The dogs didn’t stay out very long.

I suppose we will head for the park, probably a little later than usual, and no intentions of staying very long.
I woke up early and decided to stay up, I have no idea why.
The hallway was darker than usual, I didn’t see Ripple and stepped on him.
Lil’ Shit weighs 24.5 pounds, under the 25-60 pound range for her flea and heartworm pills. I wanted to buy a 6 month supply, but that will have to wait until next month.
I’m still feeling the grumpies. I’m getting irritated by things that should not bother me. I know it’s partly the holidays, I do not want to go to the armpit. I feel like I have to go, and I know I should go, but I sure don’t want to. I hate the drive, I hate the chaos, but I’ll feel guilty if I don’t go.
I am also getting very very angry at my neighbor. I like her, but I want the goddamned window fixed. She’s not going to do it. I could call the city, but she will know I did it and I have to live next door to her. You’d think the same city inspector, who will send out a nasty letter because a weed is outside the fence, could look up a little higher and see a missing window. Of course, the city may not give a flying fuck about a missing window, but they sure were happy as hell to send me a vacant house bill for not living in the house I’m living in, and to send me a notice to remove untagged car that was not on my property.
But a gaping hole in the back of a house goes totally unnoticed.
Assholes.
The neighbor on the other side of her called the landlord about the trees pushing the fence over, he was supposed to come out Thanksgiving week, well nothing has been done about that either. I’ve cut down as much of it as I can. Of course at this point I don’t care if she loses her phone and cable, I can’t use my basement sink, I can’t use my back closet, and I have to replace the roof of my shed because of her tree.
I’m pissed.

**MetalMouse **- we’ve given our decent, unwanted furniture to organizations that assist victims of domestic violence. Rather than going into a thrift store, the stuff went directly to people who needed it, so that’s another possibility for your furniture.
I need to go to the credit union today, I need to clean the critter fountain, and I need to make a checklist for daughter and SIL since they’ll be leaving after us and I don’t want to come home to the way they tend to leave things. Bad enough every morning I find food leavin’s in the kitchen sink strainer…
After I get back from my delayed going-away to-do, we’ll pack as much as we can in the car - leaving mostly the toiletries and the frozen foods till last. And this time tomorrow, we’ll be on the road - possibly as far as NC, depending on how early we wake up.
Meanwhile, I need to get thru today. Happy Thursday!!
ya know FCM, I had a cousin who would leave dirty dishes in the sink over night. One day he came home to find them in his bed.

Home from the park and it was cold. I tried out the toe warmers, they irked for a bit but my toes still got cold. I think I may need to put them a little bit more forward on my foot next time.
Some kind of digging is going on out front, I wonder if I should log in at 10 as scheduled, or wait a bit to see how much noise they are going to make. They’ve got Ripple in a tizzy.
Morning all. Up from 3-4am then went back to bed until 8am, we’ll see how the day goes. Much less activity planned than yesterday, already got the garbage and recyclables out to the curb for pickup. 31F going to 49F today and N.O.S.
swampy, right now I have to first (1) Do some packing and move my books/bookcases out to the garage (2) get Goodwill or someone to pickup as much of my furniture as they want (3) Get ‘Chunk n Junk’ to take the rest (4) get rooms painted and re-carpeted and then I’ll finally get to see the new stuff. Plan is to be fully done by 30 Jan 2020.

Spidey, closing in on 30,000 miles, which isn’t much, but the tires were original equipment and they’re looking pretty thin. As for the battery, I got caught on my previous car up at my brother’s one Xmas not all that long ago, so I’m somewhat edgy about them.

Roxy and I went to the Credit Union. She was fascinated by their tree - after I took care of business, we went to look at it. She had to point out every ball, and she called all the large snowflake ornaments stars, which is close enough for a toddler. I had to carry her out, else we’d still be there.
SIL took the trash and recycling. I should probably dig out a suitcase and start packing. Maybe later. We shall see.
And it’s freekin’ cold out there!!! Even with the sun shining…
I noticed 2 pints of blueberries in the fridge that Roxy hasn’t even attacked yet, so I just popped a blueberry cobbler into the oven. I’ll take the other pint with us for her to nosh on while we’re in FL.
Plus I’ve cleaned the critter fountain and cleaned the windows on the door between the kitchen and the garage. I should probably get a curtain for that door… Some day. Not today.
This years season if I named it like a tv movie would be “the christmas i couldnt care
less” im not the sunniest person this time of the year but i can usually find something redeeming value in it but this year? aint happening …

Not that there is much to report. Nappage completed and garbage cans returned to the garage plus dishes washed and ready to be put away. Pretty nice day out, will be doing soccer in about an hour, debating if I want to eat something now, fix something when I get home, or just grab a burger–burger is in the lead right now.
FCM, the kids and Roxy also going to FLA? Kinda reads that way.

**MetalMouse **- they’re driving to FL on Sunday night. SIL has to work Sat night, and he plans to sleep all day Sunday so they can drive thru the night. They’re hoping Roxy will sleep most of the trip.
Back from meeting former coworkers - if I liked beer, it would have been a great venue. But they did have ginger ale, so I was good. I’ve supped on soup and shortly, I’ll dig out a suitcase and start packing. Hope I can sleep tonight. I may take a snort of amaretto to help knock me out.

It’s been a hard night’s day. The guys upstairs have a big screen TV in their bedroom, and the base was rattling the windows from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m… And I wasn’t feeling well. Not too long ago, they were vacuuming at 1 a.m… They’re ALWAYS carousing between 12 and 3 a.m., and there are quiet hours here. Last night was the last straw, so today I went up there. Nobody home, but several bags o’ trash stacked up by the door. We just got notified 2 weeks ago that we’re not supposed to do that. Anyway, I stuck a very polite note on their door asking them to please keep it down. I brought up cookies after they moved in last summer. They owe me, dammit. :rolleyes:
Doc appointment went fine. He bumped up my IBS med. My cholesterol is a little high (runs in the family), but because I have healthy habits and low BP, he’s not worried. I’m supposed to get some kind of heart CT scan that’ll show if there are calcium deposits in the heart. Insurance won’t cover. Anybody ever had one?
Also got a pneumonia shot.
I walked home (1.75 miles) in the rain.

I have to get a new driver’s license. It’s been six years, that’s how long they are good for here. Not looking forward to this, I don[t like the place.

Yep. I always have time to kill when the lil’wrekker has her shopping face on. She tried on maybe 20 pairs of boots. She wears sz5, hard to find size. One place recommended she shop in the kids dept.! She was not amused.
We came home with NO boots. Again.
Gale force warning out and it’s blowing. Doubt it’s gale force but very windy and coolish. It was 64F in my car this morning. Probably the same for tomorrow morning.
I took the 60" Vizio TV in for repair. It cost $50 just to get an estimate, which I should get next week.
I went to Costco and got a hunka deadcow. USDA Choice rib. (Couldn’t afford Prime.) I also got two bottles of 14 Hands Hot To Trot. On the way home, I picked up some Carolan’s Irish Creme, Pernod, and ouzo.
Dinner was green salad, some red wine, a Landjäger, cheddar cheese, and a small glass of chianti.
