.
I’m still giftless
. And my person never said they got it. Have I failed at this?
Hopefully my gift got where it was going and maybe mine will come soon. It can be an early wedding gift (we’re getting married Jan. 5th).

Ah, don’t feel bad. I’m still giftless from last year, this will be two years in a row.

I got a second package today - from you, I assume, purple haze.
Anaamika, I hope nobody got accidentally left out? If so, let me know and I’ll be happy to send out a second gift.
From purple haze I got a wall calendar with pictures of beautiful castles, a King Arthur fantasy adventure book, a piece of lovely cross-stitch, some fun magnetic sculpture toys, four packs of stickers, some colorful beaded rings, and a little slinky that I’ve been playing with all afternoon. They are all perfect, thank you so much!
Hi! Just checking in to say that I’ve been officially gifted! I got a lovely, golden tin (with a beautiful Cherub on the cover) of Christmas cookies! Thanks** Anaglyph**! My children and the mailman were mesmerized by “the package from another country”
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!
Still not gifted. As another poster has said, this happened last time too. Another poster gifted me then. If my gift giver for this year sees this, can you let me know if the package has been sent? I’m not trying to be greedy, but if you mailed it and it’s been lost by the US Snail, then you need to know.
