Since I'm The First One Who Felt Like It I'll Start The MMP

I’ve done 2 loads of jeans, and my mattress pad is now in the dryer. I spent about 3 hours hanging with Cozmo while I did laundry, throwing stuff for him to fetch while watching Netflix. He’s on his own now for a while. **FCD **just got up, and I just talked to daughter - she’s about to board her plane.

No idea what, if anything, we’ll do for supper. Scruffy is giving me the hairy eyeball - she wants to be fed, so I guess I better get to it. Always something.

Oh, and it’s raining again. ugh.

I just saw snowflakes falling.

Going to steam up some tamales for dinner before heading out later.

Snowflakes in April? Well, it would be  if’n it happened heah.

We went to the not awful Chinese buffet for dindin. It was good to get out for a bit. Now we’s all fed and back at da cave relaxatin’. Life is good.

We’ve had rain most of the day, unfortunately, and are just coming out of severe t-storm warning. There were some strong gusts blowing too! Dinner will be soup and grilled cheese sammies.

Other than that, I got nothing. LOL

I just got asked to read the part of Pontius Pilate durin’ the reading of The Passion Gospel in church tomorrow. I am ummm… flattered?

Daughter just called - her 4:45 flight is about to go. It’s nearly 7:30. Stoopit storm.she won’t hit the KC airport till almost 9 their time, then there’s the drive to her friend’s place - she’s gonna have a long day.

Tomorrow has to be better, right?

MOOOOOOM I’m sure mmmmmm and anybody else who has occasion to fly on any kind of frequent basis would say that’s par for the course. I’m so glad I don’t have to travel by air so much anymore. It was always like that for me. I am not afraid to fly, I just detest it.

Well, it’s been quite a busy day. Hubby ran to the dump with our trash, and in the meantime my daughter, her sweetie and their friend arrived.

I drove them to one auto parts store that had the shittiest service and attitude ever, so then we drove over to Pep Boys. I picked up the brake pads we needed for hubby’s car, we drove back home, then they confirmed what kind of brakes were needed on my daughter’s car (long story), we drove back to Pep Boys, got the rotors and pads for my daughter’s car, and then they started working on it. It took a bit of time, but they got my daughter’s car done.

Then they started on my husband’s car. We found out we could take one set (I had two different kinds back), and we found out the front brakes weren’t bad at all, but since we were in there, we opted to go ahead and change them. Then we moved to the back passenger tire. That thing was stuck on there but goooooood. It took a long time, but they finally got the wheel off, and then we found out what kind of pads we needed for the back.

So, my daughter and I hopped back into my rig, we drove back to Pep Boys returned the unused set of front brake pads, and got ten bucks back because the back brake pads were cheaper. They moved around to the driver rear tire, had a little trouble taking the wheel off, but finally got it done. Now, they’re finishing up the driver side front brakes and then they’re finally done.

This all started at 9:30 this morning. It’s now 5:02. It’s been a long day. We opted to not go to our friends’ house. We’re just wiped anyway, and it’ll be nice to chill.

Indeed fcm…par for the course. I take deep breaths and make sure I have lots to entertain me book wise every time I go.

I have purty hair. I switched stylists but still go to the same place and she does a great job. I ate junk food for lunch then took a 2 hour nap. I also did a load of towells and dried my jeans I washed last night.

I suppose I should go and fold the 2 other loads of laundry I did last night, out the towells away and then pack for my Tulsa trip. But I am still feeling groggy from my nap so I am going to sit for a while longer methinks.

Oooh. I hope I can go to Mass tomorrow. Maybe I can get to a local Mass in the afternoon if TomKitten prevents me from going in the morning? I love Palm Sunday.

swampy, does your church do the whole church response, “Crucify him! Crucify him!”? That’s one of my favourite parts of Holy Week.

Here, Gnat’s been totally awful today, we’re all still alive. It’s okay and tomorrow starts Holy Week, which is exciting because I love Easter.

LiLi indeed the whole congregation gets to be rabble rousers. I, too, like Holy Week. I like the Agape Supper on Wednesday, Maundy Thursday Service, Good Friday Service, Easter Vigil and then the big huge Feast of The Resurrection on Sunday. Even though the Vigil leads to an Easter Service, I still go to the biiiiiiiiiiiig main Sunday service cause I like it so much. Of course, we are havin’ a big ol’ Easter lunch at da cave, so I also have to pull off bakin’ a ham and all the appropriate nummies to go along with said ham. Busy but fun!

