The Bloomin' MMP

butters, a drownded laptop is why all of the stuff on my home 'puters is backed up in the cloud. At irk, I back up stuff on my H drive.

doggio, Gordie’s funny. Nelson’s quirk is that he doesn’t bark at squirrels and rabbits, but will bark and strain his leash lest a robin or other birdie come within spittin’ distance.

I finished the fifth Friday of the week, bought groceries, took Nelson to the dog park and picked supper up from Captain D’s. I’s tahred.

I saw Mittens, the not fixed cat that lives next door, chasing a very small rabbit across the street. I didn’t get there fast enough to see what happened. Damn it!

The MMP seems to be raining cats and dogs…

Soccer practice completed and lineups prepared for tomorrow’s games. Will leave the house at 8am Saturday and if all goes to plan, will get home about 3pm after coaching two games and refereeing two more. In 90F heat. Main plan is not to die.

Also made reservations for spending several nights in Charlotte, NC the first weekend in June to referee at an AYSO tournament. First time in the city (I’ve been at the airport a lot, but never actually in town).

Don’t I know it! I just stepped in a poodle.

:rimshot: I’ll be here all week. Try the veal.

Fortunately I am a certified instructor in a broad range of subjects? :stuck_out_tongue:

I would avoid the veal until the lab

results come back.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 67 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 95 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. This mornin’ I have ush duty for a funeral over to the church house at ten a.m. I had gotten to know Ed over the past few years when he moved up this way from Flahrduh to be near his daughter. He was a nice guy and will be missed. He was a teacher and basketball coach for forty-five years. WOW! Other than that, no big plans in place. Last night I was so sleepy, I went to bed at seven-thirty and woke up this mornin’ right at five a.m. Thus I feel mightily rested.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. At some point purtification and gettin’ suited up must commence as well.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Happy Saturday!

Well, not really since I have been up since 3:30 and couldn’t get back to sleep.

It’s supposed to rain today, it was windy and cool when I let the dog out this morning.
Lots to do again today.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Today is my Firday(finally).

Up and breakfasting! I’ve got a sprinkler going out front, and shortly, I’ll start one out back. It smells like rain, but we only have a 40% chance tonight, and we’ve got new seed, so I’ll be watering all weekend.

Remember a few weeks back when I told you about the friend of my folks who died - she had inoperable cancer. Well, yesterday, her husband came home to find his daughter had died, too. She had a history of substance abuse - in and out of rehab - and apparently she had some sort of seizure while he was doing his volunteer shift at the hospital. Poor Jim - life’s really kicking him these days… :frowning:

In less gloomy news, **FCD **cleaned the garage yesterday, and today we’re going to move a bunch of the kids’ stuff from his shed to the garage. Then we’ll move his motorcycle from the garage to the shed. I don’t think I mentioned that it’s supposed to hit 90° today. I foresee much sweatage.

Other chores before the weekend is up include laundry (of course) and running the carpet cleaner in the kids’ bedroom. Cleo (or Taz?) puked on the carpet a couple of places. I’ve also got to put sheets on the bed in that room. And get some groceries. And run the vacuum. I think I’m gonna be busy.

Happy Saturday!

In the weird dream department I was in a grocery store and found cans of spare guts spelled just like that. Swampy is in my haid.

I was out late last night. I woke up early but then rolled over & when I next looked at the clock, it was 7 mins until I was supposed to be somewhere to meet people. Not dresses, not breakfasted, not yet in the car; so I did the next best thing…I rolled over again.

Now I gotta go thru everything from last night.

Moooom, I’m sorry about your friend’s daughter.

swampyu, I’m sure that Ed’s family appreciates your service for his funeral.

I’m up, caffeinating, breakfasted, have the puppy crate cleaned and a load of towels in the wash. I’m fixin’ to do KP and purtify to go out into public. I need to get the herbs and flowers to pot on the patio this afternoon as well as a couple of things at the pharmacy. If it’s not too hot, therre may be a trip to the dog park in store for Nelson. I’m finding that when the humidity is up, he gets a cough, so I want to keep him under the AC during the heat of the day.

We’ve just about finished our garage/shed chores. **FCD **is in the shower, and when he’s done, we’ll load the truck, take a bunch of stuff to the dump, then get some lunch. Definitely a hot, sweaty, choreful morning.

No rain yet, it is a beautiful day.
It’s 73 degrees out now, supposed to get up to 84.
The morning did sucketh mightily, and I went back to sleep.
This afternoon is going pretty well.

What’s really nice with this weather is that when the cat comes in and I pick him up, he smells like sunshine.

Yeah, about that, I needed to give #2Grandson a ride that direction yesterday so I went to the pharmacy and talked to the pharmacist. He said “Let me run that again.” “Oops!” Your copay shoulda been $0!

On the other hand, I got a bill from my dentist for $84 for going in and just talking about having a tooth pulled. Oy!
Well he did* look* in there, so there’s that. sigh

It’s supposed to be in the 80s Murikan here today and maybe 90, or at least 89, tomorrow. Some people like those kinds of temperatures. I’m not one of them.
It’ll be time to lug the window A/C units back downstairs soon. For some insane reason, they spend the winter in the upstairs back closet. I learned a long time ago that it’s better all around if I don’t question these things.

Onward!

The garage is, for all intents and purposes, done. We took a load to the dump, then went to Red Robin for lunch - and got half off my sammich! I love their Red Royalty thing.

When we got home, **FCD **took a load to the thrift store and I de-pollened the truck. The truck is back on its parking pad, my car is in the garage, and I’m taking a breather before planting my marigolds and geraniums. I’ve also got the sprinkler going on a section of the yard that I didn’t know got seeded.

And I got an automated call to confirm my truck rental reservation for next week - we’re good to go. Yay!

Back from a half day at irk. Today is Lucky Louie’s 12th birthday.

I remembered I have Carbonite back up unless it expired. I will call and check on that. That would be just too lucky.

I ordered a new computer that will be here on Tuesday. Yay.

The mail carriers are collecting food today and I saw hubby had put a box out there. No telling what he is giving away.

Happy weekend.

Howdy Y’all! Ed got funeralized real good. A good crowd on hand for a Sattidy mornin’ followed by a nice N.O.L. in the Parish Hall. After that, I installed two new ceilin’ fans in da cave. Go Me! I was productive without adult supervision even.

Butters the stuff in the can tastes like spare guts.

GrandMOOOOOOM sorry about your friend’s daughter. Poor guy’s had it rough lately.

HAPPY BIRTHDY HRH LUCKY LOUIE!!! ::skritches::

To the dump? To the dump? To the dump, dump dump?
