DWD you’re welcome. What a great play by play!!! I’m glad you and yours enjoyed it!
Hey beagledave, thanks for the desk clock (with thermometer in f & c) It’s on a filing cabinet here in my office. And the mug buddy is really the bees knees, it’s on a mug in the multi media room at home!
I haven’t seen my guy (!!!) post about his gift yet, but then again the post office was rather busy on the 24th… ::sheepish grin:: I didn’t get my Secret Santa covert ops assignment until the 15th either, and I promptly ate the message so had to wait a few days for the address and information to re-emerge! ::ewww!::
I opened mine yesterday morning since I had nothing else to open. I got a CD of games. I didn’t look at all of them, but some were intesting and one was really dumb. I did find a couple of intersting ones, just the kind I like, wish I could remember the name of it though. So SS thanks I’ll get some use out of it, oh and the cookies are gone.
I guess my SS giver is going to force me to go through this whole thread and match up who says they got what and from whom. That would cut down on the possibilities of who my SS is and let me say a better thank you.
And today my things were supposed to arrive to my giftee and as I was going through some of the bags I have laying around I spy something I forgot to put in the box.
My person will be recieving another little box in a few days.
Now I really feel like a bigger dope!:wally
skittles, I got my secret santa gift from you. It arrived while we were away in Tennessee visiting family, but I opened it when I got home on Christmas Day
Thank you so much for the wonderful presents. My wife commented that it was scary how well you seem to know my tastes. I have the M&M guy on my desk at work (that is where I am at the moment). My wife might appropriate the mugs as she’s the coffee drinker, but the cookies are mine, all mine!!! <frenzied stare>
Thanks again, it was a pleasant surprise when we got home.
I got my gift on Monday, and haven’t really been online to say thank you until today. I got a really pretty hanging candle holder (Well, part of it sits there, but part of it hangs) in silver with blue beads, my favorite colors! Thanks, Santa!
(I also have no clue who my santa was, sine the return address was simply “SDMB Secret Santa”)
A mini stocking with my screen name embroidered on it
A beautiful bracelet or anklet with black iridescent beads and harem bells, in the stocking
Chex mix and…
Home made cookies! I might share the Chex mix, but the cookies are mine, all mine!
Thirty lashes with a wet noodle for Ruby for being so damn slow getting to the post office to pick up her SS gift. (sorry!)
Thanks to Medea’s Child, I got the most awesome SS gift!
I got a little Zen garden and a book…“Pittsburghese…How to Speak Like a Pittsburgher”
I’ve been laughing my ass off all afternoon…
Ahia: The state west of Pennsylvania Crewsants: A cheesy, crescent shaped pastry. Dahntahn: Below uptown Dill: as in cards, not pickles. Filum: used in most cameras Stillers: Pittsburgh’s champion football team Worsh: wash
I will be sure to take this dictionary the next time I visit Pittsburgh so I can understand the natives!!
Thanks again, I just love it!
PS…I still haven’t heard from my recipient yet…<fret monitor on>
Thanks for my gift certificate, Quasi. Although I kinda knew what it was, I waited until Christmas to open it. Sounds like you enjoyed your trip. Hope everyone’s enjoying the holiday season
**lainaf, ** thank you for being gentle. I guess it goes to show I can read recipes properly but not threads. The dream catcher is lovely, it’s hanging on the wall but I need to fix something up so it hangs freely. I like the beads on the threads, I’d not seen that touch before. You do good work.
 Oh No! I feel so bad. I thought I was sending this fabulous present and it is the absolutly worst possible thing I could have gotten. That’s it, I am done trying to be creative. Next year my SS giftee is getting a puzzle.
Ruby, You are quite welcome, it was a neat adventure to get the book, bt I knew it was a great bit of local flair. (The other option was Frank Lloyd Wright Fallingwater stuff. Also cool, but not technically Pittsburgh, just nearby.) My family also thanks you as I had to visit several bookstores to find your book, and ended up adding at least one book to each of their loot piles as well.
