Well, frick. Amazon says the last gift, which was supposed to arrive yesterday, will arrive either today or tomorrow…probably. It’s apparently on a UPS truck somewhere. If it doesn’t arrive tomorrow, I can ask for a refund. I don’t want a darned refund. I want the stupid book so I can wrap it and ship the presents! :mad:

I got a pkg from Macy’s yesterday and when I opened it it was a size M cashmere sweater and inside was a receipt showing it was supposed to go to PR. I have not even looked at Cashmere sweaters and a M won’t fit me. It was $49.99. I don’t know what to do. I don’t exactly want to pay to send it back nor do I want to sit on the phone to fix their error. Advice? I guess I could just keep it and regift it to someone but that doesn’t seem right. Damn Christmas errors.
I had the best nap this afternoon. A very good nap. I have not even dressed today. Sloth day 2 almost I. The books.
Just took the hellion for a walk and checked the mailbox and there was a pkg meant for a few houses up so I delivered that one to their mailbox.
Check your credit card for other unauthorized purchases to make sure you weren’t hacked. If you weren’t, call Macy’s and make them aware. You should not have to pay for return postage if you didn’t buy it, and you may not need to return it.
But definitely don’t eat the $49.99 (plus shipping, I assume).
I called Macy’s. I was not charged for the sweater. The customer service lady thanked me for being honest and gave me a coupon code for 25% off. They are supposed to send a shipping label but I have not got it yet.

My first gym workout – ever.
I did 12 reps on the machines for the upper body (at the weights suggested by a trainer), 20 reps on the leg press machine, and five minutes on an elliptical machine. I didn’t want to over do it my first time.
They’re 78s, so not everybody’s cuppa.
Got an e-mail later today that they cancelled the order after all. I suppose they are slower this time of year.
I had to go to Bi-Mart today anyway 'cause Wifey wanted a toaster that was on sale in their add paper, so I picked up the keyboard there. (They were out of the toasters.) I’ll test it out tomorrow.
Time for dinner.
Chicky dumplings were eaten. Mr.Wrekker is off playing poker. The lil’wrekker is practicing with her Chorale group.
Cool evening out. I’m watching TCM and being lazy.

Holy crud. Thanks for that. Henceforth, I shall spend all my time in my living room, which faces a forest. Unless squirrels go airborne and smash through windows, I should be OK. I think. I hope.
My joints let me go to the gym today. I like Friday workouts because they involve, among other things, throwing a medicine ball at a wall. Takes me back to my childhood, it does. Swinging a kettleball and using stretchy resistance bands, not so much fun, but if feels so good when it stops.
And when I got home, the book had arrived! Yay! Now I can go mail everything tomorrow and be done with that.

I actually have a record player that could play them. It will play 4 speeds, 33, 45, 78, & <something on the slower end but I don’t remember w/o pulling it out to look at it>.
Go back to Bi-Mart, get two (or three) toasters & some strawberry pop-tarts (along with blueberry ones if you get three toasters). Report back to us with the results.

Was going to make fudge tomorrow, but I have a cold that got me a doctor’s note worth 2 days off, 3 different medications and a tissue shortage. No one wants fudge/cookies/cake from me.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 48 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 57 and maybe mostly N.O.S. this afternoon. We shall make a trek to Sam’s for stuff this mornin’. OYKW’s irk has a breakfast thing on Tuesday, so we shall purchase muffins. The muffins are individually wrapped (blueberry, banana nut, and chawkllit chip), so any uneaten ones will make it back to da cave for consumption. YAY! He’s gettin’ muffins cause they were specifically requested. We shall do N.O.L. somewhere whilst out and about. Possibly Cheddar’s cause we like it and it’s right by Sam’s and easy to get in and out. Other than that I foresee sloth.
Bumba a gall bladderectomy is so much easier than it used to be. I remember a friend gettin’ his yanked in the early 80s and it was major surgery. He spend several days in the horsepistol afterwards.

Looks like **FCD **and I will be going to the company party tonight after all. My other chore today will be to find a bottle of a local dry red wine for my mom. My sister is having an early Christmas party tomorrow because she wants to give Roxy her gifts, so I’ll use that occasion to give Mom her gift. I should get a haircut, too - I feel raggedy. Not sure what other chores will come up.
But it’ll all be indoors, because it’s another rainy, dreary day. At least it’s above freezing.

Bumba, laproscopy used to need an overnight in the horse-pistol (at least when I had mind out 25 years ago). If they plan to let you go in the afternoon, then things have improved that much, so it should be no problem (well, there is dying…)
Not an Amazon order, but got the keyboard/mouse and carrying case for the new laptop from UPS Firday night (never heard the knock on the door, just finally spotted the boxes). Computer is due Sunday, according the UPS site.
And need to stop at FEDEX to send the recycled VCR tapes. Get some lifting in without joining a gym…
43F in North Ali-bama heading to about 50F. Got soccer this afternoon and tomorrow, so my Sunday noontime eat out may become the Saturday night Logan’s meatloaf run.

Up and dress and dog walked. Now playing fetch. Day three of sloth has commenced. I have things that need doing today. Laundry, cooking and closet cleaning are on the agenda. Buddyboy also needs a bath but he is not too keen on baths yet so it is a real chore to bathe him. He doesn’t like rain either.
I will be cooking a real meal today since all I have been eating for the last few days are hamburgers. Homemade hamburgers, so very good but now I am tired of them. A trip to the store needs to happen but may wait until tomorrow.

It’s cold, wet, rainy, and foggy outside. It was 34 when I left for the park, supposed to get up to 45 today. As Moooommmmm says, at least it’s above freezing.
I thought nobody else was going to show up today, but as we were leaving Jax showed up, so we stayed. I turned the wrong way leaving the park so I didn’t make it to the bank this morning, but I did get to the PO to mail the cards. I don’t need cash today, so I can stop at the bank tomorrow. There is no way I am going back out in that mess today.
I was supposed to get the dog’s pictures taken with the Grinch today, but that can wait until tomorrow too. Just too messy out there. This time it’s not for charity, it’s to help out a friend’s daughter who is getting into photography.
I wouldn’t mess with the gall bladder Bumba, look what happened to Bobbio.
Nothing special to do today, just irk and normal irksome house irk. The dishwasher is running now, and joy of all joys, I managed to fit everything in this time. I have a HUGE mountain of clean laundry that needs to be carried upstairs and put away. More laundry that needs to be done, but since it isn’t urgent, I may or may not get to it today.
