I was afraid I had been a little too specific about the things I like.
You did great. I gave the nesting Simpsons to my son when he got home from school and he loved them.
Tis me, there was a little riddle in the top left corner of the box. You’d think I would’ve remembered to put it in the inside of the box, along with the description of the little round thingie. DO NOT USE AS A CONTRACEPTIVE. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON"T.
It is a piece of Celtic ring proto-money. Or not. Here is a couple of links, you can decide for yourself. I still thought it was way cool, either way…But then again I am easily amused.

Glad you like everything.
“I also got a beautiful angel (a small wooden one, not a real one)”
The real angel was over my $10.00 limit, and they’re too fragile for shipping by the USPS, otherwise I was all over it.
Well I did…and from YOU even!
Thank you Scarlett67 for the fantastic gifts, all with a bit of whimsy and history.
I got a rock, sand, granite pebbles, < giggling > and loads of office toys like post-its and markers and a slinky. My sanity thanks you.
Scarlett your gift couldn’t have been more perfect! I absolutely love it all!
Oops…and one last thing.
My gift is being mailed sooooooon. I’ve been tied up and unable to get mine out until now so I’m hoping that we can do some postal-fu and get it to my SS recipient in time for Christmas…
If someone sent something to me I haven’t gotten it. Normally I wouldn’t say that I haven’t gotten anything yet, but we’re missing a number of packages at our house and I’m beginning to wonder if they are missing. I know in the last year at least one package went missing because it had a tracking number and said it was delivered. I may have to go talk to the post office today if we don’t start getting them.
Kaiwik sent a very nice card and three presents from Alaska to New Jersey. I’m waiting until Monday to unwrap them.
welby, your knickknack is on its way. It’s something that I can almost guarantee that you don’t have and nobody else in your area would have.
Also, it’s in a Gordon Foodservices box with no wrapping paper. It’s also got girly handwriting on it. My female birth giver didn’t like my handwriting on the card. I was also going to put a letter in it detailing the journey needed for the knickknack and an alternate gift that was initially intended, but the female birth giver nixed that.
I REALLY need to move out of this house.
Wow, you have a *male *birth giver, too? Any lasting prostate issues from the process?
No, but depending on the time of the year and the weather, gonzomax does waddle around a bit.
Would that be around February 2nd?
Heh, I didn’t even think of that!
Glad you enjoyed everything. It felt a little weird to be scooping gravel out of the driveway for somebody’s Christmas present, even if she is a rockhound. In my defense, I did pick the biggest, prettiest pieces, and I even washed them. Even broke up a set of jars I’d been saving for who knows what.
And I had fun shopping at Office Max, cuz I like office toys too.
Have fun!
Wow, based on the sale price of items contained in your first linkie-poo, you spent way over the limit for Secret Santa…
A Celtic ring proto-money…kind of like ancient scratch and rub lotto tickets, eh?
Oh, hell no, it was about 2 bucks on Ebay, I had bought it for another reason, changed my mind, but still thought it was really cool. The angel was a (ahem) re-gift, but the hair stuff was all you. I thought if you were at all like me, you never spend any kind of money on hair stuff, and might enjoy the little luxury. The cookies however, for their sheer homemade rarity, have to be worth at least $120.00 by themselves…
Why yes, yes it is!
I am still giftless–in both senses. Turns out the company I ordered my recipient’s presents from didn’t ship them out until the 14th, despite having charged my card on the 5th. I am a little mad at myself–I wish that I’d thought to have the presents sent straight from the online store to my giftee, then I still could have sent the other little odds and ends from my house. I just thought I was ordering in plenty of time!
Oh well, we’re just making Christmas last longer, right?
I hope Canada Post / U.S. Post has not lost my secret santa gift…it should have got to the U.S. by now!
Woo Hoo! It got here in -one- day! USPS is on the ball!!
Monica, thank you so very much!! My SS Monica sent me: a nice (tall!) mug with a penguin on it, some hot chocolate to be made and drunk from said mug, and finally a beautiful, hand-made scarf! It’s so soft and in my favorite color. Thanks bunches, Monica.
My Santee package is still in the DC area, unfortunately! It is supposed to get there by Christmas; at least we are able to track it. So keep watching the mail, and it will hopefully be there by Friday.
One day? Wow, Tarragon, I’m impressed! And you’re welcome. You provided a description that made it easy.
Squeeeee! Just got it tonight. I love it! For the curious, it’s this adorable sterling and marcasite ring, although the purple is more purpley and less blue IRL, which suits me perfectly!
Thank you so much, anyrose. You’re all kinds of awesome.
And, yeah, I was gonna wait to open it, but I saw “Nature’s Jewelry” on the return address label and I just couldn’t do it. I’m glad I didn’t, because the ring perfectly complements the bracelet and earrings my Dad got me for my birthday, and that I am planning to wear to Christmas Eve’s dinner!
