Secret Santa 2002!

viva - are you thinking that you sent a present to the same person that sent one to you? Because that’s not the case, so the gift you got is supposed to be from a different person with a different address than the one you sent out.

If you didn’t think that, ignore this whole post!

I got my SS package about a week ago, but I’m waiting until Christmas morning before I unwrap it:p ;).

Of course, given how crazy-nutso things are at work I could go insane before Christmas rolls around.

But probably not.

Thank you very much Secret Santa!!!

I got my gift ! ! ! ! ! !

And proceeded to unwrap it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Saw that it was  a MUCH COOL gravity timer from, oddly enough, Gravity. It will occupy a place of honor in the billiards room at home, and is utterly perfect.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ! ! ! I love presents.

Unfortuantly, Welbywife re-wrapped the present and won’t let me play with it until Christmas.

Well I’m an idiot. I’ve had mine for a week or so and STILL haven’t sent it out. Mine only goes 5 hours away so it shouldn’t matter too much. I think I’ll hit the PO today.

UncleBill’s work starts at 8:30am. Mail Box Etc website says they open at 8:30am. So I figure I’ll be first in line and get to work 15 minutes late, no prob this week. The door says they open at 9am. Since I’d already offloaded 5 boxes from the truck and it was reasonably close to 9am, I wait. And wait. Until about 9:20am, when the person with the key finally shows up. I hope they are better at getting things delivered than they are opening on time. Here’s a hint: Both of our recipients are NORTH of our house!

They’d almost have to be, wouldn’t they??

[sub]I said almost[/sub]

I caved and opened my gift! Very cool–I got a handheld Pac-Man game and I am driving Max the cat insane with all the bleeping. But I have no idea who my person is! It came from Minneapolis.

And I did indeed mail my gift yesterday via Priority Mail, so it should get there soon. I forgot to put something with my username on it though.

I am glad you like it. You mentioned games and I thought you would like this.

Dan

Viva: Yes! I think that the return address on the box I sent you was my home address, while the address that I emailed to the santa organizer is my Mailboxes Etc. address. I was at my mom’s house in TX when I sent the box out, and I don’t know my MBE address right offhand.

**Whoooooooo HOOOOOOOOO **

I got my Secret Santa Box today. Nearly ripped it out of our grumpy rural route driver’s hands when she delivered it to my steps.

Naturally, I tore open the box as I walked into my house.

Calm yourselves right down…brace yourselves for feelings of complete and udder jealousy: I received **Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer Oven Mitts. ** complete with jingly bells. Dear God, they are perfect in so many ways I am *speechless *.

**But wait, there is more ** I also am the recipient of **Sumatra Coffee ** which I think it means I am suppose to drink it during twisted sex poses. It smells outstanding and if it weren’t too late in the day, I’d brew up a pot ASAP.

**Lastly ** the cherry on the top, a magnet of the shape of Virginia that can proudly go on my frig: between Hawaii ( I’ve never been) and the UK.

I’m more spaztic than a ferret on methampethamines right now!

Thank you!

Huh???
Okay, duh…No, I have never done this before.

Never mind.

I’m trudging off to the post office within the next half hour. Unless I decide to stuff something else in the box… If it arrives after Christmas, you know it’s from me. :smack:

I got mine yesterday!!! A beautiful book of scottish music! I love it! (I think the book is probably early twentieth or late nineteenth century). And I don’t know who sent it, but I’ll find you!

My package will be in the mail tomorrow, and I’ll kick first class mail into gear.

I got mine!!!

I am not opening it till Christmas. It’s going under the tree with all the other presents. And then I’ll have one extra present. Because Christmas is a little bit about presents, Snoopy says so.

Thanks Kat. I love it already.

a package awaited me on my return from seeing the two towers!!!

what a day.

santa really does know all. santa sent me a lighthouse. i love lighthouses!

north carolina, hhhmmmm. i’ve been to camp lejune (sp?). a military base is very different than a lighthouse

Yes, I did. I am very glad you like them. [sub]Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to find dragon images that are suitable for greeting cards? Well, I’m here to tell you…most dragons are…SCARY! [/sub]

You are most entirely welcome, hon. I enjoyed the whole process. Shopping in this new store in town that features dragons and unicorns and mythical creatures…things like that…

Finding the dragon pics and making the cards…

BUT most especially making you a happy camper. NOW you can’t say you “never got a dragon” from your SS!

Merry Christmas, Kat dear!

My Love,

Cheri

The gift is sent. The woman at the post office said it’ll be there by Tuesday for sure. I totally forgot about the note I was going to write with instructions in case the recipient couldn’t figure out how to use the thing. (email me at BrattiAtti@yahoo.com if you need instructions.) I also forgot to tell him/her/it who I am. Here’s the hint: now you’ll know why my mother only lets me wrap things that are box shaped. Happy holidays, everyone!

Och aye, wee lassie!

Glad you like it! I was in the second-hand bookstore looking for some other gifts as well, and I thought that one was too good to pass up.

Of course we’ll all be expecting a library of MP3’s to download.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude !
I must thank Khadro.

Australia Post delivered the article this afternoon while the kids and the missus were home, but I was Caught@Work (Droll, very droll)

So, I get home, it’s stinking hot, all I’m thinking about is going in the pool and the kids come running over with the package saying ‘You got a plushie, you got a plushie’.

You’re right dude, you can’t effectively wrap a plushie.

So, anyways, we have to open it there and then.
No concept of putting it under the tree now.
The two year old is screaming ‘plushie, plushie’.

So we all grab the envelope, rip it to shreds and they both squeal with delight at the …

7 DWARFS DOPEY PLUSHIE PHOTO FRAME !

The little one has now adopted this as her very own and just won’t let it go. She’s waiting for us to choose picture of her to put inside it, and then place it very prominently near this years Christmas tree.

A wonderful gift and thanks for the time and effort you took in researching and selecting it.

Merry Christmas.

I got my gift too!!! But it’s under the tree waiting for me for Christmas Day. I know it will be something wonderful and unlike the rest of you ‘unable to wait’ people I shall enjoy opening mine then.