ETA: First of Four!

I killded the MMP!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. 'Tis 51 Amurrkin out with a high predicted in the mid 80s. A nice Spring day!

Today we get to wander around all over the place wavin’ palms at church. Then at the very end of the service I make my debut as Pontius Pilate. Should I demand a dressin’ room?

Ok, that’s all I got. Need more caffiene and soon I shall need to figure out brekkie. Life is so hard!

Happy Palm Sunday Y’all! Or Happy Sunday as the case may be.

Happy Sunday, everyone! It’s gloriously sunny outside and although I haven’t stuck my nose out there yet, I am hoping it will be warm. I have very little planned for today, I’m going to clean the kitchen worktops and the cooker, and after lunch I’ll head outside and weed the front borders now that things have had time to grow a bit and I can work out what’s plant and what’s weed.

After that, I will be having a nice soaky bath, putting fresh polish on my toenails, and having an evening in front of the tellybox. My friend and I have a regular Sunday evening sofadate to watch Come Dine With Me which is a competitive dinner party show. It’s harmless entertainment but the contestants have got worse and worse as the show series’ progressed, and these days it’s often only the narrator who makes it worth watching for his amusingly pithy comments.

My friend and I watch it from our respective sofas, and text each other with comments during the show. It’s almost like having real company!

BooFae whenever Come Dine With Me is next in your area you must, I say you must, do whatever is necessary to become a participant. Who’s in on this with me?

Urgh. TomKitten has Gnat’s cold and needed to be held upright last night so he could breathe. Going to haul Mr. Lissar out of bed and declare mental incompetency.

Good morning all, up and caffeinating. Today I had a bowl of frosted flakes with banana for brekkie, and it was delicious. Happy Palm Sunday too.

My daughter and I had planned to go to Target this morning, but there was a fire at the Mall yesterday and it’s still closed. I guess there was some smoke damage or maybe a lot of smoke in the mall itself. The fire wasn’t in the stores but rather in a tunnel that runs underneath the mall. I think I might make a pan of lasagna today, but that will all depend on what time we get to Target, if we do get there. It’s not much warmer than yesterday but at least it’s not raining today!

Have a good day everyone. I hope your head doesn’t get too big, Swampy, from playing Pontius Pilate.

Good morning!

Another beautiful breezy day is in store for us today, then the humidity will come back.

I still have to finish my grocery list, and clip some coupons. I wish I was one of those crazy coupon people that buy $600 worth of stuff, and after coupons they only spend $5. Ok, maybe not. Can you imagine the storage nightmares?

Have a great day, y’all!

I would wash my hands of that part.

ducks and runs

Daughter finally got to Kansas around midnight - I guess Southwest went by way of Cancun? I don’t think it’s normally a 5 hour flight. Altho the time zone thing might be messing me up…

We got up early and went to the new Cracker Barrel in Waldorf. Last week around 11, the wait was over an hour. This week at 7, we got right in. And waited. And waited. And waiter. I finally had to flag someone down to find out if we had a server. When she finally arrived, she took our order and disappeared - it was way too long before we got our drinks. Then FCD’s order was wrong, and it took another forever for me to get a drink refill. And yet another forever to get the check. The only reason I’ll return there is that it’s just their second weekend and it takes a bit to get all the bugs worked out. But I don’t expect that our server is going to last - she was awful. I only tipped 10%, and I never tip that low!!

We ran by Food Lion so I could get some brownie mix - I’m going to bake for some folks at work. Because I’m nice, dammit. Plus I’ll make enough that we’ll have some at home, too. When we got home, I put my new tomato cages in place - they’re really nice - heavy gauge steel painted shiny red. They were worth the extra $$. I need to get 3 more. The old cage that I have is pretty crappy, plus I forgot about the pepper plants.

I’ve also got some laundry going. I hope to get that done this morning, then go outside after lunch and plant the petunias and dianthus. It won’t take long, but it’s still squishy wet and quite chilly out, and being the delicate flower that I am…

**FCD **has gone to check on the boat and do some stuff at the office. I’m without adult supervision. Party on!! WOOOO!!! Or I’ll nap. Either way.

Happy Sunday!

Wanted to get a quick hello in before this MMP goes to bed.

Hi all!
